Nicola's Cuba Countdown

Well good morning lovely ladies, the sun is shining here so time to get out and about and on with my errands while it lasts! Yesterday's horrible sicky feeling seems to have passed, so must have been some kind of 24 hour bug or something I ate that just didn't agree with me.

I'm very happy with the scales this morning which are currently showing 11st 3.75lbs, so a 1.75lb loss since Weds weigh-in! :D I haven't been this light since I broke up with my ex 3 years ago and didn't eat for a week haha! I really hope that sticks for official weigh-in... I'm seeing a bit of a pattern that my weight drops each Saturday (I've been keeping a log offline), so that must be when my body does a tot up of calories in vs calories out for the week and decides what my new weight should be! Maybe I will get into the 10s for Ibiza after all, 4 more weigh-ins before I go! :D

Another low syn day for me today - I've saved up 12.5 from yesterday and want a similar amount saved up from today so I can blow the lot tomorrow :D Daddy's coming up for Father's Day (he's got a new car so wanted to give it a long drive out, hence him coming to me rather than the usual other way around), and I've got a big leg of roast lamb in for our dinner. I'm going to enjoy a few yorkshire puddings with that (6 Syns) as well as gravy (4 Syns), plus I've bought an apple crumble and custard for our pudding, and I want a decent sized portion of that (not sure how many syns, need to work out tonight in advance what it'll be if I have 1/3 of the pack plus a generous dollop of custard!)... I'm hoping this approach will help me stay on track for the week without me feeling deprived :)

Breakfast: Yogurt, Banana
Lunch: Pasta n Sauce (made with water)
Dinner: SW Chips, Quorn Burgers (1 syn for 2), Salad and Dips (Garlic "Mayo" Sauce & Chilli Sauce (0.5)), followed by fruit salad (pineapple, mango, strawberries)
Exercise: 30 Day Shred & Housework!

Checking out the syns for tomorrow...

1/4 of the Apple Crumble I've bought = 18 Syns (was going to have 1/3 but that's just greedy really when it's already that many syns!!)
142g of the 1kg Custard Carton I've bought = 7.5 Syns (doesn't sound like all that much custard, will have to weigh and measure carefully! or alternatively I have squirty cream instead at just 5 syns for the entire can, so would only need to allow 1 or 2 syns)
2 Yorkshire Puddings = 4 Syns (2 Syns each)
Gravy = 4 Syns (going to have a good slosh of it!)

So that's 33.5 Syns I need saved for tomorrow so I can have all that lot, which means I don't have to save quite as many as I thought I needed to from today to stay within my syns - yay! :D
 
Watching America's Biggest Loser for some inspiration at the moment... how amazing are those finalists running a marathon?! They really deserve every lb they lose! :D

Am loving my next door neighbour today, for 3 reasons...

1) She gave me some sweet peas to plant in my flower beds (job for tomorrow!)
2) She gave Sophia the most amazing little outdoor house for the garden (she had it from a cat she had years ago, and it hadn't been used since - it's so cute!)
3) She asked if I'd lost weight recently and said I was looking great! :D

Today's food and exercise summary...

Breakfast: Yogurt, Banana
Lunch: Pasta n Sauce (made with water)
Exercise: About 4 hours of scrubbing, hoovering, climbing, and everything else that was needed to get the house sparkling!
Exercise: 30 Day Shred Level 1
Dinner: SW Chips, Quorn Burgers (1) & Salad with 1tbsp Ketchup (1), Apple
Snacks: 2 x Rocky Road Hifis (HEB)

Summary: 0 x HEA, 1 x HEB, 2 Syns, 30 Day Shred


Let's hope it's been enough to offset tomorrow's yummy food! :D

I watch Biggest Loser to make myself jealous by their massive losses and its awesome how inspiring it is! Even just one episode on a bad day gives a bit of focus for me :p

I am quite lucky, have got nice neighbours on the other side too - they have the occasional wild party but I can let them off with that! :D The only thing is that the really lovely neighbour from above can talk for England.... if you get caught on the way to work it's game over!! haha! x

