Hi-di-hi campers!
How are you all? Well I’ve finally managed to find some time to chill out so thought I’d catch up with you all and fill you in with my news! Hope you’re all ok.
Stacy – sorry to hear you’ve been feeling down, honey, but don’t worry, things will pick up soon and don’t you get upset about that lb – it will easily come off again.
Kassy – sounds like you had a lovely holiday, and you’re pics are lush. You look stunning
Diva – stop teasing us with your food porn or we’re going to have to start paying to view these threads soon!
Bin – Hope you’re ok and will be thinking of you all on Thursday. I hope your Dad’s settling back at home now.
Katierose – well done on your losses. You’re doing so well and must be really pleased with yourself.
Flutterby – lovely to meet you. Hope you’re ok.
Well things have been really busy for me over the last few weeks. I finally managed to move house after a very stressful and emotional time. The actual moving day was horrendous. I had two breakdowns and a bit of a panic attack because I was finding it so difficult to get things together and tidy up because my housemate wasn’t helping at all and ended up in tears on the phone to my mum! Never want to go through that again! Am now in my new home and it’s great. My housemates are so lovely and we’ve been chilling out together in the evenings, going to the pub and eating meals together too. It’s really nice coming home and not spending the evening on my own in my bedroom! We’re having a fancy dress Halloween party next Saturday at home then heading into town. I’ve decided to go as Little Dead Riding Hood! Am so exited, my costume arrived last week and I love it. I’ve posted the link so you can see what it’s like. Womens Naughty Biting Hood Costume – Party Delights I’m not getting the wig though, but will scrunch and back comb my hair and make it really messy and add a few twigs in it. I’m also going to get some fish nets and rip them and add loads of fake blood over me to look like I’ve been fighting with the big bad wolf! Lol I’m so excited. Will try and get some pics on here so you can see what we all look like. We went to pound land yesterday and got loads of decorations to put up everywhere. We’re also going into town afterwards to a club to see a band so if all goes to plan, it’s going to be a great night!
My walk was a great success. It turned out to be just under 27 miles because they had to add another half a mile onto the route for health and safety reasons, but I did it in 10 hours, It was a lot longer than I had anticipated, but was also a lot harder too. I was doing really well up until mile 15 when I really started to struggle and for 2 miles I was in agony and on the verge of tears. By the time I got to my pitstop at mile 17 I was almost balling my eyes out and we ended up having a good 20 minute to half an hour break, mainly because there was a huge shortage of toilets too, but while I was waiting for my aunty and cousin, I started to get really bad hot flushes and felt really sick, but somehow I managed to power through it and we completed it. The last 6 miles were tough though and it got to a point where we were all like zombies walking through the City. All you could hear were people’s footsteps because nobody had the energy to talk. It was a little bit eerie to be honest. Walking over the finish line was so emotional. It was such a relief to finish and we all said we would never do it again, but now I’ve had time to reflect and know what to expect, I am actually considering doing it again next year! I was limping all over the place on Sunday and struggled to stand up but after a long hot bath and an early night, I was ok on Monday. Was still a bit sore but by Tuesday, it was like I hadn’t been on a walk for ages! I guess all that training came in handy with the recovery process. My cousin, who didn’t do any training, was amazing on the night. She didn’t moan once but it took her a good week to recover! It’s done though and I managed to raise over £250 so very, very happy.
Amongst the craziness, I’ve also set up my own blog! I’ve only got one post on there at the moment, but will add some more this week. Check it out and let me know what you think. T and Biscuits I’ve also managed to lose 7lbs in the last 3 weeks too! God knows how, but I can’t complain. So all in all, things are looking up.
I know this has been a really self-indulgent post, but it’s been so long since I’ve been on here so I knew I’d have a lot to say! Hope you’re all ok and I look forward to chatting with you all again a lot more now.
Hope you’re all having a lovely evening xxXXxx
