p.s..... i can smell wine gums. it's driving me round the bend. i can't stand it. i need some now. if they were beside me i would def eat some but they're not so i can't and i shouldn't cause i need to loose loose loose!
 
I couldn't even eat one wine gum right now and I love them!! I feel full up to my diaphragm lol. How's your mum getting on at home, hope she's managing well!!
 
yeah my mum's doing well. managing really well doing certain things for herself. hopefully getting her 'new leg' soon.

Woke up. Still tired but hubby is snoring big time and I feel starving hungry! My finger is killing me! I collided with a little girl during Zumba last night well our hands did. It really hurts. As I'm right handed and it's the middle finger on this hand I'm a bit stuffed. It hurts right in the knuckle joint. Ow!!!!
 
I'm awake too!! Woke up 10 minutes ago and had to go and jump in a cool shower I'm covered in hives again :( I'm off today so I'm going to do as the pharmacist suggested and go through the antihistamines to try and find one I'm not allergic to! I look like the elephant man lol. At least I've learned not to scratch them, as much as I'd love to!

Hope your finger is okay, is it swollen cos it's probably bruised ouch!

Anyway good news for me my stomach feels hollow and empty now yay!! :D But I'm hungry too now :( I refuse to get up just yet, I'm laid in bed with the fan going full blast at me. Going out to buy a lighter duvet today, not sure a 13.5 tog is helping my case much lol.
 
I noticed on fb that u were up too. Lol! My knuckle does look swollen :(. It is just so painful. If it is no better by tomorrow it'll be a&e for an x-ray. Can hardly bend it. Can go to the loo properly (u know what I mean :p) can't lift anything with that hand either. Grrrrrrrr

1.45 have lunch.... ashamed to say i've picked before lunch as i was hungry so there goes 200 cals of my burnt 700.
dropping ems off soon to my parents and at 3pm hair colour - ow! 5pm pick up dude then ems do kids tea. so tired now.

Hi Nikki,

Step away from the scales -- see if there is somewhere (a local gym) where you can have your body fat analyzed. I'll bet you are so much muscle that you should really go by inches more that weight.

You sound so busy with the LOs! I got tired just reading about it.

today.....

zumba 430 cals burnt! ems has done swimming and kids zumba and then we had a lazy afternoon. mind i did clean the car out. hoovered and inside cleaned!

i do worry about my food choices. i grab at food and not necessarily good choices when i'm wanting something NOW! also finding that i'm having to work harder at zumba to burn the calories. worked my ass off tonight and only just broke into the 400 cals mark. was leaping like a nut job. i can actually kick my butt with my heel when we do kick backs. it's the food choices letting me down!

brekkie - cd shake 138
lunch - bread x 2 slices and quorn ham 300
snack - bisc 180 (should have had a couple of apples)
snack 2 - handful of nuts and raisins 300 (guess)
tea - salad and cottage cheese with a slice of bread 500 cals
drinks - hot choc x 2 80 cals.

total.....
1398 cals eaten
cals burnt 430 from zumba 100 from the car 530 cals gone.
 
it's the 4 bisc and the wine gums that did me in though mm. 560 wasted cals that could have been like 11 apples lol :D 11 apples would have stuffed me out more than 4 bisc and a pack of wine gums.
 
Those wine gums have been calling to you haven't they? They have very loud voices!! ;)

Is it your zumba course this weekend??? Can't wait to see what you think of it!! My new Jillian m book came today, looks good, very similar ideas to beck. I've got another book too called Only Fat People Skip Breakfast I think it'll be interesting. Lol I'll be able to start my very own weightloss library soon I've got that many self help books!!
 
Zumba is Sunday :D. Very happy.

Craving red cabbage lately. Am buying salad with it in. I can quite easily find myself in tesco tomorrow buying a red cabbage just to eat raw! Nom Nom!

Haven't 'been' for a few days, well like 3/4! Took 1 tablet as I normally need 5! I didn't want massive tummy cramps for Zumba. Just screamed now on the loo! Wouldn't surprise me if there was blood! Bleurgh!
 
I got to the point when I was scared to go, as it hurt so much and made me bleed so bad. They say don't tense, but it's reflex!

I don't know what's wrong with me today. I'm so hungry very very hungry! Had my shake, a pint of water then 2 coffees! Then at ems swimming I had a bottle of coke zero. Got to the gym at 9.30 and was just so hungry I had a banana and a bottle of lucazade lite. Did core, Zumba then cycled on a hill interval program for the rest of my gym time got the kids from crèche and I'm starving so another banana has gone down and a coffee is next! I drank a litre of water whist exercising too! Still hungry! Got that rumbly tum feeling.

P.S burnt 722 cals at the gym :)
 
Nikki do you think your body might be holding onto things because you aren't eating enough calories?

Whats you MBR? If you drop too far below your MBR, your body hits starvation?

These are my details, id work yours out but not sure on your height age etc.

My MBR (Metabolic Basal Rate) is 1938 kcals. Meaning I need to eat this daily in order for my body to function.

You then use Harris Benedict equation to work out your DCN (daily calorific needs). What your body needs to function when you take daily activity into account. I would say that I am sedetary, so I multiple my MBR x 1.2 = 2326 kcals daily.

I need to eat 2326 kcals daily to maintain my weight.

But we all know that you need a deficit of 1000 kcals daily to lose 2lbs a week. So my daily kcals then becomes 1326.

My new daily calorie intake is 68% of my MBR. I know that if your BMI is higher than 40, you can go as low as 60% of your MBR before you start hitting starvation.

I can't remember what it is for a healthy BMI, but I'm sure it is 75-80% of your BMR and I would bet that you are going below that?

Maybe thats why you are hitting a brick wall?! Just a thought.
 
My Basel metabolic rate is 1479 cals this is what I would need to STS if I stayed in bed all day. Today I've eaten 1100 cals and burnt off 722! For tea I'll be eating 400 cals so my intake will be 1500 - 722 cals burnt is 778 intake total. I will STS on the scales or put on tomorrow!
