My yo yo life

I spoke too soon. I was back to recent lowest yesterday but today am back to 2lb up. I didn't over do food yesterday i still had over 700 calories left including exercise calories.

Having a day off from the shred I am wondering if everyday is a bit to intense for me so might just do every other day which is still better than nothing. Might try some of the Leslie walking instead.

Aw. Try not to be too disheartened. Keep doing what you're doing and it will soon drop off!!! And drink plenty of water when you're exercising more! xxxx

That is the reason I have abandoned my scales for a couple of weeks - still counting calories, still doing the exercise but keeping off the scales. I do get disheartened quite easily and can tell just as well with my clothes.
Keep on going and do the first Leslie walk and see how you go - I found the shred a little bit too much but can easily do the Leslie fast 3 mile walk now.

I am trying :) I do try and drink water but I am not really keen. Been drinking fizzy flavoured water.

Scales really do rule our lives don't they. I will still weigh in but I won't let it get to me. Didn't do the walk today but will do it tomorrow instead of the shred. Only thing is I can't get it on my telly. Will have to hold my phone in front of me and do it :) might look odd but who will see me! !

I think we need to be having a serious word with your scales, they seem to have a mind of their own...They need to start playing fair!

Hopefully that extra 2lbs is just a fluctuation from exercise and holding fluid.

I wi just once a week now, before I started back properly being healthy again i'd wi every morning and some days id be so disheartened id eat about 4 slices of toast and jam for breakfast in utter frustration. My mood for the day would be determined by what I weighed. It's pretty soul destroying..as the fluctuations never seemed to reflect what id eaten...

Note to scales....start being nice! Xxx

Feel free to come and give my sales a good talking to :) luckily at the moment the number on the scales just make me more determined where as other times it used to like you determine what kind of day I would have. Xc

Finally did the 2 mile Leslie walk today and I really enjoyed it. A great little workout. Fasting today, nothing eaten yet. Going to have 2 stand and fill tacos for tea with quorn mince, mushrooms, courgettes, ww tikka masala and cottage cheese. Also got an orange ww jelly made up to eat throughout the day. Trying to keep my fast to the proper fast limit of 500 calories today.

I am so glad I posted the original link to the you tube Leslie Sansone walks on this thread - happy you are all enjoying them.
 
Leslie Sansone says that she can't tell you how many calories you can burn on a work out but calculate it at approx 1 mile at 100 cals - all depends on weight/height etc.

Really pleased to have finished the day on 467. Lowest fast in a while. Other days have only really been what 5:2ers would call low cal days. Even though I still counted them as a fast, they were good enough for me. Its actually been really easy today. But I am definitely looking forward to eating tomorrow. Xx

467 all day :eek: As I said before I could not do that - I know you weigh a lot more than me now but even at my heaviest weight I could not have done that. Good Luck to you in whatever you do.
 
I never thought I would manage it at first. But its only twice a week so it really does feel like a 2 day diet. The other days just feel like my old normal days. Saturday I don't count calories at all but I do try not to overindulge if I can. But sometimes I do.

I always said I could never do it, heard of JUDDD/5:2 but thought it was madness. Now I do under 500 calories 3 times a week and love it, find it so easy to do and find the eating days so much more difficult. Don't knock it till you try it, you'll be amazed what you can do.
Really well done on the fast Rach, all good!!
 
Thanks hun. Xx I am so glad I got back into it again. Really pleased with myself and the scales were happy too :) not sure whether to go by today's weight or weigh in tomorrow and go by that as Saturday was always my official weigh in day. Xx

Scales can be the devil! I think I'll chuck the battery from mine in the bin so I only get weighed at my SW class from now on haha. Glad yours are playing the game a bit better now though.

My friend's mum swears by the 5:2 diet! Seems to work for quite a lot of folk x
