Ruby's Starting Over (Again!)

Hey Ruby :), how are you hun ? I'm just making my way around diaries, catching up. I really hope your dad has a speedy recovery soon hun. You've been through so much over these last few weeks, so well done to you for a sts. I am a big emotional eater and I know I would have gained a couple of pounds. Brilliant NSV moments you've had, woohoo ! It must feel so nice to fit into the smaller sizes (me not so much ,big post about my disaster shopping trip on my diary ) but I'm really happy for you. Sometimes we need to remind ourselves of these fab NSV's to keep going on our journey. I'm sure by the time the wedding comes around you will be looking amazing in your new dress. We want to see pics ! :D It's a mins rule ! Hehe :p. Hope your having a smashing week and good luck for your next weigh in. Your foodage looks fab by the way, mmmm love mackerel :).

Kay xx

Hi Kay! Thank you so much for the positivity, I was going to comment on your "diasaster" shopping trip as you out it so will pop over to your thread in a minute and do that. And don't worry, I will endeavor to post some 'before' and 'during' pictures soon in an effort to keep me on track.

I'm not too bad, it's so hot at work and it's causing me to lose all focus. I have a to-do list a mile long but I can't seem to find the motivation to actually do any of it! Going to do start something small in a minute that I should be able to finish this afternoon (with any luck) just so I can say I achieved something today.

Got home late last night so didn't manage to do my work out as planned so will be doing that tonight whilst DF cooks. I'm going to need it as I think dinner is going to be rather high syn wise but I don't really care, it's still going to be within my weekly allowance and hopefully the exercise will keep my matabolism high enough to burn it off relatively quickly!

16th July (Week 15, Day 3) - Extra Easy

Breakfast - Special K Granola (HEB), coconut and vanilla greek style yogurt, strawberries

Lunch - Ham Salad (mixed leaves, gherkins, cucumber, tomatoes, beetroot, pickled onions)

Snack - Banana, 2 clementines

Dinner - Currywurst (Bratwurst sausages in a curried tomato ketchup), served with SW Chips, salad and a tiny bit of extra light mayo on the side (ALL THE SYNS!)

DF developed a love for Currywurst while we were in Berlin (it is rather yummy) and I found him a recipe that he cooked while I was ill a few weeks back, but used Quorn hot dog sausages. When I went to Aldi with my mum last week I picked up some proper bratwurst so we can experience the (kind of) real thing again. Will probably have my HEA of grated low fat cheese on the chips just to add to the calorie content of my dinner!

Morning everyone! Boy is it hot today! I'm in the basement of our building and usually it's quite cool but we've got all the windows open and it's still warm. Hate to think what it's like upstairs! The wearing of clothes that haven't fit for a while continues: today I have a dress on that I bought last summer that I wore once and then never again because it was too tight. Today it fits like a glove! I know I haven't really lost that much weight since then (less than a stone) but it just goes to show what the exercise is doing for me. Even though I haven't managed to properly start working out yet this week (tonight I will make an effort!) I've still been taking walks round the park at lunch and even walked to the post office last night.

Speaking of the post office, I went to pick up my wedding shoes! I won't say too much because I haven't had a chance to actually look at them yet but will do tonight when DF is out.

After all that excitement, lets move on to today's food:

17th July (Week 15, Day 4) - Extra Easy

Breakfast - Special K Granola (HEB), Shape 0% fat strawberry yogurt, punnet of blueberries

Lunch - Ham Salad (Mixed leaves, cucumber, tomatoes, pickled onions, gherkins, beetroot and ham)

Snack - 2 clementines, banana

Dinner - Jacket potato with cottage cheese, cheese (HEA) and a large salad on the side

Yay it's Friday! Today is set to be a hot one in London (about 32 degrees where I am) and it's already almost 25 in our office. When it's this hot I don't really feel like eating so I'm keeping it light during the day and then stuffing my face with pasta tonight. Hope you're all keeping cool in this weather, remember to stay hydrated! Didn't manage to get any body magic done last night as it was way too hot in the flat. Going to leave it for the rest of this week and then make a concerted effort come Monday. Had a cheeky peek on the scales this morning and I appear to have lost all that I gained 2 weeks ago. Hoping that I can keep up the good work and lose a little bit more by Monday.

18th July (Week 15, Day 5) - Extra Easy

Breakfast - Special K Granola (HEB), Shape fat free raspberry yogurt, banana, melon

Lunch - Ham Salad (Ham, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, radishes, peppers)

Snack - 2 clementines

Dinner - Quorn meatballs, with tomato pasta (chopped tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, peas and herbs) topped with grated cheese (HEA)

Oh and a few litres of water!

