My Weight Loss Journey

Ooh noooo, sorry to hear about the car saga!! Don't you just hate car trouble!! Hope you got it sorted! But anyway, your loss must have made you feel 10 feet tall! What a brilliant result, considering how like me you felt down in the dumps with it all last week!! We've both made a comeback and are back on track with a vengeance!! Yayyyy!Slimming World rocks baby yeh!XXXXXXXX

Really happy with the WI results yesterday :) Today has been really hectic (dropping off my car as my window wasn't shutting- what is it with car problems recently, participation in Spanish event at school, picking up kids, then picking my oldest from football, then coming home and rushing to make dinner, then back to school to Parent's Association Meeting, and now finally home) thus the really bizarre eating pattern and food.

It was going to be a Green Day, but ended up being a Red one.

Breakfast- Banana
Snack- Crabsticks, 3 Ryvita WG Crackbread (.5 HEB)(rushing out the door)
Lunch- Broccoli Soup (this was delicious)
Snack- Skinny Cow Triple Chocolate Brownie Ice Cream (4.5 syns), Curly Wurly (6 syns)
Dinner: More Crabsticks (finished a whole pack of 16!!!!)
Snack- this was the bad part- had too many syns today- 8 chocolate chip biscuits!!! Need to calculate the syns (EDITED- 2.5 syns each so 20 syns!!!)for that with some Green Lemon Tea
These biscuits were a "one off" - no more syns like this for this week!!! I'll make sure of it and if not you all kick me up the bum!

Water: 1.0 litre
Exercise: None

Iamtobethin: All my days this week are quite busy and I'm noticing that I'm not eating as much as last week (when I lost a good amount), so need to plan a bit better.
Kaye: Thanks for your msg and missed seeing your updates. Hope you are back on track :)

100% day yesterday, but not drinking enough all this week. I don't normally edit the water intake, but maybe I should start doing that as this week I've maybe had .5 litre if that each day. Need to up my water intake too!

A 100% day yesterday :)
Got a knock on the door last night and was thinking it was probably one of my neighbours and guess who...it's one of my husband's relatives. Argghh...why don't they at least call to inform they are coming. It's a good thing I had a bit extra cooked and I had eaten before he came. Was awake until late hearing them talking downstairs so really tired today.
OH still not feeling better and they didn't do anything but take more blood at the appointment (after waiting over 2 hours). It's amazing that after over 2 weeks and we still don't know exactly what he has and what has caused the jaundice. Wonder if this is the way the health system runs everywhere in the UK or is it just a local thing???

Anyways I keep going and trying to make different foods for OH. It's sad though because he is so used to having curries and now it's just plain food and mostly boiled! You might think it makes my life easier, but remember I still have to make something separate for my OH's BIL and the kids.

Okay will stop complaining now (oh wait one more thing...there are more guests coming on Sunday)...

Here's what I'm having today:

Green Day
Breakfast- 2 grand conference pears (extra large ones- they were so nice and juicy), 1 Alpen Light (.5HEB) with Green Lemon Tea
Lunch- Crabsticks (HEB) with Fried Mushrooms with AH Spice Sensation Cous Cous (.5 syn)
Snack- Activia FF yogurt and 2 clementines
Dinner- Spaghetti with Quorn Meatballs, side salad
Snack- 1 Alpen Light (.5HEB) with green lemon tea and a Total 0% yogurt with Skinny Cow Hot Choc (2 syns) for later

Water: 1.0 litre (did well yesterday with the water)
Exercise: Clean up the house

Syns Explanation: Not having many today and think I made up for the chocolate chips the other day, but want to save some for the weekend when I'm more likely to pick on something when my guests come.

hey hun, hope foodies go to plan today. sucks having to make a billion diff things, its the same in our house for my dad, who coincidentally was in mri yesterday and i have to say i am really irritated at their services, or pure lack of. :(

Hey sweetie :) He's still in, had a switch between MRI and Christie's yesterday morning for a CT scan appointment but is back at MRI, he's having his lung drained again. The staff were just horrible and very short with everyone, I know it's still just a job to them but they have the most important job in juggling people's lives! How's OH doing? I hope you get some answers soon :(

I think you fully deserve the Maltesers for what you have to put up with in the next few days! You get a lot of staying-over guests... I was just about to say 'do they not have kids that need to go to school?' but then realised it was the weekend, doh! Still though, I mean you have kids and it probably upsets your plans and routines, no? Or maybe that's just the way I'd feel...

