Ladies... Slight "winded" type pain near right rib....baby perhaps?? Xx

Ouch sounds uncomfy! :( Does sound like it's baby pushing against your ribs though. Naughty little monkey ;)

You know when I said about getting winded when you sit up straight? Here's where it starts!

Baby will be shoving at your ribs, it gets really sore as baby gets bigger and you get out of breath with everything being squished up. xxx

Oh yes. Mine started with that about a month ago and still does it, mainly when I'm driving. Mine started just after baby went head down so I figure it's a foot as when I rubbed or poked it I'd get a kick! Now I think it rams as much as it can up there because it takes my breath away some days. xxx

Well I'm 30 weeks this weekend, and at my 28 wk midwife appointment baby was head down so in theory it could be baby... I can't feel a foot there necessary (as in, I haven't felt kicking going on against my ribs) but I just have this uncomfortable, almost painful feeling as if I've "bruised" my right rib cage? It feels..well..yeah! Like being winded, or bruised. It's worse when I'm sitting, and seems to feel a bit better when lying down. Do you think it could be baby then at almost 30 weeks?

Little monkey!!! :) x

Ooh feet in the ribs is NOT comfortable AT ALL... I've been getting that for a good few days now.. Maybe just over a week... It really is painful.. Not like "I can't do anything I'm in so much pain" but you def can't ignore it....

On another note... I think I ate too many sprouts for dinner....I have trapped wind pains going on in my tummy/back... OUCH...
Are we allowed Rennie Deflatine does anyone know???

Haha... I have discovered if I kinda rub downwards... it moves it.. but only for a minute or 2... lol
Bit of a break though... lol

Aldo when am sitting upright... say at the table or something... Baby gets so rammed up against my ribcage that my breathing goes as if i'v run a marathon... That's not particularly nice either!!!!!
Maybe that's why the lady at AN was breathing like she was last week.. Afterall... she's carrying twins!!!!!

Thanks Shenzi :)

Oh go on, it can't be that bad....
I found the minty gaviscon double action tablets to be quite good-they taste like polos! X

I use Deflatine and it works a treat!!! Says on the box you can have it and I checked with midwife too. Trapped wind is horrible!!

You can definitely take normal Rennies (I swear by 'em) but not sure about the deflatine ones?

And you still need to tell us your name ;)

Ooh is it after one of Take That? ;-)

Bit late but just re the movements....I noticed a distinct change in movements at the end of the 20's and beginning of the 30's. Hardly any kicks anymore and just started to be more what feels like elbows/legs/feet/bum pushing out. More rolling around type movements. It did worry me at the time too as I was so used to the kicks xxx

Ladies who've got this far (and Susie if about) I've just been sick for the first time in months! Is it anything to be worried about?

I started feeling really acidy and didn't have time to even move before it happened. :/ Its very lucky that I was in the kitchen at the time - had to change my top though, so grim! And poor Colin had a clean up job on his hands :( Have had a massive drink of water and some gaviscon and been packed off to bed for a lie down. I still feel a bit sicky and generally tired and rubbish. Baby is wriggling plenty though so he seems unaffected! xxx

:) I'm around! It's nap time so I have time on my hands!
Hope you're feeling a bit better! Could be a sign that things are going to get moving/started! Not necessarily 'now' but some people find they get sicky or an upset tummy the other end when labour isn't far off. It's your body's way of clearing out stuff it doesn't want!
That said, it might be nothing and just a one off. It happens hun, one of the joys of being pregnant! Or you may have eaten something that didn't agree with you. If it happens again, keep drinking water/squash/juice and as long as baby moving ok, don't worry
Hope you feel better soon xx

Thanks hun, it was just a bit of a shock is all! I didn't get any warning, it just happened. So glad I was at home - would have been mortified if it had happened in public... :/

I have had a dodgy tummy over the last few days and mega heartburn which I put down to my thurs night takeaway curry, I had the horrible runs yesterday! But I hope it is a sign that things are getting going, surely I can't still be feeling the effects of dinner from two days ago?!

Either that or I'm coming down with something? My head's hurting and I do feel a bit shaky and crap after all that. Hoping it'll pass soon :) xxx

Ohh Sarah it could be the start of things!!! Then again it could just be a bug. Seems to be alot of those flying around at the minute. Really hope its a positive sign for you. Make sure and have a wee nap if you are feeling shaky though. xx

Ah I hope so too! Time to come out now baby ;)

Still got the headache, it's a proper pressure headache and not very nice at all. Tried napping but wasn't happening, head is way too sore! :/ I'm feeling hungry now though so I'm taking that as a good sign and we're off to find dinner and paracetamol :)

How's you, is your pelvis a bit better? x
