remember nicotine mimics brain chemicals so once you stop the nicotine your body does not have enough of them and needs to make more that takes a while - nicotine takes three days to get out of your system - walk plenty and drink plenty of water to help flush the system :)

Hi that's ok.
I'm on day 4 haven't slept In 3 days I feel like ice swallowed razor blades. Although I'm not in a very terrible mood which is good. How long does it take for the mental cravings to go???.
 
mental cravings take longer
find things to fill your time with
but you are no longer addicted to the nicotine its just now a mental battle
and in some ways it should be so much easier for you as there is so little smoking in public places now unless outside of course
for me there was still smoking in pubs and smoking areas in some cafes etc and of course in the work place and many people I worked with smoked - so hopefully all that will help you

wash all the bedding and curtains and clean your carpets and all your clothes - fill your home with freshness - even if you smoked outside you still brought the smell in with you so for now just keep it all fresh and enjoy
 
Thanks for the advice we never smoked inside because of imi so house car smoke free. You are right is easier just mentally I'm taking a battering :( x
 
you will take a huge battering
sit down and work out the hours you have not smoked for
put that into mins you have not smoked for
then that into seconds
you will soon see how well you have actually done and it might help keep you on track
 
there are things to help you sleep but I wont suggest anything to a pregnant woman as I dont know what will be safe for you
just get the kip where you can even when Imi has her daytime nap cuddle up on the sofa with a good book if you cant sleep :) and walk and drink water they work wonders
 
Hey. I'm so fed up. Still no rest I'm on day 5 no smoking and feels good :) on the downside because I'm so tired I just can't be bothered to make interesting food or keep up with my long walks :( x
 
but day five is brilliant you no longer have any nicotine in your body just think how wonderful that is

now get your backside off the sofa and walk your socks off :):) sod the food you know the plan eat simple for now

I'm off my backside to walk to the shopping centre to tell smoking clinic I don't need their nrt anymore otherwise they'll just keep calling :( x
 
good for you - make a huge point in that you have done it by yourself and although difficult you have done it
I am off for a planned walk today to
at about 11 I plan to walk for 10 -15mins (depends how its going) out towards the nearest village and then walk home- I want to see how far I get and obviously over time to be able to do further in the same time and also for longer
 
They made me feel bad that I didn't wnt NRT and also about tony with his hypno therapy said hell fail. I came away so disheartened :( :(

Walked about a mile today and we're off to town so little more slow walking :) x

DONT listen to them they get paid partly on results - well they are funded by results
and they really dont like to think of their therapy as not working or not needed
the only people I know who have used nrt have all started smoking again as the nicotine is not out of their system :) so hang in there
the statistics are good for you know much better than day 5 with nrt you are clear of one of the most addictive substances known :):)

so how many hours has it been now - since the last ciggie
are you sleeping better - I cant remember exactly but I know it did take some time for my sleep to settle - and I didnt have a little one to look after so in that sense it was easier for me

I have a planned walk today and some baking to be done
what plans do you and Imi have today
 
Hi it's been 6 days :) we haven't got any plans at the moment was going to get tony to drop us in town for a look round then walk home. Still got the worst cold though!! Still not sleeping an I'm getting to end of my rope with it :( x
