Thanks Jaffa,
He's just spoken to the doctor and as we suspected no referral was made on the 22nd January for him to see a neurologist... So the doctor said as the waiting list is quite long he's advised him to contact our private company Benenden to see if they can help. Yes they will see him so GP has to now do a referral and then he can be seen. Could be a few weeks but quicker than a waiting list. This healthcare isn't anything fancy...just what they call a 'back-up' for the NHS provision; costs £8.14 each per month.

Just as well Joseph spoke to a Doctor today, are he wouldn't have known that the referral hadn't been done!

To be honest Lynne we're not happy with that surgery. The head of the surgery seems very aggressive... When we returned to the UK we registered with them because we moved into a maisonette one road away. At our first appointment he seemed anxious to get us on statins and change Josephs meds and put him on blood thinners etc. Because we are both OK on what we were taking we declined...he didn't like that at all.
So we've decided that after this latest episode that we're going to change surgeries, we have actually moved much closer to the surgery I went to from 1974 - 1994.

Sorry to hear that you and Joseph have had a bad experience with your doctor, its really not nice.

My first day back after the holiday was okay. I really don't know if I have been 'good enough' to be back on target tomorrow, but 'fingers crossed' big style! My scales were not at target tonight
and even with the usual 1lb lower the Slim World scales are I will still not be at target. Have to keep on being sensible for rest of day and tomorrow too. What will be, will be!

Thanks Donna..yes best we change.

Hope you can turn it around by tomorrow's weigh in...but you have been on holiday from work so I'm sure eating was different. My daughter mostly works just term time and I know it's always difficult for her too.

Joseph opened the Christmas Dundee cake!!! Oh it smelled sooo good but not a crumb entered my :ignore: Still got a whole (unopened) tin of shortbread biscuits and then we shall be done!! :p
