Still a good idea though, I'm all for donating to medical science if there's a chance it can help others
Did I read somewhere your from Derbyshire? X

I am yes! Are you one of us too?
I am indeed! It's royal derby that are doing the research, there was 3 leaflets in my blue folder xx
Ooh that's where I'm under! I didn't get a leaflet, maybe it's just certain midwife groups that are involved? Will ask my consultant tomorrow though, would love to be involved if I can. Lovely to see more local people on here - diary is in my signature if you ever fancy a chat xxx
It's this one tell the consultant <img src="http://www.minimins.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=112036"/> <img src="http://www.minimins.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=112037"/> So glad I don't have to see my consultant until 32 weeks last time I went in she finally saw me 1 and a half hours late!!
Thank you! Will mention it We were waiting an extra hour at our 20 week appointment - it'll probably be as bad this time We've got to be there for 3 for the scan and I bet we don't make it out until 5! xxx
Welcome shezni.. Congratz on bubs.. Have you joined the due dates thread too?? I'm (going to be) involved in a medical study too.. Mine is the "Genesis Study" and is to see if they can predict at a 39 week scan if a woman will have trouble in labour and need an emergency c section.. They're hoping to avoid such cases and I would assume if its successful, they'll book a planned section to avoid it.. I dunno.. All it means for me is going in for a scan at 39 weeks.. I won't get any results but if there are any complications or issues, the researcher will contact my consultant directly.. Otherwise my results will be included in the study.. Its nice to know you could help women in the future
Ohh.. You're team pink too are you? 3 of us now (altho i'm still not convinced lol)I have now
I like the idea that one day I might be helping my little girl have an easier time when pregnant and in labour etc a planned c section would be better than an emergency so I hope they can figure it out with your study x
She's a girl for definite according to the scan lady, I was convinced she was anyway! Hubby was convinced boy although I think that was more wishful thinking lolOhh.. You're team pink too are you? 3 of us now (altho i'm still not convinced lol) Yea its nice to do our little bit isn't it... and sure.. just means I get another little look at bubs.. Can't be a bad thing
Yea our sonographer had no doubts about it being a girl.. And even paused n showed us her girls bits.. but was SO convinced it was a boy that I just can't get my head around it.. So am still buying creams n lemons.. Have some pink bits but keeping it mostly neutral.. lolShe's a girl for definite according to the scan lady, I was convinced she was anyway! We've not told anyone though J is afraid he's gona let it slip.. LOLWe just knew ours was a boy - so did everyone we knew as well. No one at all thought he was a girl, although I think my mum secretly wanted a granddaughter - she's more than happy with a grandson though! So it was no surprise at all when we found out at 20 weeks. After the scan last night there is no doubt at all - we even have a picture of his bits to show him up with on his 18th lol

He said last night he was talking to some of the lads in work (they were asking Q's apparently!!) and he kept saying she.. Then stuttering and adding or he.. LOL.. I still call my bump Oisin or he in work... I'd told them ages before I was convinced its a boy so I've not changed how I refer to it... And I still tell people if they ask that I'm sure its a boy.. I thought I'd be the one slipping up
Quick (may be a pointless, silly) question...
Does anyone ever get days where they feel "restless"? I think, despite the lack of sleep, I'm having one of those days. I just can't get comfortable unless I'm up and moving about...which isn't good news for my bosses when they need me to work lol. I just feel really irritated sitting down...it just doesn't feel right??
WTF?! lol xx

I thought I'd blab at the first chance but I've not.. Am really pleasedGosh i don't know how you keep it a secret from everyone - i know i would 100% slip up if i knew! My sister found out what she was having and Mike told me he didn't want to know - i managed to tell him the very first time i mentioned the baby...so i know i wouldn't ever be able to keep it a secret! Good on you for managing!
I get like that in the evening time.. But when am tired n need bed..Quick (may be a pointless, silly) question...
