Step 1 Sole Source New team HARDCORE HOTTIES!!!

Don't venture into the main forum tonight folks. I'm trying to resist the urge to reply to something. But hey, no one says I have to, right? It's just I can't bear it when awful advice is being given...

Why oh why do people not realise that opportunities to eat out will still be there when they've finished with Cambridge? The "you only live once" mentality is what led many of us to being overweight in the first place!

Totally agree, there's two ways to go with this diet, cold turkey, cut out everything but the diet for a time, OR give in to every night out, every meal, everything and be on this journey forever because the second option is alway 1 step forward and 2 steps back. I don't care how many people judge me for that statement but I can say it is an absolute fact, those that dabble along the way rarely make it to goal.

I know. People want to hear that it's ok to take a night off the diet, persuade themselves that it is, then end up stunned when the scales say they've put on 4 pounds overnight, decide the diet isn't working for them and make it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I know cos I've done it. :(

But I'll try not to react cos there are already people feeling peeved because threads have been moved from the 100% forum for what to them seem like petty reasons.

Same here! Losing a 1lb or 2 a week and wondering why when I'm sticking to it??? When really I was having hot chocolate, copious cups of milky tea and the odd biscuit, chocolate and cake here and there. I just can't do that anymore!

There was a thread on FB where a lady (similar minded to us) got into a right pickle with another lady who was really selling herself short, aiming for 1lb a week loss. This lady was basically saying aim higher, don't focus on small numbers try for big and she got shouted at by everyone but I actually thought she was right. If you aim low, low is where you stay.

People don't seem to grasp the concept of the 100% forum. It's not to find out what cheats you can try, it's to help motivate yourself and others to stay 100%. I know all of this carry on is why Shanny doesn't come on here anymore, we were talking about it last night. I tend to stick with our little thread and rarely read others demotivating each other.

Very wise. So long as not too many people come along here and tell us we're being judgemental and unsupportive.

If I'm honest, I was actually quite upset by those posts the other night.

I was too, that's why I couldn't leave it alone. I read them back again earlier and really none of her points were valid, I think she just came on here spoiling for a fight, and I don't think she expected the fight she got!! If there's people like that out there "helping" what chance do people have of getting it right first time?

Agree with the above. Am just sat here forcing down a double porridge because it is 8pm and I have only had one shake so far today! So on a double porridge and a litre of water to help wash it down :) Today is the first day in a while I have felt no hunger - physical or psychological! About bloody time nearly 4 weeks in!!!!!

Busy busy tonight - trying to get flat tidy prior to inspection on Monday - arggghhh. I am away all weekend, which is a challenge I am very much looking forward to! I am just off to stay with friends in North London for the weekend - haven't seen them in ages! These friends are very supportive - they understand the diet and wouldn't think to be anything other than supportive! They are both also on diets which helps! They have gone down the Atkins route and Richard has lost 4st in 5 months :) Clair is struggling a bit more as she is trying to do Atkins as a veggie!

I don't know how everyone else is fairing friends/family wise. All I can say is I have been very very lucky, and not one person has criticised the diet, they have all supported me and been very complimentary! It helps that my sister worked as a Cambridge Consultant for a while, plus the family have all seen the results she and I had before. Even my new work colleagues have been very supportive :)

Sorry waffling a bit tonight - might be the 4 coffees I have had this afternoon plus the burst of energy from 2 porridges hehe.

If you PM me your details it would be nice to add you on facebook (no pressure - won't be offended if you don't want to ;) ) - I would say add me, but my profile is rather hidden :)

Clear your messages CAzza, just tried to pm you and it said you've exceeded you mail allowance.

Weird! ok...

Done!

OMG I am sooooo full! And that, kids, is why you don't try and have a double portion all in one go!

Sal you look so different in your before and after piccies - like us all really with quite a bit to lose - we become unrecognisable at goal! You will get there chick this time you are so determined!

Lily I know exactly what you mean about the poster the other night - I thought how dare you just come onto our thread and criticise us when all the way through all it is is trying to keep each other positive and some people venting about others cheating. its like someone said earlier you either do SS 100% or do a different step, but of you are doing SS then its NO FOOD - or like someone elses phrase if you are an alcoholic you dont go in the pub and have just the one and expect to stay dry!

Thats why like Sal I just stick to this thread and no-one elses cos I know Im 'safe' here.

Now a query for all you seasoned 'pros' of CD. I know people mention about tea and herbal teas, I just wanted to double check Im okay with the following teas or not as I know the rules have changed and I dont want to have them if they knock me out of fat burning. 3 weeks of SS 100% and I dont want it scuppered just for a cuppa.

I bought these before I was doing CD as they sounded nice but havent opened them yet and then started cd, They are all Twinings............

Raspberry and Strawberry,
Camomile, honey and vanilla,
Cherry and Cinnamon,
Orange, Mango and Cinammon.

I reckon they will be too dodgy to drink what does anyone else think ?

Keep up the good work everyone we are getting there, its great how quickly time is going - Ive got about 13 weeks till Barcelona (3st off) and 20 weeks till my hols (2 stone off) then Im going up the steps to get the last stone off - Ithink if all goes to plan

Not sure about the camomile, honey and vanilla but the rest should be fine according to the new Cambridge rules (as per the book printed June 2012). A big clue as to whether they're ok is in the calorie count. Anything that's less than 4 cals per cup (200ml) shouldn't do any harm.

Agree about how it's great that time seems to be going really quickly!

Ta so much for that, Ive just looked and they are 4 cals per cup so I think I should be ok! Fingers crossed ..... with the weather being so cold I NEED hot drinks to keep me going and Im getting sick of hot water with the water flavourings and black tea!

New rules about tea?? This could be my saviour here, what are the new rules? I've got blueberry tea and rose tea but have been avoiding them because they're not tea from the leaf. My book is old.

AND why in all this time have I not thought to have the flavourings hot???

Yes. :) All herbal teas - fruit, flower and leaf are now allowed so long as there's no added sugar (quick check of the ingredients/calories usually reassures on that front). Good, huh? :D

Yay yay yay, cup of tea for me again tomorrow morning!!!

I have June 2012 book and can't see anything about teas in it at all?

Not sure what page it's on - but I'm sure it's right. I keep an eye on the official CWP forum and the Consultants who post there (including KD :)) say that the rules have definitely changed. If I remember, I'll ask my CWPC on Saturday ( snow permitting) if I can have a flick through to see it in black and white for myself!

Aha. KD says it's page 35. :)
