We can do it Lauren!! :D We are going to be "the skinny ones"!

Oh my...that is just such a scary sentence you've said! 6 months ago I'd have just laughed and said 'yeah I wish'. Oh how times have changed huh?! =)

Can't believe you did the coach to 5k!!
How was it?!

Absolutely! I even wore head-to-toe lycra to the gym today, that's a sign of how far I've come already! :D

Well done honey!

Thank you Jodie!! x

I can't wait to get into the size 12 version - I'll feel even more like a princess then!! :D

Ah thanks Alison - the ongoing exercise thing is still relatively new to me but I'm loving it and how it makes me feel! I used to be awful in the mornings but now a gym session perks me right up and I'm thinking and speaking coherently from 9am, previously unheard of haha!! I was very much the same as you for years - a few weeks of hell for leather and loving it and then wouldn't return again for 3 months - but this time it just felt different for some reason - if I could put my finger on why and bottle it for all you lovely ladies I totally would xx

Ahh. you flicked that switch ;) xx

Today has been a very busy day, I feel like a trucker after spending about 7 hours in my car up and down the M6 and M1!!! Went down to see the parents in Milton Keynes for the afternoon & evening, and ended up driving mum around to the shops etc in the time I was there... my poor bum!!

Had yet another yay moment today though - tried on all the jeans in my collection to see what now fits, and I'm back in my 32" waist ones which I haven't worn since before I moved to Dublin in summer 2011! :D (So naturally I put them on and wore them all day!!) The gorgeous size 10s now go over my legs but absolutely refuse to go over my bum haha, so a bit of a way to go before I'm back in them, but it's all progress! Will try the pair of size 12s that I bought especially to slim into tomorrow morning and see how they're coming along, there was still about a 3 inch gap at the waist last time I tried, so I don't think they'll be doing up comfortably just yet, but hopefully a bit closer!

Mum and dad were surprised by how much weight has come off since I last saw them at Easter, which was lovely! Although I did get the usual comments of "don't go losing any more, you're skinny enough now!", but I nicely batted them away by explaining that I still want to get to a healthy BMI and have a little way to go before I reach that. Mum's also trying to eat healthily but struggling a bit, so I hope I was able to spur her on :) And bless her, for the first time ever she took me seriously in terms of healthy eating, and didn't buy any puddings/biscuits/cakes/crisps, and cooked me a lovely healthy tea, and never once came out with her favourite phrase of "Oh just treat yourself this one"... she's learning!! :)

So summary for today...

Breakfast: SW Grill-Up - Bacon Medallions, Fry Light Eggs, Smash Potato Cakes with Chives, Roasted Vine Tomatoes (S)
Lunch: Out for lunch with mum so chose a Tomato (S), Veg & Butterbean Soup (checked no cream in it with the waitress) with a chunk of bread (HEB) and a portion of butter (3.5 Syns), Tea (1 Syn for milk as it was a whole pot)
Dinner: Steamed Salmon, New Potatoes, Peas, Sweetcorn & Carrots (S) (bless my mum) with a portion of Philly Light on my potatoes (HEA)
Snack: Peach (S)

Summary: 1 x HEA, 1 x HEB, 4.5 Syns, 3 Speed Foods, No Exercise (got home later than planned :( )

What a lovely, positive post to read!

Well done Nicola, very impressed :)

Aw thanks Jodie! I'm even happier this morning as the scales are saying 11st 7.25lbs!! :D

I did end up going to bed after that in a bit of a grump though... was sat with my housemate (who did SW last year and got to target in about 3 months) talking about my target of 9st 7lbs and she wouldn't stop going on about how scrawny I'm going to look at that size as it'll only be a couple of lbs heavier than her and she's only 5 foot 1, whereas I'm 4 inches taller (she looks lovely and healthy at her target). I tried to explain that I've never seen 9st 7lbs in my life so for me this is more about finally finishing something and reaching a target that's in the middle of the healthy BMI range than about trying to be a certain skinniness, but that I would be incredibly happy if I was a size 8-10 on the bottom (I'll never be that on top as I'm rather top heavy), and she outright told me that 8-10 was too small for my height, even though that's exactly what she is!! I think if I was aiming for 8st and a size 6 I might understand her concerns, but my target feels like a fairly reasonable weight for someone of my height to get to (and if I do feel too scrawny just think of the fun I can have putting half a stone back on!!), so I was a bit put out that she was being about so negative about it. She also told me to throw away my old size 10 jeans and to stop trying to get into them as size 10s were "smaller back then" (they're about 10 years old) so it's unrealistic to aim for that! I always like to assume positive intent with these things, but it felt a little like sabotage to me... :(

She's gone on her holidays this morning so I'm putting the comments behind me.... today is a new fresh day, the sun is shining, I'm awake ridiculously early considering I'm on a day off, so I'm going to head down to the gym and make up for yesterday's missed exercise, and continue on my lovely slimming journey! :D

Happy Friday everyone! x

PS. Jodie, what were you doing up in the middle of the night?! x

Jelous much! Take no notice of her, dont tell her nothing else about your weight loss or anything, its for you and you only, no one else! Ive had someone badger on at me a few times for doing skimming world 'dieting' and i don't need to do it allI have to do is join the gym and eat whatever i want, and mocks bout how i eat one lettuce leaf for dinner when they don't even understand what slimming wold is even about, ummm no, just have to ignore ignorant people lol x

The weird thing is, she's done SW so she knows what it's all about, and literally until I mentioned my target weight she was 100% supportive the whole way! I remember reading a thread on here about how the dynamics of relationships can change as one person stops being "the bigger one", so I'm wondering if this is what's going on here... she's a really good friend and we're more like sisters really, but we do rub eachother up the wrong way from time to time! ;)

Jodie - I thought I was a night owl but you take it to a whole new extreme haha!

Have been on the hunt for lean lamb mince today as it said you could get it in Waitrose in this month's SW magazine, but no joy :( Tried Morrisons too, and neither my Tescos or Sainsbury's stock it :( The doner kebab just isn't as nice with beef!

Horrible day here and trees are falling all over the place, so am going to spend this afternoon indoors, planning my menu for the rest of the week (got a pork shoulder so can do the Pulled Pork from the magazine on Sunday... can't wait!), and cuddling up with the kitty :) x

:) aw I'm cuddled with my kitty too he keeps kissing me (rubbing his face on mine lol) weathers awful and raining, i love sushi! Been wanting to make some of my own for so long and watched loads of youtube how to's, but never went and brought the stuff, i get the huge pack from asda and its gorgeous i love it

Aw cute! I love it when Sophia does that in the morning, it's a much nicer wakeup than when she decides to chomp on my elbow/hand (depending on which is poking out from under the duvet!) :D

Sushi's so easy to make, you'll have to buy the stuff and spend an afternoon experimenting, it's great fun! :) I might get myself on a sushi making course at some point as I'm self taught and therefore make a huge mess whenever I do it! Here's a pic of my lunch:
