NannyDoreen & Upndown's daily diaries

Hi - sts for me again - bit disappointed cos I was ill and didn't eat much some days but going to copy willbeslimjen's ideas this week - doing 2 success express days, upping superfree and basing meals on free still having syns but max of 70 over the week - hope Linda has a good loss and Doreen gets what she's after! Out for most of the day doing bits - see you later xx

What a pain. We know sometimes that when we don`t or can`t eat enough we do not lose weight, but it doesn`t help does it. If we are ill we would expect to lose. Unfortunately our bodies don`t comply  I know you are not crying but I hope your success express days help. You have given me food for thought and I will have a look at my SE booklet and see if I can`t join you for a couple of days.
I only lost 1/2 lb but I am ok with that.

Plan for today Friday 28th November.

Hexa milk hexb 2 bread

B: 2 toast, 2 eggs, 2 bacon, mushrooms. Coffee

S: 2 pears & coffee.

L: Ham, fresh toms & a little mashed potato.

D: Sainsbury burgers (2 syns) SW chips ie. spud, carrot & BNS. grilled toms.
Maybe an egg.

During the day frozen fruit & Yogurt.
All milk used in coffee

Ooh I'd swap places with you Doreen - I'd have been happy with a half this week!! Well done and I can see you've planned a good day for today too - think I'll post my plans earlier in the day too - great idea thx - think it will ensure I'm more focussed and hopefully prevent that odd biscuit, choc, piece of toast etc getting 'forgotten'!!

Yes let's do the Sexpress days together - I've found they really help when I've done them in the past.

Linda (the other one - in case you think I'm posting to me!) is having a better day and hubby and Millie are recoveringxx

I agree with Jen, a STS is fine. As she said your body holds on to what it can if you're not eating much, which is why, when we're well, we're sometimes surprised by how much, of the right stuff, we eat and then lose more! Your plan for the week sounds spot on. I lost just half a pound but happy with that this week xx

Well done on the half - so I think that's 3lbs in 2 weeks? Great! Esp with being ill and your 2 patients to nurse. As I said in my previous post hope the family are recovering xx

Ag a sts the same is good when you have been ill. Not eating a lot can actually make you out in. Your body holds on to its stores to keep you going.
Good luck with mixing it up it's helped me loads

Thx Jen - I love everyone's support on Minis -I've almost been here a year now and whilst I've undowned - most of the time I've been ok - thx to all the lovely ppl here - and when I've been in a rut - I pinch a few of the many good ideas here - so thx again for your suggestions. Hope Tom is feeling better?xx

Well done Doreen and loving your food plans! Sometimes the weeks seem to drag but this week gas gone fast for me.

Linda, twinny... I really really want you to have a good week this week as it's tough when you've hardly eaten this week from being ill and your body has held on to a drop but if you eat well this week surely you have to get a loss?!
Anything we can do to help? I wish I could come and cook all your meals for you for a week, not because I'm good at cooking lol but just so you were able to keep out of temptations way while still having SW meals. X

Yum! Wish I was eating at yours today, Doreen! It all sounds very tasty. :) Well done on the half a pound off too. xx

Hope Linda, you've not gone downhill healthwise again... these bugs seem to be of the boomerang variety, my daughter's cold seemed to go and now she feels rubbish again too. Or maybe you're just busy catching up with all the things you didn't do while you were poorly earlier this week. Catch up soon.

