We have just returned from holiday and the break has really benefited us. I feel ready now to focus once again on the SW plan. My head was all over the place before we went on holiday. I have stopped taking the anti-depressants and although I had only been on them for 2 months I had some nasty symptoms when I reduced the dose and finaly came off them. I never managed to lose the 5lb that I put on and I have gained another 6lb on top of that!(some of it holiday gain) Anyway I am now raring to get back on plan.

We are having a rescue dog on trial for a week from Monday so I am hoping that will mean lots of extra walks. We need to see how the dog will react at mums as well. She loves dogs but we obviously need to train the dog not to jump up at mum when she is walking with her frame. We met the dog yesterday for the first time and he seems to learn very quickly. He is an 8mnth old jack russel cross who is full of fun.

I plan to catch up with everyone as soon as possible. I have missed you all. x

Welcome back. As you say, if you are just back from hols, some of that will come off very quickly. Most important thing is that you had a good holiday. If you can manage to stick to plan on hols, great, but if you're like most of us and just can't do it, then enjoy it, don't feel guilty and come back full of renewed passion :)

Fingers crossed the dog trial goes ok.

Hi, I am new on Minimini.
But I am 8 weeks with SW. I like it and lost 9lb and I have a 4month baby.
I eat a huge breakfast avery day , like full english. and im eat a lot. maybe you eat not enought? what is your consultant told you?

I wasn't as focused at the weekend as I would have liked but I am getting there. I so want to have a 100% day today. Today is my first day back at work since the holiday so I hope that having more structure to the day will help.
The dog arrived today and is apparently into everything. It seems that he has already chewed my slippers and his new toy. He is only about 6months old so he is still a puppy.
Thanks for popping in Minamu and congratulations on your weight loss.I don't attend a SW class but the support I have received from other Minimins members has been invaluable. Good luck with your SW journey. x

I had my first 100% day yesterday for a long time so feel really positive today:)

I am sorry to say that things arn't going well with the dog trial. The dog is really sweet but uncontrollable. We have to consider mum as well and we quite honestly wouldn't be able to trust the dog with her as he is too boistrous. We feel really sad about it as he is such a sweetie in other ways. I wish that the rescue centre had been more up front with us because we were very honest about our situation so they know about mum.

Anyway I am aiming at another 100% day and hope that the scales will be kind to me tomorrow.
 
Sorry to hear about the dog but I'm really pleased to hear that you had a 100% day. Just one day at a time. Hope tomorrow is another good day.

Thanks Gail x. I lost 3.5lbs so I am very pleased considering it is less than a week since I went back on plan.:D

Unfortunatly we have decided to give the dog back to the kennels. We feel very sad about it but after speaking to his last foster 'mum' I feel that we are doing the right thing. She agrees that he has serious problems. I just wish that we had been told about it before we agreed to take him on.
 
well done on ur 3.5lb loss jane thats brilliant, sorry about the dog they should have told you he was very boisterous hopefully he will be rehomed it needs someone with time, patience and no children (or mums lol) they can be such hard work. good luck to staying on plan xx

I am still on plan but we are going to have a pub meal tonight so am a bit worried about menu, not sure if they will have anything that is SW friendly. Anyway I am sure that it will do us good to get out as we are feeling a bit sad as the dog was collected today:sigh:.

We didn't eat out as planned yesterday but I did drink too many syns!!

Back to mums this evening for the weekend so need to stay focused as I have a tendency to go off the rails when I am there.

Thanks Val. I must admit that I found the weekend very stressful. Needless to say I overdid it on the syns and the scales upset me this morning as well. I intend to be 100% today and tomorrow with the hope that I might be able to make a difference. Hey ho! x
 
I can sympathise with you EmmyLou,its not always easy to get back on track after a holiday. I put on 0.5lb this week so I can't actually say that I have been on track! I blew it at the weekend. Its just getting focused again, I know that we can do it EmmyLou. You have also had a lot to deal with recently so don't be too hard on yourself.

So pleased that you have got to target Val:D. x
 
I had a 'cereal moment' last night. I am ashamed to admit that I ate 4 weetabix after my dinner. I couldn't find anything to munch on so resorted to that. After counting 2 weetabix as a healthy extra and synning the other 2 I was just about within my syn limit but I know that for those few moments I was out of control. Probably good that I didn't have anything worse in the house!
I need to get focused and I also need to plan for the weekend.
