Just back from the MOT. Well we'd already taken it to a garage because we recognised a 'noise'!! It was a CV boot which had actually been an advisory last year. The garage gave us a price of £110.
Today it failed on that point so Joseph asked how much to fix it...£52.50. So we'll have both sides done for £105. Feeling pleased with that result.

Lucky you mine has just cost a lot more then that

I know Jaffa, sorry about that.
I've been trying to save buy a little since Christmas to help out as we really don't have spare money for repairs...thankfully we can pay for it and the £40 for the MOT, that was discounted too because I 'liked' their fb page.
Going to have the work done next Monday and they will retest of course at nil cost. Phew...that will be that over for another year.

Been on the market for about 3 1/2 yrs now... We've heard so many horror stories about people renting and trashing the place and leaving behind all the bills etc that we decided against. Just have to sit it out really. A friend of ours in the village sold hers just before Christmas so we're hopeful.

Disappointed about the scales this morning...down 3/4 - 10.6 but had hoped for more off. Oh well...have to do my best today. I think bread is going to be off the menu. Although I'm pleased I can eat it without affecting my ears or joints I do wonder if that's why I'm holding onto the pounds?
Really going for lean & mean eating today!

Thanks Jaffa I'm really trying...

Went to the fracture clinic appointment this afternoon and had a long wait to be seen. Anyway saw a different consultant so was happier about that. I told him I felt it was finally starting to feel less painful but still not 100%. He said he was glad to hear that because he had been intending sending me for another xray. He had a good look at my ankle and said the problem wasn't so much the broken bone but the fact that I'd torn the ligaments attached to the end of it completely off!!! He said he would expect that sort of injury would take around 12 weeks. Said not to hesitate to come back again if I have anymore concerns.
So a few more weeks I guess....9 weeks tomorrow!