It's 1:30pm and I've just finished my 3rd litre of water. I can see me consuming at least 2 more before the end of the day. Stay hydrated people!

Morning everyone! Updating on a weekend, what's wrong with me? Spent yesterday at a local music festival and I may have synned slightly. Pinched a few of DF's chips, had half a doughnut and then chicken in black bean sauce with fried rice. It did have lots of superfree in it but the fried rice was obviously fried in oil. It was only as we were leaving that I saw I could have had a jacket potato at one of the tiny food trucks that was hidden out of the way! Oh well, I drank lots of water and did a lot of walking so I don't think I've done that much damage.

Need to go food shopping later as we have nothing really in the house, so I can't post a meal plan yet. Hope you're all having a good weekend and I'll catch up with you tomorrow.

Well done Ruby on your loss ! :D I just saw you post it on the challenge thread. I'm so happy for you ! :p

Kay xx

Thanks Kay, I'm slightly disappointed as I had a sneaky peak on Friday and I was actually down to 11st 8! That would have been amazing but after the food on Saturday and not really drinking enough water yesterday, I'm lucky I lost at all! Oh and I think mother nature is about to make an appearance so this week should be interesting. Going away for the weekend to Northampton for a friend's wedding but will try and stay on plan as much as possible. I have 20 weeks to lose 17lbs so I'm at my target for going to Prague in December. It should be achievable but we shall see.

Anywho on to today's food:

21st July (Week 16, Day 1) - Extra Easy

Breakfast - Special K Granola (HEB), Shape fat free raspberry yogurt, lots of frozen mixed berries (strawberries, blackberries, redcurrants and blueberries)

Lunch - Ham Salad (mixed leaves, cucumber, tomatoes, pickled onions, ham) and some BGTY coleslaw (1.5 syns)

Dinner - Jacket potato with cottage cheese, grated cheese (HEA) and salad on the side

Snacks - Banana, 2 clementines and carrot sticks

I know I'm having ham salads again for lunch this week but it's something I can just throw together that is totally on plan! Hope you all had a good weekend and good start to the new week!

I only lost 1lb on the challenge today :( mother nature intervened. Your loss is still good. I'm hopeing mine will show up next week when the water weight drops off. I hope you have a fab week and enjoy the wedding on the weekend, I'm sure you'll have a smashing time :p. Oh and I love ham salad, nom nom :D.

Kay xx

I'm sure you'll do really great this week Kay, you're always so good on your challenges!

Email system is broken at work so I'm at a bit of a loose end as all my notes are in my draft folder and I can't get to them. So I have a to-do list but no idea what I exactly need to do! Anyway on to today's food:

22nd July (Week 16, Day 2) - Extra Easy

Breakfast - 2 Weetabix (HEB), skimmed milk (1/2 HEA), activia fat free raspberry yogurt, pile of mixed frozen berries (strawberries, blackberries, blackcurrants, redcurrants)

Lunch - Ham Salad (mixed leaves, cucumber, tomato, pickled onions, ham) and some Sainsbury's BGTY coleslaw (1.5 syns)

Dinner - Chicken and mushroom risotto (chicken breast, mushrooms, mixed peppers, peas, spinach, garlic, chicken stock, rice) with some chive cottage cheese mixed in

Snacks - 2 clementines, banana and an Alpen Light bar (3 syns)

Really fancied weetabix this morning so decided to have 2 breakfasts almost. Feeling very full now. Also trying cottage cheese in my risotto ala Princess Stevie so I save a HEA that way. Oh and the alpen bars are the old style ones so they're still 3 syns.

Morning everyone, still no emails at work but lots of meetings today so I'll be keeping busy. Managed to start working out again last night, and this time I'll complete the 4 week program in 4 weeks hopefully!

23rd July (Week 16, Day 3) - Extra Easy

Breakfast - 2 weetabix (HEB), skimmed milk (1/2 HEA), activia fat free yogurt and frozen berries

Lunch - Leftover risotto (chicken, mushrooms, mixed peppers, peas, spinach, rice)

Dinner - Quorn swedish style meatballs, mashed potato and mixed veg

Snacks - 2 clementines, banana, alpen light bar (3 syns)

And while I was in the middle of typing this, my dad called and said he's got the all clear from the consultant! So pleased for him as the 2 operations took it out of him as it is, I'm not sure he would have been able to cope with chemo / radiotherapy also. I feel like a metaphorical weight has been lifted from my shoulders. If only that would manifest itself as weight from my body, it would be even better!

Morning everyone, just popping in quickly to update food.

