I haven't done any running on the treadmill at the gym recently, but I have been doing a lot of other sorts of exercise - and today I was able to run for 30 minutes non-stop without dying I did 3k in that time, which is great for me as I'm a real plodder.
In conclusion: weight loss and increasing general fitness really helps make things like running so much more achievable
