Ruby's Starting Over (Again!)

How's your arm darling? Did you have a good weekend? xxxx

How's your arm darling? Did you have a good weekend? xxxx

Arm is still hurting (hence not being around here much). The swelling has gone down but the pain is moving up to my elbow now! Going to make a GP appointment and see what they say.

Weekend didn't get off the greatest of starts: I didn't get that job I interviewed for because they had a candidate that they wanted to promote internally. If they hadn't expressed an interest then I would have definitely got it apparently. Then OH was told that he's going to be out of a job in the new year unless he's willing to relocate. He's not too keen so he's also looking for work now as well. Just got to hope they keep me on here otherwise we're screwed come February.

We did go to the annual cricket club dinner on Saturday night which was rather off plan for me but I did end up winning £160 worth of spa products in the raffle so I'm pleased about that!

Sounds like you had a lovely weekend Jessy in comparison!

Morning everyone! Weighed in this morning and lost 1lb! So happy it wasn't a gain after my off plan saturday night filled with lots of naughty food. Only 4 weeks till we go on holiday and I am determined to get down to 11 stone by then; only 4 lbs to go, and I think 1lb a week is very realistic IF I STICK TO PLAN.

10th November - Extra Easy

Breakfast - Porridge (HEB), blueberries, honey (2 syns)

Lunch - Tuna salad (tuna, mixed leaves, grated carrot, cucumber, cherry tomatoes), pear

Dinner - Cauliflower and bacon macaroni cheese (HEA), mixed leaves

Snacks - Banana, 2 clementines, mini bag of popcorn (4 syns)

Dinner tonight is a Jack Monroe recipe where you grate cauliflower into it and make your sauce using eggs, hence making it syn free if you use the cheese as your HEA and it has added superfree already. No idea if we're going to like it but we're willing to give it a go!

Morning everyone! Cauliflower mac and cheese last night was quite good. Forgot there's milk in the recipe too but all in all one portion it probably ended up being just over 1 HEA. Next time I would probably add some cheese into the "sauce" but other than that we liked it. Having the leftovers for lunch today. Got a busy day at work ahead of me so lets get cracking with the food:

11th November - Extra Easy

Breakfast - 2 bananas, pear

Lunch
- Leftover mac and cheese with mixed leaves (HEA)

Dinner - HM Turkey burger, wholemeal roll (HEB), mixed leaves, cauliflower, mushy peas, SW chips

Snacks - carrot and cucumber sticks, cherry tomatoes, 2 clementines, mini bag of popcorn (4 syns)

Aw honey all digits crossed for you I'm sure it will work out. Winning spa products sounds worth one off plan night to me hehe.

Well done on the loss too you can totally get that 4lb off in 4 weeks

Thanks, I'm already feeling thinner this week and definitely less bloated so we shall see. * week is just round the corner though (isn't it always) so no idea what the scales will say on Monday!

Morning everyone! Had a manic day at work yesterday but managed to get everything done to my deadlines. Feeling very sleepy this morning, must be that hump day feeling:

12th November - Extra Easy

Breakfast
- Banana, pear

Lunch - Leftover turkey burger, wholemeal roll (HEB), coleslaw (2 syns), carrot and cucumber sticks, cherry tomatoes

Dinner - Moussaka with salad

Snacks - 2 clementines, mini bag of popcorn (4 syns)

Need to fit some cheese or milk in somewhere; might put it on the moussaka.

Glad you got everything done on Tuesday :) hope you had a good hump day xxxx

Actually yesterday was a complete and total nightmare but the less said about it the better! Ended up going over my syns slightly but all I had was an extra bag of popcorn and a Chewy D. All in all I think I'm still on track for the week. Hope your hump day was good too.

Morning diary! As previsouly mentionned, yesterday was a right off work wise but my Moussaka was gorgeous! It was a BBC Good Food recipe for "Healthy" moussaka and it was chock full of peppers, lentils, aubergine and meat. Not really an authentic recipe but something I'll definitely make again. Even OH liked it and he usually hates aubergine! Quite excited that I have leftovers for lunch today.

Also, in the post last night we got a thank you card from the couple who's wedding we went to in July; along with a couple of photo's of the two us that were taken on the day. We actually saw them on Saturday night and they both commented on how much weight I've lost since July. Looking back, it's only been 6lbs but you can really see it in my face. Same goofy smile as always (really need to sort that out before the wedding) but I look so much bigger back then. Even OH was surprised by the change.

13th November - Extra Easy

Breakfast
- Porridge (HEB), banana, honey (2 syns)

Lunch - Leftover Moussaka (1/2 HEA)

Dinner - Vegetable curry with rice

Snacks - Banana, 2 clementines, pear, mini bag of popcorn, milk in tea (1/2 HEA)

I don't know what it is about work this week but they aren't giving me reasons to stay! Have had enough of repeating myself ALL THE TIME. Oh well it's FRIDAY so it's the weekend. I'm owed some time so I'm taking the decision to leave at 3pm today. I could leave at 1 if I wanted to but thought that was being a bit too cheeky.

