Lexie - so glad everything's ok, must have been such a worry

Cheeky/Rosie - I can't imagine what I'm going to feel like when I'm at that stage! I can imagine you just want time to fast forward now!

Well I weighed myself out of curiosity this morning. And at 21+1 I am 1st 2lb up eeek!!! Can't say I'm too happy about that, I was hoping for about a stone but not over. Would really like to keep my total weight gain within the 2stone mark but not sure if that'll happen now!
Thing is I have honestly not noticed putting on weight anywhere other than my bump so I'm not sure where it's all gone!

Sarah I'd say 1st 2lb isnt bad weight gain. If you want to, you can still stay within the 2st mark or a little over if you have a period of staying the same. A lot of the time Ive had STS especially in the 2nd trimester.

Id just go with the flow if you feel you can follow SW for a while, then got it, otherwise just eat sensibly x

I am glad baby is fine for you Lexi. The books say it is normal to put on a one pound every single week during the second trimester. I know I weighted myself yesterday and I went from 12.9 to 13.10, yuk - but this is a result of an increased appitite and the fact I have made some really naughty food decisions. So far though in the past three days I am getting better at managing to eat healthy. Also what helps is planning a weekly menu and going to the supermarket once a week, as orginally I really struggled and went most days to the supermarket and had impulsive buys. Not only does this save me money but helps keep me control. It has been difficult though as this week my mental health has been on a slippery slop but I think that is down to my hormones because my mood is all over the shop!

I have attached a picture of my bump of love :)

I would say to everyone not to worry too much about the weight you will likely put on - everyone is different and everyone will put on a different amount. It's something that can be dealt with after the baby has arrived more than anything else.

Cheeky - I'm the same as you - shooting pains near the cervix - so much that I'm nearly sure that the baby is using his/her hand to test for the way out - lol Baby has got very wriggly just recently - was wriggling till gone 2 this morning and because it was wriggling so much I couldn't get to sleep!

My first was 11 days late - so as much as i'd like this one to be early - I've got 20th June in my head! Although that doesn't stop me from thinking and hoping it will be early!

Sarah - it's really hard to explain how you feel when you are this close to having the baby but don't know when it's going to arrive and every little niggle is a question to see if things are starting. My advice to any new time mum is to get in their head that baby isn't going to arrive until 2 weeks after the due date - it might help from the really impatient feeling a bit as otherwise you can drive yourself up the wall.
Also find something to do that will keep your mind occupied - plan days out (not too far away), or meeting with friends - anything to keep you occupied and stop you from going stir crazy - this was what got me through my first - am starting to think about what I can plan at the moment to get me through until the baby arrives :)

Sorry - hope that all makes sense and wasn't too rambling!

Hope everyone enjoys a nice relaxing weekend!

I have bought some new outs fits for baby to wear when she is born and coming home lol otherwise all her clothes are hand me downs lol

But she has got a new cot bless her lol.

Well I'm only 5 weeks lol luckily the newborn hand me downs are unisex so it's ok. Especialy as we have 2 boys n if we get a girl this time lol

Just wanted to ask. Should I be worried about the fact I have had extreme nausea all week for a whole week to the point of not eating. And today I haven't stopped eating and don't feel sick..... Is this a worry. I feel happy and could cry with the fact I've had brekki lunch n a meal out n extras an not to mention a calippo ice lolly.... Slight obsessed with!! But worried that it's all of a sudden I feel fine.....

If your worried Leanne could you ring your midwife or the hospital, I know in the 1st trimester I suffered awfully with nausea but on the odd day felt much better and eat a lot more food in which I normally wouldn't of done.

I just bidding on a moses basket, I thought I best start gathering things up, the prospect of doing it closer to birth date is daughting as I may be exhausted to go around shops and look at stuff!

Bunny you're up early!- mind you'll need a new mattress for the basket if it's second hand.

I'm not going out for stuff until 30th June which is 3 weeks pre-due date. I'm either mental or optimistic I'm waddling around shops.

I still need crib, mattress, bedding, changing box, maternity pads, something to wear during labour and some bits for my bag. Baby is ready to go nappies (disposable for first week/when in hospital) and reusable when home and lots of baby gro's/sleep suits and the odd outfit. Got bibs, socks, hats etc too.

We're going to look at a new house today which I don't know how worthwhile that's going to be. Flats on the market and not moving, as expected but now husbands panicking that we wont be sold and moved before baby arrives (told him this would happen but no no) so now we're going to look at a new build with a view to part exchange, meaning we still have to pay estate agent contract. Numpty. "Oh but I've got new job with more money and I'm getting promoted in 6 months" Aye very good, that's in 6 months, what we doing until then?

Just thought has anyone heard from grumble? Last time she was on here she said she had some kind of brown spottin i think it was and just wondering if she's ok :(

Lexi - I have insomia and difficultly sleeping at the moment, pfft! Well done on the job and hope you can get your home sorted out for the baby :)
I am going to have a nap as I am totally exhausted through being so hot and the loudness of the wind/rain :) Baby is moving a lot and making sure I am aware of it but I love it and think it is the best part, as I feel close to the little one :)
