Woo, 2 stone Jane, well done!! :) Nice to see you back on here, I was missing your visits to my diary as I don't get many visitors who'll take an interest in my boring rants ;-) Keep it going, soon be 2.5 stone. x

Thank you Val, Louise and Emmylou xxx
Sorry that I havn't visited recently. I have had a rough few weeks and didn't realise that the medication I am taking for depression was causing the various symptoms. I started taking it about 2 months ago but didn't appear to have a bad reaction until about 10 days ago. I started to feel generally unwell and found it extremly hard to focus on anything so much so that I was on the verge of taking sick leave. When I discovered that I had put on 5 lbs over a period of 9 days it was the final straw as I had been on plan and had started doing more exercise!!. Anyway in some respects I should be grateful for the weight gain as it drove to to find out more about the anti-depressants. It appears that my symptoms, including the weight gain are a side affect of the medication. I am going to speak to my GP in the morning and hope that he will prescribe me something else, either that or I will stop taking them gradualy. I have already reduced the dose by half and I notice that I have lost a lb judging by the scales today, so I hope that it will continue to drop.

On a brighter note, my husband is better than he was. He swims 5 times a week and he starts specialist counselling on Wednesday. He is not out the woods yet but I am very encouraged. I also go swimming with him once or twice a week.

We have the opportunity to go on holiday in September but havn't found the right holiday yet. We are so looking forward to it.

Mum is a bit better too and Steve and I come home on saturday evening and spend the rest of the weekend at home, which is lovey.

I hope to catch up with you all soon.xxx