Doreen, hope things are going well still, your food sounded so good yesterday. :)

Of course, silly me forgot you had the family there, sorry! I'm glad you've had a lovely, if hectic, day with them but the bonus is you were able to stick to plan without too much effort, I like days like that. Hope today is similar :) xx

No need to apologise!! Yes we had a fun and full day! And you're dead right - I didn't think of my food cos I was busy with everyone else's! Also helped to make Poppy's Mary outfit for the school show - this is how my food went:

B: apple, banana, grapes, water melon
L: broccoli soup, HEB bread
T: My variation of Chocko's pork and cider casserole (thx again Chocko - it was lovely!) with carrots, onions, broccoli and celery, small baked potato, yogurt
Snacks: bits of fruit as b'fast
Fruit teas, NAS and water

Coeey all, I have had a very piggy day, that involved pizza, garlic bread and tiramisu!! Nice but is now sitting heavily in my tum lol, serves me right. The best part of the day though, was catching up with friends that we've not seen for a while and just relaxing over our food and then coffees.
Hope you're all well and being better behaved than me , I'll be back on it tomorrow x

Visited Linda's thread but the rest of the gang are v quiet - hope ur enjoying yourselves whatever ur up to!

We had a lovely time with the family but whew we both feel whacked now!

I'm watching I'm a Celebrity and you can see some of the gang are losing lots of weight - perhaps we could all go off to a forest for a fortnight to shift some flab ladies!?

Today's my first Sexpress day this week - loving the option of having 4 HEBs on EE! You'll see I've had lots to eat so not been hungry and happy with 2 Syns - long may it last!

B: fruit salad - mango, strawbs and grapes
L: bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes, baked beans, small amount of HP sauce 1 syn
T: starter - salad leaves, cherry toms, red pepper, balsamic vinegar
main - baked potato, HEA cheese, chopped onion, ham, baked beans, tiny squirt of HP sauce
dessert - Mullerlight, summer berries

Snack: carrot and cucumber sticks, Alpen light part HEB
part HEA ss milk in one tea

Also went for a walk in the woods with my friend and her dog - late afternoon so some body magic too! Xx

Hi all. Had a busy weekend. Had Flynn from Saturday 9am. Met Mum nr Motorway. Popped home for breakfast then we went to Paradise park for 4.1/2 hrs. Lots of walking. Felt it Sunday.
At 5pm I picked Faye up from dance - IN THE DARK. Won`t be doing that again as my cateract is getting worse and I can hardly see out of that eye at night.
Gave children dinner then we waited for Mum.
`
Sunday we went to a hairdressers cash and carry and bought Faye`s delayed birthday present. A training head with real hair. Quite expensive but well worth it. She loved it and sat plaiting it till Mum got back again,. We also went to Toys R Us to check out Xmas pressies then on to KFC for their lunch. I did pinch the ice cream they left and a chip of 2. Great weekend.

Anyway, here is the food.

Saturday

2 eggs and beans on 2 toast
S: banana & pear
Cup of tea at zoo while Flynn ate ice cream.
D: Chicken thighs and pasta. The children didn`t want all theirs. Also 1/2 a dinasaur.
Mmm so far ok. Then courtesy of mum 2 mince pies and cream and some pancake with syrup that Flynn left.

Sunday

2 eggs, 2 toast bacon & beans & mush
Ice cream from kids at KFC
Ate a chicken thigh that was left but was so knackered did not want to cook.
During the course of the evening I ate 6 slices if bread and 3 bananas.

Monday 1st Dec. New month new line.................

B: 2 eggs and beans h/e toast plus 1 more toast 2.1/2 syns
s: 2 bananas and a walk for 20mins
D: Chicken in red wine (from a packet) with mush & onions and boiled rice. 2 syns for 1/3rd pkt
Banana x 2 & Yogurt 2 syns
Baileys coffee with 25ml Baileys. 4 syns

10.1/2 syns total.

It is so lovely to have company Upndown but it is restful and peaceful when they have gone. When mine go I want them to stay longer. Can`t win!

Your success express looks good. My problem is I can`t eat all that salad etc to fill 2/3rds of the plate. I have had a good day today tho` of yesterday now it is 20 past midnight,. Slept for 2 hrs in the chair this evening so now am too awake, but going to bed with my Baileys coffee,

Night Night xxx

Hey that Pork & cider casserole sounds good, must look that one up.

Will be trying it soon! I think Kathy and u are really good for all the work u've put in on that thread - thank u!xx
