Another great honking day Doreen - u shd have a good loss this week!
Sorry u've been so tired - hope u wake refreshed - enjoy ur day with the family and the planting - I always think an hour's work in the garden brings hours and hours of pleasure looking at the result of our labours!!
I've had a busy day - not sure what I've achieved tho ha ha!! Here's how the food went on my first day of Kay's challenge:
Brunch: ham & egg salad, fresh apricots and banana (half syn half v light mayo mixed with white vinegar)
Tea: crispy beef 2 syns for half tbsp. cornflour , mushrooms, HEB - oil, onions, pepper, lettuce & cress
Strawb sundae (from SW mag) strawbs, fat free yog, meringue 2.5 syns, caramel shape dessert 5 syns
TOTAL SYNS 10 syns
Evening ladies but this is a quickie. Not had a very good day today and so so tired, will be off to bed shortly. Day Two of salad challenge completed ok though. Will be back to normal tomorrow I hope. Night x
Hi Team,
Food looking so good Nanny well done.
Im not doing Kays salad challenge either but it is interesting to watch. Unfortunately I am not in the right frame of mind to prepare and plan for a challenge. So wishing Cloudy and upndown the best of luck with it all, but Im quite happy plodding along, although I want a weight loss I also want to enjoy my summer months.
Anyway it seems the team are all on track at the moment for a loss of some sort, and upndown already has a great loss today!
I will pop in later to do my honk and see what you have all been upndown to. lol
10syns Upndown very good. I had a look at Kay`s challenge but didn`t think it was for me. Will have a look and see how you all are getting on. I think bubble is doing it too.
I have watered the plants but not planted them. MUST DO TOMORROW. Hair cut at 9am first. I had a good most of the day with my niece. We did a bit of shopping and stopped a couple of times for coffee and chat. Got home at 2pm, had lunch and fell asleep on the sofe, glad to say only for an hour.
What was the cornflour for on your food.
My food for today Tuesday 1st July.
Hexs 2 bread and milk
B: 2 eggs, 2 bacon & mushrooms 2 toast.
L: 3 hard boiled eggs, large tomato, low fat salad cream (1)
2 bananas & yogurt with a white option (2) in it. Lovely.
D: Chicken 1/4 - so tender, SW chips and carrot battons done with them.
Followed by 2 bananas with yogurt and coconut option (2) in yogurt. Even better
5 syns.
Just coffee from now except maybe half a galia melon in the fridge that needs finishing.
I think part of my tiredness is that I have dry eyes. Optician has sent fax to Doctor to give me a prescription for some cream to put in my eyes. Can pick it up tomorrow. Hopefully that will help.
Have been watching the tennis. I am a Nadal fan - amongst others, and he losing 2 sets to one. Planty of time for him to win though.
Hi All - just noticed it's Weds now!! Hope everyone's well and had a good day - will catch up on the diary now.
Been a busy day - but was on plan - so glad and grateful to Kay for the doing the Salad Challenge - just what I needed I think!
I weighed in at WW today and lost 4lbs according to their scales but only 1.5lbs on mine so reluctantly using my scales to update my stats cos I've been weighing on mine for most of the time since I joined - anyway the scales are just a number and I'm feeling better and the waistbands are getting loser!! Also that's the first loss I've had for weeks - a relief to be back on track.
Here's my day:
Brunch: SW frittata with eggs, bacon, cheese HEA and onion with salad, half tsp v light mayo with vinegar and my version of the SW Wimbledon Sundae from last month's SW mag - strawbs, strawb and vanilla fat free yog, crushed meringue 2.5 syns and strawb sugar free jelly Mmmm.... can recommend!
Tea: salmon salad and another sundae this time with Shape caramel dessert (5 syns for pot but I shared it) vanilla yog, meringue & strawbs - flipping lovely.
Might try my version with banana, caramel dessert, vanilla or banana yog & meringue and a few HEB nuts
There's also another SW recipe with lime & lemon jelly, and exotic fruits - with low fat custard too I think ooh - making me fancy going downstairs to make one!! Also a nice recipe for alcoholic ice lollies!! Let me know if u want me to post the recipes.
Snack: apricots and banana - bit boring after the sundaes.
Syns all added up to 7 I think!! Bit tired now!!
Funny thing happened today - I picked the children up from school and we went to Conwy a local pretty fishing town which is listed as a World Heritage site - I bought ice creams for the children and a sorbet in a cone for me (shdn't be eating that on the Salad Challenge - but as soon as we went out of the shop a seagull swooped down and knocked it out of my hand - was it Kay in disguise I wonder? ....and no I didn't buy another one - whew!!
To be honest I don`t know how to get a photo on here. Not very technical.
So tired amd going to honk for today and go to bed. Speak to all tomorrow.
Hi Doreen! Just browsing and came across your brilliant food diary for the first time. So inspirational - thanks. Your comment about not being very technical made me laugh though! If YOU'RE not very technical, what does that make ME then!!!!!!!!!!
Kathy x
For anyone who doesn't know, NannyDoreen does the numbered index for me, on a thread I do, cos I wouldn't know where to start!
\What a great story and well done for not buying another ice cream. Your food is sounding absolutely delicious. I haven`t made a frittata for a long time, good idea for brunch. Well done on your weight loss too. Fantastic.
I weighed myself this morning and my scales say I have put on 2lbs. goodness knows how. Not weighing until Friday so will keep an eye.
I agree about us all doing our own thing.
I get my prescripton after 3 today. Am still feeling very tired, Gonna try for a really early night tonight. I have to get up in the morning and would prefer not to wake to an alarm.
Planted roses etc today, a bit at a time. I think the best thing I can do now is to WALK down to the garden centre/cafe down the road for a cup of tea.. Maybe it will help me to feel more awake.
You keep on with your good food Upndown.
Hope Cloudy6 is feeling ok today and got over her tiredness. Food later
Hi Chocko (love ur sign in name!) nice to see u here - as u say it's a lovely thread - we have lots of fun on here - Doreen keeps us under control tho'!!

I feel ok about the scales Upndown. Have been feeling too tired to worry anyway. Felt a lot better late pm.
Have given the garden a good water, it has had lots more than me.
You know I haven`t had a green day for quite a time, will have to give it a try again. I could always hAve veggie pasta bake for dinner, breakfast or lunch could be fried spuds, eggs mush and black pudding, lunch jacket and something. Mmmm sounds quite nice. Wonder what your dinner will be.
I will need to call dinner tea when Andy Julie and the kids come home, they don`t have dinner...
My food for today --then bed.
Hexs milk and bread
B: 2 eggs mush and 2 toast.
L: 1 boiled egg, 3 thin ham slices and a tomato.

Frozen berries & yogurt. Also some yogurt with choc option in it (2). Have been fancying choc all day
SYNS 5 AND A HONK.
NIGHT
cloudy6's get up and go got up and left yesterday and today has been a bit hammered too BUT I'll be bouncing back, watch this space
Hope your prescription helps with the dry eyes Nanny Doreen, sounds horrid.
upndown - sorry to say I giggled out loud (thanks for cheering me up) at the seagull situation. One pinched a whole sandwich out of my hand on holiday in Dorset a couple of years ago, so I know what it's like... they are SO quick! To add insult to injury, it took it up on a lampost a few feet away and noisily devoured it!
Anyway, see you all tomorrow, sleep tight x
