Sounds like a great night at your friend's was had! I find it really difficulty when other people are cooking for me as I just can't bring myself to tell people I am on a diet (only OH and mother actually know, a few colleagues and one friend know that I have been losing weight for a couple of years but it appears to have passed everybody else by) or ask for things to be cooked differently or anything like that so I just eat what I am given. Generally people always seem to come round to ours for dinner though, thinking about it. Apparently I must be scary to look for!
I think loosening the reigns every now and then, especially when you are so close to target, is a good plan. Feeling able to socialise and be "normal" is really important for the long term of losing weight, I think. I am contemplating this in relation to the BBQ I am going to later. I keep wondering about giving myself the afternoon off but not sure what I would really do that differently - I have some lean steak to take for petit pain steak sandwiches and a couple of wild garlic quorn sausages. I will be stuffed after that so doubt I would want anything else to eat. I could have something to drink but I am not sure I *really* want to. I guess maybe I will just see how I feel when I get there. There are of course those sticky toffee salted caramel cupcakes... OH keeps telling me how nice they are...
