Hiya, I think I've got it lol This is how I read it. You've got to be employed at least 26 weeks before conception.

It states 26 weeks before a 'test period' and in brackets it says 66 weeks including babya due date. Therefore if you add 26 weeks and 40 weeks pregnancy you get 66 weeks

Does that make sense lol

It's times like this I wish I was smart hahahaha :)

God I'm bored!! Oh is playin xbox with his mate as he is round! Proper yawn!!!! It's making me wanna eat the contents of the cupboards!!

Cheekypasterfield thanks so much for the info!

Hope I can add a bit of clarity - this is something which we've been very interested in at work because our office is closing at the end of this year, and a few of us wanted to be able to cleverly time it so we would receive our maternity and redundancy ;) Difficult thing is we don't know when the office is closing - could be anytime after October...

Firstly every company has their own policy on this so it may be different depending on where you work. But the way I understand it is you need to work for the same company for 26 weeks prior to the 15th week before your due date week.

i.e. My est due date (calculated by myself) is 28th September. The 15th week before would be week of 13th June.
So in order for me to be eligible I would need to have worked for my company for 26weeks before that date - i.e. since week of 13th December.

Hope that makes sense to have it broken down. This is how I understand it anyway although may not be 100% correct as like others have said it's abit difficult to read.
Our issue here timing-wise was that I would have to be still employed by the company on that 15th week before - if they issued redundancy before that then I wouldn't be eligible for SMP.

I just wanted to share how completely exhausted I feel. It comes over in waves... I'm ok now but 10 mins ago I was nearly sleeping on my desk! All I want to do is sleep - and I feel so lazy!!

Did anyone else feel like this early on?

I don't know whether I'm lucky or not (as it's just making me paranoid!!) but I haven't really had any other symptoms. I did have a constant ache in my lower back but that's eased now, I've had some pains in my boobs (and I'm sure they've grown!) I've had the occasional slight nausea which I'm not sure if I imagined!! And finally a couple of days of terrible trapped wind. But these could all be coincidental...
Having a bit of a paranoid time at the moment as it just doesn't feel real enough yet!!

Hiya Sarah, Congratulations. I have found with both my pregnancies, I suffered with tiredness badly and I only ever had nausea, I was never sick. Everyone is different as my MW said each baby growing in our bellies are different, so why should our pregnancies be the same lol.

I always worried about imaging my symptoms lol but I went with the flow. Tiredness and sickness will settle down soon

Good luck

Thanks hun, I am grateful not to have any sickness tbh but at the same time, I think it would just make it feel more real!
Well lucky me has managed to wangle the afternoon off work so I'm going to potter home and snooze all afternoon!! I swear my hubby just thinks I'm using this as an excuse to be a lazy cow!!

I was shattered first trimester. I tried to get up about 8-9, ended up back in bed/couch for about 1 - 1.5hours about 14:30, made dinner and usually back in bed about 10. Knackered doesnt cover it.

Nausea, I only had a sick feeling about 7 -7:30 at night and found big portions gave me the "scunner". But never sick once, and felt fine during the day.

Sore boobs yup - cleared up by about week 11 though, as did the nausea.

This week - week 15 - I feel brilliant, full of beans. Walking everywhere, lots of energy and baby brain lifting a wee bit now.

My hubby was so considerate and SO prtective it was lovely but after a few weeks done my head in. He's relaxed a wee bit now, but kid gloves doesnt cover it.

I'm not allowed to:
Stretch
lift anything "heavy" but he's not clarified what this is yet
Sleep on my back
Have sex, or anything that involves physical contact really
Paint/decorate without supervision
Walk with my hands in my pockets, in case I'm off balance and fall.
He makes me put my seatbelt on under where my bump would be - just in case
Not drink enough
and at one point everything was a "can you eat that" - off to google

I know its because he cares but I'm 29!! I know how to walk!

In that case roll on week 15 lol!
Managed to finish work early so I can spend a couple of quality hours chilling out and having my emotions put to the test watching moulin rouge!

haha sarah, dont get too complacent. I didnt get sick till 7 weeks, thenbang. LOL

so glad your all doing well. Announced our news on fb today, feels great to share with the world! x

Hiya at the moment I've got a 'designer' bump lol I'm 21 weeks and this time round I'm a lot smaller. I've also found that I felt baby kick a lot earlier too. I felt baby move at 16 weeks and at 18 weeks, the kicks started getting stronger. Now baby doesn't stop lol

I'm due the 9th June, and we are expecting another little girl.

My hubby sadly isn't as considerate this time around, thinks I can still do everything before I fell pregnant.

I know what you mean about it making feel more real. You'll soon have a nice baby bump x

Tell me about it!!!! Last time round Hubby treated me as if i was fragile and wouldn't let me do anything, this time round i'm running after a 3 yr old, working parttime and looking after house, then he moans that i want to go to bed at 9pm!!!!