Evening all, hope you've all had great Father's Days! :D

Well I am exceedingly proud of myself as I stuck to my plan 100%, and therefore am still within syns for the week so far with 53 out of 60 allowable syns consumed since Thurs! :D Admittedly my mum did think I was a bit weird when I was weighing my custard, but it was sooooo worth it! And I got to do my favourite thing, cooking, pretty much all day long, and there were no major family arguments (a miracle haha!), so all in all a very nice way to spend a Sunday :)

Exercise: 30 Day Shred Level 1 (was a killer after having only done it last night - my muscles were obviously still a bit sore without a rest day in between!)
Breakfast: Banana, Yogurt
Lunch: WW Petit Pain (HEB) with 40g Reduced Fat Cheddar (HEA) and tomatoes - I resisted proper white petit pain rolls that I baked for mum and dad, as well as egg mayo, crisps and sweet chilli nuts!
Dinner: Roast Lamb with Roast Potatoes, Parsnips, Carrots, Broccoli, 2 x Yorkshire Puddings (4), Gravy (4), and my own homemade mint sauce which turned out soooo well! :D
Dessert: Apple Crumble (18), Custard (7.5)

Summary: 1 x HEA, 1 x HEB, 33.5 Syns, 30 mins Exercise


Sent mum and dad packing with all the leftovers apart from some of the lamb and mint sauce, so no temptation left over for tomorrow either - phew! :D

Hope those scales are still showing 11st 3.75lbs tomorrow morning after that blowout!! xx

Despite it being Monday, I am practically skipping around the house this morning after getting on the scales - 11st 2.5lbs!!! :D There was me expecting to be a bit more than yesterday after all the lovely goodies, and I actually dropped another 1.25lbs! :D Pleeeeeeease let this stick for official weigh-in, I'm so close to my next mini target!!

Today was going to be a green day, but 1) I forgot to make the falafel I was supposed to be having for my lunch last night, and 2) I have so much roast lamb left over despite sending my parents off with a doggy bag that I'm going to have to eat that for tonight's tea instead of the planned pasta! So here's the plan...

Breakfast: Yogurt, Banana
Lunch: 2 x Tesco Sushi Snack Packs (3), Pack of Ham, Salad, Raspberries & Nectarine
Snacks: Hifi (HEB), Apple
Exercise: Zumba
Dinner: Roast lamb, new potatoes, mint sauce, broccoli, peas + gravy (may treat myself to another yorkshire pud today if I have enough syns left too)

Haha I must have done something to please mine! :D

Well after my fab start to the day, the rest of today's been a shocker, but thankfully not too bad foodwise... although it definitely had the potential to!! Seemed to spend my day running from pointless meeting to pointless meeting, meaning that I didn't get to crack on with the work I needed to until later this afternoon, and then the team who were meant to have something with me by then didn't, and I was waiting until 8pm for it!! :eek: I needed to review it before a meeting I have at 9am tomorrow morning, so couldn't just leave it til morning, grrrr! So all that meant that I missed Zumba :( and I'm only just getting my tea now so I am STARVING!!!!! :eek: Hope tomorrow's a better day but I think it has the potential to be just as bad...

So here's today's summary anyway...

Breakfast: Muller Greek Yog (0.5), Banana
Lunch: 2 x Tesco Sushi Snack Packs (3), Pack of Ham, Salad & Nectarine
Snacks: Apple, Raspberries

Hello all!

Another hellish day at work today, all that work I did last night and then someone derailed the meeting and we never got to my bit properly.... grrr! :(

And thought yesterday's 11st 2.5lbs was too good to be true, back up to 11st 4lbs today! That said, I did eat a LOT of lamb last night as I was so hungry by the time I ate, so might just be a bit weighed down with that.

Would love to just go straight to bed tonight as am so shattered but have got a friend coming all the way from Liverpool so can't cancel - hope I can stay awake during dinner!!

Today's food and exercise...

Exercise: 30 Day Shred
Breakfast: Banana, Muller Greek Yog (0.5), Mint Tea, Apple
Lunch: Sainsbury's Sushi Pack (3), Peach, Carrot Sticks
Snack: Cherries
Dinner: Spaghetti Bolognese made with tomatoes, mushrooms and peppers, with 40g reduced fat cheddar to top (HEA) and garlic bread made with a WW Petit Pain (HEB), reduced fat butter (2.5) and garlic granules
Pudding: Mint Tea

Summary: 1 x HEA, 1 x HEB, 6 Syns, 30 Day Shred
