Toad in the hole
ProPoints® value: 8 (I pointed mine higher as had a bigger portion and had 3 light choices sausages)
Servings: 4
Preparation Time: 15 min
Cooking Time: 35 min
Level of Difficulty: Easy

Ingredients

½ teaspoons Salt
1 medium Egg, Whole
300 ml Milk, Skimmed
2 tablespoons Water, cold (for batter)
200 g Sausages, Pork, Reduced Fat
5 spray(s) Cooking Spray, Calorie Controlled
1 small Onion, All Types, thinly sliced
50 g Mushrooms, sliced
4 teaspoons Gravy Powder / Granules, dry
1 pinch Salt, for seasoning
1 teaspoons Pepper, Black (Whole, Cracked or Ground)
1 sprig(s) Parsley, fresh, chopped
300 ml Water, (for gravy)

Instructions
1. Preheat oven to Gas Mark 7/210°C/425°F.
2. Put flour, salt, egg, milk and water into a large bowl. Using a whisk, beat together to make a smooth batter. Stand for 10 - 15 minutes.
3. Put sausages into a non-stick roasting pan. Place in oven on middle shelf for 5 minutes, until very hot.
4. Working quickly, pour batter around sausages and return to oven. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until risen and golden brown.
5. Meanwhile, make gravy. Mist non-stick saucepan with cooking spray. Heat, add onion and sauté gently until golden. Add mushrooms and 300 ml (½ pint) water. Heat until simmering, then stir in gravy granules. Cook until thickened. Season with salt and pepper and add parsley. Serve with toad in the hole.

Looks lovely. How many pp's? x

9 for the chicken and potatoes are normal pp plus 1 for oil

Today's offerings - minestrone soup - 2pp per serving and here was the beef hotpot. Yummy. Liked by all 4 of us. I had less than a full portion but pointed at 9. This was absolutely delicious. My favourite dish so far

Thought I'd revive this thread as it is such a good idea :) Here is my 0 point soup... I've had this so often but this mix of vegetables really seems to work. Red onion, carrot, courgette, yellow pepper and tomato with garlic, chilli and chicken stock.
