I buy a Bavarian Light Rye from a local shop - it's made by a local bakery nearby. It's not like the moist stuff you get in slices in a sort of brick shape, which I think you might be talking about??? It's more like a wholemeal bread but 'darker' in flavour if that makes sense! Because it's a shallow loaf and is very dense I can cut it quite thin to get small slices, then when it's toasted it's a bit like a thick, dark melba toast! Ha ha - not really sure if that description does it justice! I like it though! :)

Well done for not resorting to real chippyshop chips, your version seems a lot more saintly in comparison!

Also, thanks for clarifying re. rye bread, I'm gonna take a look into the drier version you've mentioned when next near a good bakery. :)

Wow you've got lots of yummy treats to try out plus I like your healthy version of chip shop chips ;0)

Yep the chips were good - had them again today with fish fingers and peas!

White Pigeon - yes do try it if you can find it - I like it 'cos it doesn't taste as 'healthy' as wholemeal bread to me! Sort of a more nutty flavour.

Daisy - have put all the choccies in a tin and got hubby to put them on the top shelf in the pantry so I have to at least climb on the steps to get them!

Yep! Unfortunately the new day carried on a bit like Sunday! LOL! I didn't know about the Sunday lunch 'til quite late on, so hadn't planned for it at all. Then my hubby is on hols this week, and the plan was to go out for a few days in the later part of the week (after Wednesday weigh in!) He said yesterday that with the weather being so nice, that we'd kick ourselves if we stayed at home and then it peed down later in the week and we hadn't gone anywhere, which is true, so we went to Gooderstone Water Gardens Gooderstone Water Gardens Norfolk Norwich Water Garden East Anglia UK.
which was lovely, but food wasn't planned at all!

I had a chicken salad on Sunday evening, so that left me in deficit....

Monday 23rd July

Breakfast - Brioche Loaf and Butter - Total 10PP
- 2 slices Brioche Loaf (6PP), 4 tspns butter (4PP)

Lunch/in the car/ at the Water Gardens - Total 12PP

Tea (at Wells-by-the-Sea) - Burger and Chips - Total 18PP -
half a portion of Chips (7PP?) one Burger, no batter (8PP), one scoop Ginger Ice-Cream (3PP), more diet Cola!

At Home - 3 spoonfuls Rocky Road Ice Cream - 2PP

So grand totals - 42PP, 29 dailies and another 13 (can't call them weeklies as they are all gone!)APs today - 2 hours slow walking around the gardens and Wells apparently = 8PP, which leaves me with a deficit of 8PP

One day to go before weigh day - well I'm not expecting great things this week - would be happy with a STS, but if I get a gain will just have to accept it and carry on. After all, it would have been mad not to go out at the beginning of the week with hubby just because Wednesday is weigh in. I hadn't planned anything for yesterday's food, but feel reasonably happy that I didn't go as mad as I would have done in the past... we will see tomorrow. It looks like we are out today soon as well...

The place you visited looks really nice :0) you may still get a loss on Wednesday but as you say it made sense to go while the weather was nice :0) I hope you have a lovely day today :0)
