RD's life diary: I'm back (sort of)

ooohh hope the hunks were worth waking up for ;)
glad your car didn't have any damage, i know it's your pride & joy!
Fab news about the PINK !!!!!, but you def need to drink more, burgundy ain't good, unless you're talking wine (or so i'm told, i don't do red wine )
have a good day.
xx :)

ooohh hope the hunks were worth waking up for ;)

You know, there's just 'something' about a fireman that does it for me. <sigh!>
It did my soul the world of good standing at the window in my Minnie-mouse nightie watching them do their stuff!

It's been a bit of a chill-out day today ... in fact, for chill-out, read 'lazy' - I've done NOTHING! Hubby comes home tonight which I'm looking forward to - I'd love to go to the cinema with his this weekend (if he's managed to save up enough pot-noodle money) to see 'Run Fat Boy, Run' ... it looks really funny.

The pot noodle money, by the way, is cash he manages to save each week he's away by saving the meal allowance given to him by his company: he does this by having a pot noodle in the evening instead of a meal. Not ideal I know but it pays for my fuel to Uni! :)

I can just imagine you in your minnie mouse nightie, drooling ..... lol! :D

Ah, you DH does sound lovely! (better than a foreman you little minx!) Hope you get to pics. Hows CD going? Still being a fat burning machine? I bet you are. This lovely weather has to be helping too - Summer at last!

Have a great weekend Debbie, Love

Yep - the CD is still going great. I hesitate from making sweeping statements about 'cracking it this time' because of all the times I've crashed and burned but for now, I'm quietly confident.

All the old familiar noises eminating from my tummy have returned - you know, those whining, grumbling noises pleading for a pannini, muffin or whatever. I'm managing to ignore them - they're actually quite amusing :)

I think we're going to the cinema tonight - yayyy - thank you Pot Noodles!!

bless your lovely hubby for saving his money for you to have a treat.
hope you have a good time & the film is as funny as its advertisd as being, will want a report tommorrow !!!
glad to hear the SSing is still going well & long may it last
xx :)

There's something about firemen in uniform I would have been watching too. And congrats so pleased things are going well and hope you have a great weekend
Irene xx

Just seen my typo, 'foreman', you know i meant fireman, although I like a man in charge.....

Hope the pics were good and you didn't succumb to any contraband! Good to hear you sounding happier and more confident.

Have a lovely Sunday.

Love

hi rd
well done for getting in the pinks
i agree firemen do things to me to

i think you are doing so well keep up the good work
kaz :D

Day 7 and so far, so good. I haven't slipped up ONCE - not even at the cinema last night.
Funny though how, when you're not participating in the mass pig-out that IS a night at the cinema, you hear every rustle, chomp and slurp!
I made do with a bottle of water and was fine. I made sure I had a mousse just before I went so I wasn't hungry.

The film (Run fat boy, run) was good - really funny! The ending was a wee bit cheesy for a Simon Peg film but I noticed it was directed by David Schwimmer (Ross from 'Friends') so it did have a small American influence. A good night out all the same and I'd recommend it heartily. No big action, no deep plot - just a good, watchable film.

There was a bit of bad news yesterday. My sister (mother of James, my nephe who died) phoned me to say her Shi Tzu puppy, Darcy had died. Apparently, he contracted the Parvo virus and died in quite a horrible way, poor little thing. She's devastated and also very guilty because she didn't get around to having his second jab done and so he was extra susceptible as he was so small. I wasn't about to have a go at her for being irresponsible though ... she's had enough to deal with lately.

I'm starting to feel a bit 'different' even after only a week. My midriff feels slightly smaller, like it's been deflated just a bit. I have a size 22 jacket that I bought form a charity shop recently (very nice, beige faux soft suede) but although it's more than ample around my shoulders and chest, I can't do it up around my tummy. When I can do that jacket up, I'll really know I've made progress!

It's a beautiful day so we'll probably try and get out and about somewhere as Steve goes away again tomorrow. More later ...

Day 7 already! Well done hun, you obviously have your head in the "zone" at the moment. Keep up the good work, and hope you had a wonderful weekend with hubby xxx

Cracking news honey!! Good on ya for resisting all the cinema goodies (baddies!) and for getting Day 7 under your (increasingly shrinking) belt :D

So sorry to hear about the puppy though. Even though your sister didn't have him that long, it's still devastating to lose a loved animal. I still miss our Chloe who died in April (that was one heck of an April Fool's Day gag she played on us :sigh:). Maybe your sister will get another one when she feels the time is right?

Lots of love - and I can't wait to see how well you've done after I get back from the US

glad to hear all is going well, long may it last !!
sorry to hear about your sisters dog, i'm sure he had been a comfort to her recently & now she is grieving again.
luv n huggs to you all
xx :)

Well, I did my 'official' weigh in this morning and the result is .... an 8lb loss. I suppose this is pretty good - but I usually do better on WK1 of CD (I should know - I've done so many week 1s! )

Maybe it's because I've been dieting on and off for so long before I went back to CD that I didn't have a huge glycogen store - maybe it's because I didn't drink enough water (my biggest problem area: I struggle to get more than 2 litres down ... must try harder!).
Anyway, 8lb is 8lb and it takes me well away from that dreaded '17st' so I can look towards my first mini-goal.

I'm off to Uni today so will report back later. :)

hey Debbie, it may not be as good as you would have liked, but its not 8lb ON is it, & you've had a good start so don't be despondant & give up.
try to up the water & have a good day
xx :)

Well done Debs. As Cheryl says 8lb is 8lb, and at least its in the right direction. Have a good day at Uni hun xx

I think 8lbs is flipping fab - WELL DONE THAT WOMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You'll be under the 16 next week I reckon!

love

8lbs?! That's 4 bags of sugar y'know? Try carrying 4 bags of sugar around all day and see how heavy they feel - and then be proud of yourself for being that much lighter already :)

Have a great couple of weeks - both diet-wise and at Uni. I'll be checking on you when I get back from my hols .. be warned!! *lol*

Much love
