Forgot to post my food diary for yesterday
Breakfast – bacon, scrambled egg and mushrooms
Lunch – veg and barley broth
Dinner – turkey, ham, stuffing (all free), SW roast potatoes, carrots and parsnips, mashed butternut squash, cranberry sauce (2 syns) and gravy (3 syns)
Before bed - 2 slices of Nimble toast (HEb) with 2 laughing cow light triangles (1/2 HEa)
It was all going so well until I heard the mince pies and the Yule log calling to me when people were here. I managed to share them out as best I could but still have one slice of Yule log left and 2 mince pies. I’m sure I’ll tuck into them at some point but I don’t mind. SW is all about being sensible when you can... one meal at a time. I’m doing that. Have been doing that for months. Some meals are better than others. Some days are better than others. But for the most part I’ve been very good. I’ve not had any sweets (other than my accounted for curly wurlys when I’m low on syns) and this week was always going to be the tough one. I’ve got cakes and sweets in for people calling round as its rude not to and it’s also my birthday week and new year so I’m now accepting that this week is gonna be a bit lost.. but it’s one meal at a time and if I stick to that principle and fall off the wagon with goodies here and there then so be it.
I’ve 10 people coming round for NYE and I’m cooking for them also... I’ve made up a few SW curries and put them in the freezer already, will maybe make another SW dish and then have some frozen party food and have a buffet (I can ignore the party food and go with the SW stuff – hopefully, lol)
Total – more than I should have but less than I could have