Really looking forward to dinner tonight, it's the one thing that's going to get me through the day!

14th November - Green

Breakfast - Porridge (HEB) with a banana

Lunch - Cucumber and carrot sticks, cherry tomatoes, pear

Dinner - HM Goats cheese and caramalised onion pizza from the fakeaway book (16 syns) with mixed leaves on the side.

Snacks - 2 clementines, banana, Chewy D (HEB)

How was the pizza? How was your weekend? Know the work feeling, we are here to talk about it if you need to xxxx

Thanks Jessy, hopefully by the end of the week I'll be in a better position work wise. Pizza was gorgeous! Even OH loved his! Really satisfied a craving so it may become a regular meal in the rotation. I must admit I tae way more goats cheese than I probably should have but it was so lovely. Weekend was nice and relaxing; watched a lot of disney films and just chilled out with a book yesterday. Hope you had a good weekend also!

Well hello there Monday! You got off to a great start with a 2.5lb loss registering on the scales! Then you made me late for work due a tresspasser on the line at Clapham. Thanks for that.

Yes that's right, I lost 2.5lbs this week! No idea how! That takes me to a 2.5 stone loss now and 1.5lbs away from 11st! I cannot remember weighing this much ever, so I'm going to remain positive during * week and try to not sabbotage myself. 3 weeks today I'll be in Prague and I cannot wait! I fully anticipate having a gain when I get back (can't reisist the gorgeous deserts, cocktails, "Christmas" sausage and "Christmas" bread as the OH puts it) so if I can lose as much as possible before then, I can minimise the overall damage.

Feeling really positive this week; even my horrible 2 hour meeting this morning can't bring me down!

17th November - Extra Easy

Breakfast - Banana, mixed berries (haven't got time to make and eat my porridge)

Lunch - HM Vegetable soup (swede, carrot, chopped tomatoes, spinach, cannelini beans), carrot and cucumber sticks, cherry tomatoes

Dinner - Sausage casserole (3 syns), jacket potato, grated cheese (HEA), mixed veg

Snacks - Pear, 2 clementines, chewy d (HEB)

Hi Ruby, here to sub! Your pizza sounds divine and I'm loving your Monday enthusiasm ;-) well done on the loss! Rosie x

Thanks Rosie, and welcome. I'm not alway so cheery but hey ho that's life. I should say the caramelised onions were a bit of a faff but oh so delicious. Wish I'd made extra so I could chuck them on top of everything I'm eating this week.

I love anything onion-y so I'll definitely give them a go! I don't mind faffy cooking at the weekend or if I'm off..
Just logged on with my laptop and I can see your goals/stats, you're doing really well! Inching close to target now, then the challenge of maintaining arises :-/ how's the wedding planning going? I'm getting married in June eek xx

It's basically chop up a couple of onions and fry them off with some frylite on a low heat for 40 minutes. You need to keep an eye on them so they don't stick to the pan too much. Then just toss in a tablespoon of balsamic vinegar near the end and your done.

Thanks, I keep thinking I might roll my target down to 10 stone (and then while I'm there just make it 9 st 11lbs because that would make me a healthy weight BMI wise. Will just have to see how things go. Definitely need to tone up a bit now though when my hand is better.

Wedding planning is going well, most things are done. Had our invitations sent through to me this morning so now just need to buy some card and get printing! How are your plans going? Will pop over to your diary in a min and subscribe myself!

Sounds good! I can imagine red onions being really good that way..
I think with targets its so hard to know til you're there- I know some people have struggled not to keep losing and if you're eating sensibly I think your body will eventually reach a stage that it likes. My body seems to stop at 10st7lb and getting below is always a struggle. Might not be as difficult if I stuck to plan properly though lol.
That's exciting with the invitations! I loved making mine and giving them out. I'm not very crafty but with the right tools got a good finish.
I think I'm pretty much sorted- going to watch a band at the weekend that we are thinking about booking. Have you got your dress yet or are you waiting til closer to the time? X

Yeah I think I'll know when I'm happy with my size. Still want some curves and want to be toned but other than that, I'm pretty easy with the number of the scales. Sticking to plan is definitely the hard part!

I'm not that creative / crafty even though I wish I was, so we paid someone to design them (about £45) and then we just have to print them ourselves. There isn't any cravy folding involved, just A5 bits of card tied together with some string. We've booked a band but haven't actually seen them live yet. One of my friend's has and loved them so they can't be that bad and they have really really good reviews online. Plus they were well within our budget and they come with a proper DJ as well. I have already bought my dress (and shoes) as I knew what I wanted and I found it for 20% off. It's going to arrive about June next year and it's fairly easy to alter so I'm not too worried about losing even more weight. I take it you have your dress already?