24th July (Week 16, Day 4) - Extra Easy

Breakfast - 2 weetabix (HEB), skimmed milk (HEA), activia fat free raspberry yogurt, frozen mixed berries

Lunch - Carrot and cucumber sticks, cherry tomatoes, ham

Dinner - Smoked Mackerel, crushed new potatoes, roasted cherry tomatoes and red onion, side salad.

Snacks - 2 clementines, banana

Hope you all have a good day!

Morning everyone! Not feeling too chipper today. In fact I might have to think about heading back home in a minute as I feel so lousy! Went to a wedding on Saturday and lets just say there were waiters topping up my wine glass without me knowing about it. That coupled with not a lot of food led me to not feeling so great Sunday morning. Totally off plan weekend as the only thing I could face eating was medicinal fried chicken (aka KFC) but lets say that didn't stay in my system for long either. Apparently I'm not the only guest that still isn't very well and not all of us had a lot to drink so we're thinking it might have been something in the food as well (it was a really hot day...) Anyway, apart from that it was a lovely weekend!

I've ended up putting a lb on this morning but I'm not too worried about it as I think it's bloat more than anything (mother nature decided to make an appearance last week).

I have got some food with me but I'm not sure I can actually face eating it. Not going to list it here as there's really no point. Hope you all had a good weekend and I'll catch up with you tomorrow.

Afternoon Rubs, sorry to hear about the poor tum at the wedding, hope your feeling better now hun and enjoying this lovely weather :):).

Kay xx

Unfortunately Kay, it turned into a full blown stomach bug on Monday. Tuesday was better and I managed to keep some chicken broth down. Wednesday I had a small sandwich as I had to go to a conference in Leeds (and was feeling tons better by this stage). Yesterday I was back at work and managed to eat something for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Then this morning I wake up with a sore throat, headache and generally feeling a bit rubbish.

Hoping that I can shake it off and knuckle down this month. I'm fed up of yo-yoing all over the place so I am determined that from now on I will stick well and truely to plan. I will also get a move on with this exercise lark, because that's the only way my body is really going to change. So today's plan is to stop feeling sorry for myself and just do it:

1st August - Extra Easy

Breakfast - 2 weetabix, shape fat free yogurt, cherries

Lunch - Lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes and lots of ham

Dinner - Grilled Basa fillets, SW Chips, grilled tomatoes and mushy peas

Snacks - 2 clementines, banana, 425ml Koko Coconut milk with Choc Shot, Weetabix Rainbow Smash Oaty Bar

HEA - 2 Weetabix
HEB - 425ml Koko Coconut Milk
Syns - 5

That is of course if I actually feel hungry. So far I've had my yogurt and I'm not sure I could manage the rest of my breakfast but I'll try and get it down. Also want to try and get the last of the week 1 exercise programs done tonight so I can start week 2 on Monday.

Hope you all have a great day and I'll try to catch up with diaries tonight.

Morning everyone! I've only gone and lost 4.5lbs this week! So chuffed you would not believe! I now have less than a stone before I hit target! I know I didn't really eat for 2 days this week but I weighed myself Friday and then again today and it was showing the same weight, despite going back to eating my usual amount of food over the weekend (plus a naughty chocolate desert yesterday!) So this has spurred me on to be even more good this week and actually do some exercise now that I'm feeling better.

On to today's food:

4th August - Green

Breakfast - 2 weetabix, frozen berries, honey Danio

Lunch - Risotto (rice, mushrooms, mixed peppers, peas, spinach, vegetable stock, Light Philly)

Thank you Kay! I think this is the first time I'm starting to notice the loss when I look in the mirror; my tummy isn't protruding as much, my legs are slimmer and I look like I have a waist for once! Still not sure if I'll end up revising the target down to 10 stone, I'll just see how I feel when I get to 10 st 7lbs.

Pretty much everyone is on holiday at work so the building is really quiet. It's nice because I can actually get on with work without being interrupted. Anyway on to today's food:

Breakfast - 2 weetabix, Shape fat free yogurt, 2 apples

Lunch - Mixed leaves, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, carrot sticks and ham

HEA - 40g low fat grated cheese

After moaning about how quiet it was yesterday, one of my colleagues has moved downstairs to the office next to mine. Lets just say I can hear her annoying "You've got Mail!" alert every time she gets a text message, and it appears she gets a lot. Might have to start wearing headphones again just so I can concentrate. Anywho, on to food today:

Morning everyone, so glad it's Friday! Need to get a move on with a couple of projects today but have no motivation to do any of it! Just popping in to update food for the day:
