LOL !!!
Just chosse wisely at the chinese if you can. Plain boiled rice is fine and on plan on green. Avoid the nuts (lots of syns) and if you just stick to meat in oyster sauce or black been sauce it's only 5 syns! Something like beef & mushrooms is slightly less. Peking Duck with pancakes is 30 syns on Red or EE and a whopping 52 on Green!

Enjoy! I love chinese food.

Enjoy your Chinese!

You're doing so well, and well done on being able to resist the goodies you've got in at the mo that shows you've got some huge will power and you should be proud of that :) x

I'm having a Chow Mein Bev, that's the lowest more or less in the book. Had one a few weeks back and it was huge so divided it into 2. I shall do the same tonight....and I might just TASTE the punch to make sure it's ok for everyone else!!

...I HAVE bought diet coke though!!

B44, I don't know where it's coming from, I just must have my head in the right place, especially now I can see the results. Still have a long way to go...just as long as that willpower stays on form! xx

I know my book is old but other things are quite a bit lower.

This is what I've just picked up from SW Online though (and they still agree with my 2012 book)

Yes Chicken CM is 7, and I had 1/3rd last night and another 1/3rd today.....it was enormous......and the last went in the bin. I think they put in a meal for 2 instead of 1 TBH.
Have to say the punch was a bit TOO more-some!!...I had a few nuts,,,unsalted peanuts but it was only a few, we were too busy playing to eat the nibbles, and what was left I packed up for one of the ladies to take home for her children...removing any and all temptation!
:)

I seem to be flying in and out of here this week. Have got card orders coming at me from all directions, good because it keeps my occupied but bad because it makes my bum spread, and I'm just losing that now! had a bit of a surprise today, but a nice one when my jeans wouldn't stay up....definitely looked gross because the crotck kept slipping down my thighs!! Unfortunately I was out shopping at the time!
I don't know if I'm looking forward to WI this week or not......my scales don't show me much hope! xx
:sigh:

Happy bunny today, another 2lbs bites the dust plus have got my 2 stones award. Still a long journey but little steps! x

Well done chica - the first 2 stone always seems to cheer people along.
Now for the rest!

Well done Polly; a fantastic achievement.

Thanks very much ladies. Yes a long long journey, but little steps....when I think it's this time next year almost to get to my target (hopefully) it seems a long stretch, but still lots of determination at the moment xx

I posted on here yesterday, and it must have gone walkabout, or I clicked cancel instead of post. Bit nervous about tomorrow

but what will be will be! x

Good luck chica. Why are you so worried this week?

I don't know what's happening to my posts! I posted yesterday and did my ticker and signature and that's 2 that have gone walkabout.
I lost 1/2 lb this week, and had a lecture, I was disappointed.....that wasn't why I got the lecture, I got that because I don't have my syns properly, and had missed a couple of HE.Bs too. I've carried the same problem every week, not enough syns...and still feel as if I'm eating for the sake of it. I still can't get my head round the "eating more, makes you lose more weight" Sorry, am stuck in a rut with that one, I'm not hungry so don't have the "extras".
Thanks for replying x

Polly - not pleased about your consultant lecturing you. That's not good.
They should be supportive and help you understand what you may be doing slightly askew - not lecturing you.
And a 1/2 lb loss is still a loss chica - so don't be disappointed.

Regarding . . .
"I still can't get my head round the "eating more, makes you lose more weight" Sorry, am stuck in a rut with that one, I'm not hungry so don't have the "extras"
NO YOU DON'T HAVE TO EAT MORE . . . And yes I'm screaming and shouting that from the rooftops.

We had a chat about this when you first started and Pinkie said "The syns allow you to 'have a bit of what you fancy' and not go off the rails." She is absolutely right.

I think I gave you a bit of lecture then too. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO EAT MORE - just add the syns into your cooking and meals.
Proper gravy is synned, mayo is synned, salad cream is synned, olive oil can be synned.
Have real sausages instead of low fat ones and add the syns - and they are mega at around 4 or 5 syns a sausage - so you've just used your whole days ration in one fell swoop!

I know you don't take milk in your coffee, and you tend to have your cheese as your HeA, but you can always syn extra milk to have on your wheatabix. Do you like a hot milky drink? If so have a hot chocolate late at night. It helps me sleep and if you use 3 heaped tsp of real drinking chocolate made up with 200ml of skimmed milk - this adds 6.5 syns and if you do it with semi-skimmed it pushes it up to about 8 syns. Easy peasy to use syns.

Missing HeB is naughty though - but If I remember rightly you are doing EE so you should be getting enough fibre via spuds, pasta etc.
But adding say cereal or toast for breakfast, or a sandwich for lunch will solve that problem really easily.
Your wheatabix and extra milk would use up the HeB and some syns for whatever milk you've used.
And if you use real butter on your toast you'll use some syns. 10g on your toast is 3.5 syns, which is about what you need on toast.
Canned fruit, dried fruit, cooked fruit are all HeB - as are crispbreads.
You can easily incorporate these into a lunch.

Oh a large glass of wine is 6 syns - so treat yourself to one of those occasionally! Or a G&T etc etc etc

So come on - start thinking differently.
Get out of that rur and stop thinking that you have to eat more but that you can use your syns to continue to have the things you still like and love.

Sorry - lecture over. You can do this chica.

Well perhaps I shouldn't have said she "lectured me" because she didn't lay the law down, she's very nice and very helpful. We had a question and answer morning, and when she got to me I just said I was disappointed in this weeks results and I didn't know why I hadn't lost more..... it was the ladies in the group really that asked about my syns. I really think everyone thinks I'm depriving myself of things I really want, but I don't, not a bit. They all said about me having chocolate, and I said if I wanted something sweet I had grapes, and everyone groaned, lolol...but I love them!. The thing is, I've settled into this healthy eating lark.....I have what I want, I'm not hungry, and if I want a nibble I have fruit, which I love anyway, so nothing is a hardship. You can lecture me now....I don't have butter, or any spread, haven't since I started, and I don't have cheese as a healthy extra, I only buy cheese triangles and I syn those. I have fruit and usually WM toast for breakfast, am going to buy some porridge next week as the days are getting a bit chilly. I only have potatoes when I make a hot pot and they're layered on the top....I slice 3 medium ones, and that hot pot lasts me for 5 days (I freeze meal sized portions) and then fill the plate with veg. Even before joining SW, I only had a drink on a Thursday evening...it's not the same drinking at home on your own, in fact it wouldn't even occur to me. I'm not an old misery guts, I like wine etc when I'm socialising, but when it's just me I'd rather have a cuppa tea.
I'm not in the least unhappy about my diet or what I'm eating, perhaps I'm being too repetitive ?........but I'm enjoying what I'm having and so far am not bored with it. I suppose every once in a while, our bodys just "stay put", and after being 100% on plan last week (didn't even have a darts night!) I was disappointed at the small loss. Never mind, I won't let anything put me off, and thanks Bev for taking the time to reply xx

BTW. I had my birthday meal tonight, (Chinese) then I had CAKE!! couldn't refuse that could I? my Grandchildren came in with a giant chocolate cupcake complete with candles and singing to me.......so have definitely had EVERYTHING today! lol xx

Hit on the head for me, I did mean to say this yesterday (honest) - and it's now 15th!

What do you have as your HexA then if you don't have cheese and syn your cheese triangles?

Thanks Bev, lol!
My milk for my tea. Gotta have my cuppa!
:)

...Wednesday night and WI tomorrow...good job I don't actually bite my nails I wouldn't have any left!
Total ban on my scales this week, just have to wait for WI to see how I've done. Apart from my birthday I've been 100% on plan...even tried to up those syns, whether it will work or not is another matter! x
