I used this recipe hun:


SPICEDFRUIT SCAN BRAN TEA CAKE
-------------------------------------
5 scan bran (5 syns)
large cup of strong black tea (brew 2 teabags for about 10 mins)
35g raisins (5 syns)
1 tbsp malt extract (2 syns)
3 beaten eggs,
6 tablespoons sweetener,
1 tsp mixed spice (2 tbsp of mixed spice is a bit much!)

Method:

Soak the fruit and scan bran in the strong tea for 15 minutes. Drain off the excess liquid, add the remaining ingredients and microwave for about 5 minutes.

When I make it again I'll probably leave the malt extract out as you can't taste it in the final cake (I couldn't resist trying a piece! )

It tasted very nice...the mixed spice made me think of christmas pudding. It's more of a pudding than a cake I think...it was lovely warm. It would be very nice warm with a banana and custard mullerlight xx

Girls I'm just about to order some more scan bran in holland and Barrett which one should I go for I had the original in a see through pack with blue writing I didn't know there was different types I'm after the healthiest ones X

Can someone help what is the nutrition info on the scan bran as when I ordered it from holland and Barrett it says online 12 calories a slice on my packet as I've just checked it says 31 cals a slice very confused ;-(
