NannyDoreen & Upndown's daily diaries

Glad you're feeling better, upndown. Take heed of Doreen though and don't do too much. Hopefully, that's your share of illness out of the way now, well before Christmas! :)

Kathy xx

I'm also glad you're starting to feel better Linda, you seem to have had a rough week. I hope it's at least helped with weigh in on Friday, some recompense for being ill! X

Thanks Kathy - let's hope we'll be clear of bugs for a while now! caught up with house stuff yesterday and think that's slowed me down today!! Hubby suggested eating out as we have a busy few days coming up and my son, DiL and 2 year grandson are staying with us this weekend. But neither of us were v hungry when we got to the restaurant so we just had a small meal and came home - party poopers!!

thx wd like to think I'll get a good loss but I don't feel any thinner in fact I feel a bit bloated!

hi - a funny day for me - felt whacked after my busy day yest - then we went out for a meal tonight but neither of us fancied much to eat when we got there - so came home early!

B: toast HEB and marmite, pineapple
L: SW veg soup. apple
T: cod loin, couscous and menu said 'greens' which turned out to be cabbage and mini florets of cabbage - tasted better than it sounds - which is probably why they describe them as greens!

Your meal sounds nice to me, I love greens, cabbage, any veg really... Mmm sprouts! Lol
So glad you're starting to feel better, now listen to all us Mums and stop trying to do too much!! Xx

Thx for that - Poppy was tearful on her way to school and looked pale so her Mum asked me to look after this morning whilst she's at work - then I'm helping with the school Christmas fair later - but Poppy's no trouble - I gave her a relaxing bath (she loves them) and she's now playing with her Barbies and I enjoy helping at school xxx

I'm not going to be around much today - so posting my food plan now - hoping cos I've posted here - I'll stick to it - lots of temptation at school fair later but I'll be busy face painting so hopefully I'll be ok! Hope everyone has an enjoyable on plan day - and that things improve in the other Linda's household.

B: HEB toast marmite
L: SW potato and leek soup
T: Kathy's (Chocko1) chilli and a bit of rice and salad leaves if slugs haven't gobbled them all (question - do slugs gobble?)
Any snacks will be fruit - will take some to the fair!

So nice for for you to have Poppy. I think the children relax us at time. Glad you are recovering Upndown. Don`t forget not too much at once.

Thursday 27th November.

B: nothing. Just coffee and a visit to niece for another two coffees.

L: M&S Lasagne (5 syns) and fresh tomato

S: bananas & Pears

D: Chicken stew & broccoli and gravy grans (2syns)

Hopefully that will be all. WI tomorrow.

Oooh an extra light day Doreen - gold star for you today!! Hope WI goes your way - will pop in as close to 12 as I can but have to go out for a bit!xx

Yes you're right and I am feeling tons better - my 2 year old grandson is up for the weekend so that will be a tonic!!xx

I suggest fruit mini kebabs, on cocktail sticks so they're easy to grab and colourful. Enjoy the face painting, that's lots of fun. Xx

Thx for that suggestion - only just read it but had bananas and apples in my bag - not as exciting as kebabs but filled the gap! Very pleased I didn't touch any of the many goodies esp as my 'job' changed and I was on the ...... wait for it ..... ta da ....... the cake stall - some of them looked so yummy! We made £123.40!!

My son said he'd prefer to face paint than sell cakes!! He did a better job than me but said he felt stressed in case the children didn't like what he'd done - bless!

I bought a fruit cake for hubby cos I don't like them and muffins for the family - fine cos they're not at my house!! Poppy and her friend ran the 'count the sweets' stall and was very organised - she seemed quite grown up!!

Anyone got any ideas on how to make a quick Mary costume - Poppy announced at 8.30pm on the way home from the fair that she needed one for 2moro (she's been off school and only found out this afternoon!) obviously she won't have it for the morning but the show is on Tuesday with dress rehearsal on Monday - bad timing as her Mum's school has an inspection starting on Monday and has loads to do - so I'll help out but not sure how yet!! Any suggestions will be gratefully received!!

Hi - sts for me again - bit disappointed cos I was ill and didn't eat much some days but going to copy willbeslimjen's ideas this week - doing 2 success express days, upping superfree and basing meals on free still having syns but max of 70 over the week - hope Linda has a good loss and Doreen gets what she's after! Out for most of the day doing bits - see you later xx

Ag a sts the same is good when you have been ill. Not eating a lot can actually make you out in. Your body holds on to its stores to keep you going.
Good luck with mixing it up it's helped me loads

I agree with Jen, a STS is fine. As she said your body holds on to what it can if you're not eating much, which is why, when we're well, we're sometimes surprised by how much, of the right stuff, we eat and then lose more! Your plan for the week sounds spot on. I lost just half a pound but happy with that this week xx
