Thank you sweetie - although how fabulous can one look in a cycle helmet?! They always conjure up images of over sized mushrooms for me :) xx

Lol, you look better than I do in my pink motorbike helmet! Cheeks squashed together and it doesn't half make the wrinkles in my forehead more noticeable! Very attractive! Not!

Ha ha, that did make me chuckle! But I would happily bet that you look way cooler on a motorbike than I do on my push bike! Xx

Another question for all you bike people!!

Gel seat cushions - are they worth it, and can you recommend any if so?

OH's bum hurts (bless) as he is a bony git and the seat isn't the softest. Someone at work mentioned gel covers and before splashing the cash just wanna see if it is worth it.

Thanking you in advance :) xxx

It's my OH that has a bike, not me lol, I'm still plucking up the courage to ride on the back of it!! Haha!

Oooh do it! it's so fun. Just remember to lean on bends and roundabouts otherwise you'll counteract his leaning and you'll go straight :D OH has a motorbike (not that I've been on with him) and I used to ride with my dad before he died and loved it. Thoroughly recommend. What bike does he have? Xx

It takes a few rides out to get used to the saddle. Try bearing with it for a week or two.

I know I've got that joy after the Easter break, back to cycling into work. I will do it this time!

I've clocked up a total of 6.2 miles today. Not too many but certainly made my journey times quicker than walking :)
My mum 'attempted' to get on my bike - it's a 17" frame and she is only 5 ft 4, she went straight into the car! Was amusing and she laughed like a hyena bless her.
But I enjoyed riding which is the main thing.

Just need to keep my mouth closed when I do.....

He's told me never to lean with him! Lol. Well I think that's what he's said......I tend to switch off when he talks 'motorbike'! He's picking his new thundercat up on Saturday, I'm quite excited! :)

Nooooo! Defo lean with, it's sooooo dangerous if you go the other way. So say right hand bend, he leans right, you lean left, you're gonna go straight or cause the bike to go wtf?! And possibly come off.
Thundercat - very nice. I prefer bikes with full faring as opposed to part as they just look sleaker. Will want to see pics of you on it in your pink helmet please ;) xx

Full faring/naked, that's all I hear lol. Maybe we should start a motorbike thread haha! Will post pics up at weekend.....that's if I'm allowed on it! ;)

No miles today ;) left it at home but still walked to work as normal. Bike riding to my friends and back tomorrow who lives t'other side of town so thought I'd give the butt a rest.

Defo going to invest in a gel cushion though, everyone has recommended them and hopefully I won't be disheartened when I get it :)

Hills are a bugger though! Went up a long sloping one last night that was deceiving and just kept saying in my head 'keep going, if you stop, you won't start, c'mon Donna!' made it too! Xx

Woohoo well done hills r the worst! Once u stop it's like impossible to go again u have to walk! X x

More hills today! Managed just under 9 miles and my thighs got angry with me when I get to the uphill bits. Bum not too bad but managing to remember to raise my butt when I 'see' bad road etc.

Freeeezing out and whipping down the dual carriage way took my breath away completely. My arms sting a bit coming into the warmth of my flat from outside but rest of me warmed up nicely once I got going.

Now just need to get my legs used to it and hopefully be clocking up some good long miles on ze bike.

Just waiting for the water retention weight gain to pop up at WI on Tuesday now :D xx
