My foot was quite swollen last night so didn't get straight off but did sleep then. Evidently Joseph said he had about two hours so he's go back to bed.

I had half a mind to cancel it yesterday morning but changed my mind by last night.
Joseph's like a bear with a sore head today...had hoped to go out as it's going to be sunny all day but he's already said he's not driving anywhere! Heavy rain tomorrow...

So yes we stayed in all day...sunshine et al....thankfully this afternoon he was a bit more like himself but is going to have an early night.

Thankfully the sun is shining in Joseph's little world today!
We went out for a few things we needed this morning, such a grey and drizzly rainy day here.
Today is Pessa & Derek's 50th anniversary. Pessa had arranged for a little family tea party celebration but Derek now has an infection to add to his woes, his (one) leg is turning gangrenous and he's really not feeling social so it will be a difficult day for Pessa. She took all the cards in yesterday for them to open together but he wasn't really taking much interest.

Things don't look good for Derek, my grampa had both legs removed below the knee from gangrene related diabetes.

He ignored the first one, so badly, and he took his socks off one day, along with all his toes!

Oh Lynne that must have been a terrible shock. At least Derek is in a very good nursing home and couldn't wish for better care. Pessa rang and said it all went quite well but she was very downcast. Understandably and once again Joseph didn't sleep well last night.

It wasn't to him, as he obviously knew how bad it was getting, and was building a kitchen extension at the time!

Good that Derek is being well cared for, and poor Pessa, and Joseph too, he's not sleeping well at all!
