NannyDoreen & Upndown's daily diaries

Things changed a bit today - but still within the rules!

b: ff yogurt and defrosted cherries (altho I read here that cherries are no lomger speed duh!)
l: egg, bread - heb, pear
d: SW chicken curry with loads of veg, rice
snack: grapes

treat: Small bar of Lidl choc and chopped hazelnuts 10.5 syns
Fruit teas, water

Looks good to me. Not sure about cherries being speed. I eat bananas & pineapple. they were ok before so they will have to be ok now.
Must get some fruit teas today too. May be able to have a little cheese if I have less coffee.

Now the important news of the day.

It started like this. Packed the last bits in the car and my neighbour noticed I had a flat tyre. Pop to the tyre place and it had a screw in it. Luckily it could be repaired for £15. So that was not to bad.
Had a dentist appointment at 9.30 so consultant weighed me early so I could get to that.
Popped back to class for a coffee before my drive here.

Now the important bit ------- I lost another 1lb. hurrah. 7lb since christmas.

I was so pleased and our Jayne got me to stand up because I have got a top on and trousers (stretchy ones) a size smaller that have been sitting in my wardrobe. I did the model bit and got a big clap. :D hehe

Well after a bad start to the day - you had some great news - so pleased for you - you deserved your big clap - 7lbs off since Christmas is fab Doreen.

I had a giggle reading your post about the dentist appointment and your weigh in - when I first read it - I thought the dentist had weighed you!! That'd put me off going to the dentist forever lol!! Have a good time at Haverhill - hope you get some rest - perhaps you'll be less tired now ur 34 lbs lighter!! xx

Yes that's right about cherries etc being fine on the old plans and we lost weight on them - anyway I have some left and will be eating them soon! xx

Trouble is now we have them what would we do without them :)

Very true - esp the grandchildren!xx

I am a parent bank too Linda. I am nearly grey now and getting older no sign of them looking after me !!

Probably no hope for me either Doreen!

Not too daring, just a little bit longer. Maybe a bit longer next time.
Good idea about butcher in supermarket. Am popping out later because I forgot my milk and none in DIL`s fridge. Got enough for 2 coffees from neighbour.

Well the new you will be revealed as the pounds slip by - you did a model twirl today after all!! See what you mean about not looking after you with the milk - one of my son's wd be just the same! xx

Well done xx Must admit I first thought the dentist had weighed you too lol xx

I reread my post and you two are right Blades and Linda. It does sound like the dentist weighed me.

As you know I usually get weighed Friday so didn`t know too many of the guys and girls at the meeting, but after I got up up did my model bit 4 of them came up to me after and said I should come to the Thursday class because I was fun. What a compliment.

Yes know the 'Bank of Parents' so well having had our sons go thro uni! We tell them that we're expecting them to look after us when we're old and grey!!xx

Amy's already told me she'll make sure I go in a GOOD nursing home, when the time comes! Charming!! xx

Funny you should say that Kathy. Mine couldn`t afford to put me in any sort of nursing home, and I don`t have a house to sell. But I would not want to live with them either unless they had a granny flat attached. So it looks like a council home for me. if they have any left in 30yrs time. Oh did you not know, I am going to live until I am 100.

Thursday 12th February

hexa milk. hexb

B: at class banana and coffee
L: BNS/carrot soup large, banana
Snack? 2 seeded bread (9 syns) ham & pickle (1syn) (lovely)
D: Lasagne. (4 syns)

Total 14 syns. I binged, 20 syns for biscuits.

Lasagne, the usual mix of speed, bns, onion, mush, passata herbs and about 280g mince. Lasagne sheets.
Tin tesco macaroni cheese (4.1/2 syns) & 2 tbls of fromage frais, for the sauce and 15g cheddar cheese. (3syns)
Total syns for lasagne was (7.1/2 syns)
I had half - which was far too much so say ( 4 syns) with toms, red pepper & lettuce.

The seeded bread was left here by DIL and could not resist it. Put the rest in the freezer.

I am absolutely bloated. Naughty naughty. Anyway 2 portions left one for freezer (just enough room) and one will keep in fridge till Saturday
The sauce was pretty good but I don`t think there was enough so I shall just put on the top in future - maybe.

A great day Doreen - u deserve a treat on WI and if it'd been choc - the syns could've been a lot higher!!

do u think if I made the lasagne with 2 tins of macaroni - I'd get 4 portions - and if I used hea for cheese that'd be a total of 9 syns so 4.25 syns per portion?

Also do u blitz the tinned macaroni? If so, does it go smooth? I'm not keen on lumpy things!!

The size of the dish I used was 9.1/2 inches square and 2.1/2 inches deep.

Really with a salad you could use this for 4 people. Half of it was really very filling. The girl Carla who put on SW facebook says she divides into 4. It really depends how big the eaters are. I would say I would really like a bit more than a 1/4 but with salad I would hope I could make it enoughl
Having said that she uses 500g of mince with all the additions. She does put it in between too but puts a lot of cheese on top which I didn`t. Don`t know what size her container was. Blah blah.

Macoroni cheese - I blitzed it long enough not to have any lumps. The added the fromage frais.

Asda Smart price is 3 syns for 450g tin.
Tesco Everyday value is 4.1/2
Heinz is 6syns. Maybe more cheesy.

I have put a message on facebook to ask what size she does. Will let you know when she answers.

Thanks so much Doreen - I suppose I could have a baked potato and salad with it - or even some garlic bread (dangerous for me tho' don't know where to stop!!) Really fancy that lasagne!xx

Well it's confession time for me - we went to the pub tonight for evening meal - all my plans for being on plan went down the pan - how silly to do that on the night b4 WI!!?? The rest of the day was fine (and most of the week altho' I suffer from food amnesia at times ):

Brunch: heb bread, 2 rashers lean bacon, egg, ketchup 1 syn, orange
D: child's portion of battered fish!!! chips!!! mushy peas, then an adult portion of a waffle and toffee sauce - lovely but zillions of syns!!
I did have a diet coke tho' :ashamed0005: :eating:

Well will have to see what the scales say to me in the morning - "&%*"£+ idiot" I suppose!!

Well I will have a good day 2moro - plan to make a pan of soup - then Sat and Sun shd be ok - but off to London for 4 nights on Monday - not sure how I'll be there?? Perhaps they'd lock me up in the Tower at meal times? We don't usually go away this often but I bought this trip for hubby's Christmas present.

I'd already decided to re-join SW a week on Tuesday - need to do something to get me back on track!! And I'm hoping to get to goal and have someone keeping an eye on me and I won't have to pay either - but that seems a long way off right now!
It's like saints and sinners here :angeldevil: of course Doreen is the saint and I'm the sinner!!

I'll let you know the damage in the morning!!
