Thanks girlsThats deffo the best option...they'll pick it up on your next blood test if theres a problem and in the meantime...if you did have low iron levels it would affect you rather than baby anyways...making you tired/lethargic etc
lol I wont go into any detail about what harm I think too much iron can do as dont want to freak anyone out. X

Ha.. Very true.. It can take take take from me as long as it arrives here OKYeah, baby takes what baby needs. We just get the feeling crappy part!
Call me stupid... But what does that even mean???Has anyone considered keeping babies stem cells from the cord? I've not researched it properly yet but just wondered what other opinions are x
Hehe
It's when they take the stem cells from the cord and store them for years then if baby ever develops leukemia or other blood diseases they can be treated using them.
It's a big one off cost which is why we're still thinking about it.

Hi ladies, please can I join? It's nice to read other people have the same concerns and I'm not bonkers (yet) lol xx
I'm giving my placenta to a project at my local hospital, So it can be used for sick children to help make them better, I would like to think eventually it would become mainstream to donate it rather than bin it, and if my child did need it another mother had donated x

Two sets of my friends have had it. It isn't cheap though. It's one of those things that you hope you'll never need, but if you do, then it's pretty priceless. We haven't really considered it yet... Maybe we should?!

Hey Emma
Never heard of that but sounds a good idea. Would much rather something good be done with my placenta. Not like I'm going to take it home with me!
That's a lovely idea, it's not like we're gonna need it afterwards eh? Will have to see if my hospital does anything similar, would be well up for donating mine if so. xxx I wasn't even sure you could have it done in this country - you just never hear about it on any of the UK pg websites. I agree though, worth looking into if you can afford it. xxx
Hi Shenzi, good to see you here! You are definitely not bonkers, just pregnant, and pregnancy does make us all a little bit crazy in one way or another (or a lot crazy if you're me!) xxx
