MinkyDinkys SW Success Diary!!

Took me a while to find my 'thing' with exercise to be honest. I love walking now as it's so good for you head to toe and it's free ;) but I just chuck my headphones in, good music going and off I toddle. I walk pretty much everywhere. I'm clocked up to just over 30 miles for the week and by Tuesdays WI I'll be nearer 35.

Badminton is definitely super fun for a work out but because I'm doing it with a guy who has played for years he wants to push me to get better and makes certain shots harder so I have to really work for it. Doing exercise with another person really helps my motivation and I'm pretty competitive so that helps too :D

What have you tried before? Xx

Yeah company is always good. I'm a bit of a lazy mare and am a nightmare for driving everywhere. Your 30 miles is amazing!!

I used to go to the gym 3 times a week plus lunchtime classes and really enjoyed it once I got into a routine. I love horse riding but it's so flipping expensive! xx

Yay really glad you enjoyed it! :D I'd love to try a yoga class but I'm too self conscious at the minute! Maybes once I've dropped a couple more stone xx

It's being delivered between 2-3 today and I can't wait to get my pork going (oo-er missus!).

Size 12 is crazy... I was a 22/24 before and think I was about 14 the last time I fit a 12! Even buying an 18 was a sense of achievement so now buying this size just kinda blows my mind a bit. You'll be here soon enough too honey xx

I don't think ill ever be a size 12 hehe as long as I get into the 14's ill be happy!

Glad yoga was good! Was it fun? I'd love to try it.

routine does help doesn't it? That's why we go straight from work on a Monday otherwise I think I'd get too comfy and chilled at home to go back out :D maybe once you start your new job you'll find time to do something you enjoy :) xx

The breathing at the end and going 'ooooooooooommmmmmm' was a bit weird for me but it's my first time so I guess I'll get used to it :) you should try it Hun xx

it was good, super enjoyed. Felt muscles stretch and work that clearly have been neglected. Planking with a raised leg definitely pulls the tummy and thigh muscles :D xx

Jacket looks lovely :) also having mac n cheese tomorrow for tea! Cherry tomatoes and spring onions bought, I had it last week and I loved it. Great for leftovers too, it warms back up even better than the day before as all the cheese goes nice and gooey
 
What you say about jobs and routines is so true. I work in a school so get the holidays which is fab but I really struggle going back it messes with my head!
Glad I gave you the idea to go but not all down to me down to you getting sorted and going especially with going on your own etc

Well thank you for the encouragement then ;) done the plank and downward facing dog with leg raises. Must admit, my wrists were starting to ache after the 12th cycle! They'll get stronger though right? Xx

I'm omitting the cherry toms 'cause I hate them! Think I'm going to add some thin sliced leek instead for superfree. Got myself some little takeaway tins to bake it in too :) leftovers are awesome aren't they? Xx
 
Lunch! Stir fried broccoli, mushrooms, red onion, pak choi, carrot, spring onion, ginger, chilli and soy sauce. With my seabass fillets and a boiled egg.

Fish was sooooo tasty! I may just have to go back and get more. Got the boy to try and he didn't like so looks like it's all for me yay! Xx

Glad yoga went well :) and Yum for the fish. Seabass is woderful just grilled with new potatoes and veg.

I'll have a go at that next time :)

You might be able to help me actually...

I'm cooking the pulled pork in a bit as it takes so long but my shoulder is only 700g (probably more like 600 once fat removed). The recipe calls for 1.5kg, no way I'd cook that much for 2 of us! So, my question is, do I halve all of the ingredients? Do I adjust cooking time? I don't wanna screw this up as it looks too good xx