Today's eats look good! Would you fancy bulking up your dinner with some other mixed veg? Either as a salad or just chucked into the pasta? It'll fill you up for a bit longer :) xxx

OH is not feeling well today- not feeling well from the inside and he feels really tired- jaundice problem still not resolved and really upset they still haven't diagnosed what he has properly, as he is not on any treatment at the moment. All they said so far is that it will resolve itself with time.
I hit the Trafford Centre and Costco with the kids just so they wouldn't be at home to bother him. Instead they ended driving me crazy though... Got home and first thing I did is complain about the kids, so got in an argument with OH that I don't have patience with the kids, don't know how to handle them. Just went to the kitchen to cook and forget about everything.
Have OH's family coming tomorrow (already called them to tell them not to bring any kids as OH is not well). Hopefully they will help me with the cooking and making things for OH as I am running low on ideas and my tolerance level is running low:cry:
Yes my house is like a hotel really and it's just OH's family is so big and they want to both come to visit OH and also come to meet with his BIL- it's all cultural.

I'm making some Vegetable Soup (carrots, leeks, onions is all I have now) to last me for the next 2-3 days :)

Hope your dad gets better soon!

hey hun just wanted to send you some big fat hugs ((((((((((((meli)))))))))))). hope things pick up soon xxx

Sounds like he's having it tough :( Have you spoken to your GP about it? They may be able to help fast track things?

The whole cultural thing is really a massive thing to take on - I salute you for having the patience! I think if I hadn't been born into it, I would never understand it!

Your veggie soup sounds good :) I'd chuck in a tin of baked beans too lol but then again, I eat way too much of those

Thanks hun, I hope he does too... Much better this evening, and mum just told me a few of my uncles are driving down from London in the morning to come see him, which will be nice. They told mum not to cook anything as they'll be eating on Wilmslow Rd (typical boys!) so it's good for me :)

Big hugs from me too - you're so near yet so far! xxx

Last time we went to the GP they didn't have anything on the computer system saying he was in the hospital, so not sure what to expect from them either. I made an appt for my husband on Tuesday, but will call tomorrow to see if they can get results from the blood tests so they can discuss on Tuesday with him. We'll see what happens. Today after investigating on the internet it seems a raw food diet is what he needs so I think I went a bit crazy with fruits and veg. Going to try some new soups soon (some recipes I found to cleanse your liver), so should be interesting and hopefully give me a boost in my weight loss too.

I sent OH to bed because we've been waiting for the family to come and they still are not here. Think someone died from far away family and they went there first on the way to Manchester. Good thing is they told me not to cook anything, but I cooked anyways (so I don't have to cook tomorrow) :) Made a hug pot of Mutton Curry and have the chicken mince ready to make Chapli Kebabs tomorrow.

Looks like you're going to be busy with guests too then. Good thing you are off to uni tomorrow :p

Food today started off well, but after the Nutella came out...and well I couldn't resist, but still within syns for today.

phew meli hun....i always feel tired just reading your diary!!!!!!
very mucho body magic indeed!!

Any news for me?!?!! I lost 1 1/2lb! Not bad, espesh after lemon cupcakegate in Costa on Fri followed by those naughty little cakes in the evening, but as you saw, I pulled it back massively over the weekend!! Just can't wait to get back below pre Spain weight!! I hate going for a whole month with basically no progress! It makes me kick myself for being naughty on hols!!! Look forward to seeing your loss!!X

WI Results: Lost .5lb, okay with that as I haven't been a saint the last 48 hours.

Tell me about it...feeling so tired today and OH's family did most of the cooking, but went to bed at 2:30am and woke up at 7am, so definately messed up my system.
Did a lot of body magic, but think that the Nutella just took over this weekend and even today WI day...I couldn't give it up. Fortunately it is now finished (kids also had some today), so no more temptation and won't buy it again.
Came back from WI tonight and snacked on some food guests made and some Hummus and Wholemeal Tortilla, so I'll draw a big line tomorrow and start fresh :)
How did you do Lurverick?
Well done on your loss Heather!!
