Sammies mummy and weight watching diary

I felt horrendous, sick, dizzy, the lot and I STILL found it hard to believe those little sticks. Even now, because baby doesn't move loads (or I can't feel it because of the anterior placenta), I still think 'I can't believe there's a baby in there'. I look at my three scan pics and think they must have given me someone else's because how can I be having a baby?! I don't think it'll hit me properly until he/she is here and even then I think I'll be scared to walk out of the hospital in case they think I've pinched it ;) (autocorrect just changed pinched to punched. Definitely don't want to do THAT!! Lol) xx
 
Ach sure I'm 28 weeks, and there is days, usually in the morning just before I get up and see my massive belly that I forget I'm pregnant. I still can't imagine that in approx 10 weeks I'll be taking home my third child. NUTS!!!

1 more week til my scan yay :)
Not feeling great today but soldiering on as best I can .
Went out for a nice meal last night but my god I ate a lot .. I had onion soup.. Vegetable tart and then a very cheeky bread and butter pudding which was amazing . I had magic sw pancakes for brekky and a some snack a jacks and tomatoes for lunch so I think it probably levelled out ok but going to be good today !
Me and bf had a bit of a to do yesterday so have been feeling a bit down in the dumps but think we're ok (ish) now .

Aww.. We all have them.. It'll be fine.. Don't worry yourself..
Night out sends awesome.. We've not had any couple time at all in months.. Can't even remember the last time we were out..
We've had cosy nights in but by couple time I mean out for dinner or drinks or anything.. Even cinema..
 
Wow! Can't believe you're 11 weeks already! It's going quick (for me anyway!) lol x

We don't get a lot of couple time to be honest in always tired and we both worth long hours so it was nice to go out for a change defo recommend date night once a month atleast! Make the most of it whilst its just the two of you lol :)
I know jess it went so slow at the beginning but the last few weeks have flew although I have a feeling at my scan there gonna put my date back a few weeks .. I tracked all the days that we dtd and when we were fertile so I know which days were the best for conceiving and I don't think I can be as far as the date I was given by my last period but who knows ! Il just have to wait and see I'm praying I'm not too much further behind than they have guessed I just want to be in second trimester now !! So impatient lol xx

Well you never know...me and hubby dtd twice the month we conceived and I thought I'd be put behind...but I was actually 3 days ahead lol! It was obviously the first time we dtd a few days before ovulation! Sperm survives for a while doesn't it :) So you never know :)

I totally get the not being able to spend time as a couple thing...my hubby is a police officer and his hours are all over the place. At the moment he is doing 7 days in a row, and whenever he does 7 in a row they are always lates/nights. I rarely see him, not just because of the hours he's working, but when he's home he's asleep most of the time trying to catch up. This week for instance, he has already done x2 5pm - 4am shifts, he did 6pm - 2am last night and now he has x4 10pm - 7am shifts :(

It's rubbish but it's just having to work around it and making the time you DO get together, special :)

I hope you have sorted out your little rift. :) Me and hubby argue loads lol but luckily our arguments are dealt with there and then, once we've had our spat we're fine. I know I've been a nightmare since being preggie too...so so SO emotional and I take everything to heart xxx

We seem to be arguing more and more lately I think we're both just tired and cranky and I can totally relate to the emotional thing .. Mine are all over the place and then when cry he thinks I'm going for the sympathy vote and using pregnancy and hormones as an excuse .. I think it's a bloody good excuse if use ask me though!
Your OHs shifts sound really tough! I
Couldn't imagine sleeping on my own at night when he's on a night a shift but I'm just a wimp I'm sure you get used to it . We moan about them working and not seeing each other but its all money's for the baby bank!

Today I could do with some matchsticks to keep my eyes open !! This dark miserable weather just makes me want to crawl back into bed can't wait to get home to my man tonight for pjs, snuggles and hot choccy! How thrilling my life has become haha!
5 days til my scan eeeek ... I'm excited but also nervous can anyone tell me what to expect like what actually happens at your first scan ? Sorry if its a bit of a stupid question ..

Its not silly at all... They'll just lotza questions about your medical history and families medical history.. They MAY weigh you and take your height.. And do a couple of bloods... Then.. The amazing bit.. You get to hear your baby's heartbeat (i cried) then.. the even more amazing part.. You'll get to see your baby.. (I cried some more) And hopefully they'll give you a couple of pix...
At some (most in fact) they'll date your pregnancy at this scan based on the measurements of baby.. Oh yea they measure him/her too..
Have I mentioned how amazing it is???

I have my 20 week scan in 12 days (when i'll be 22 weeks!!) I am so nervous and scared and excited all at once..

Aww bless you, this horrible dull weather really doesn't help with tiredness i feel really sleepy today so you aren't alone!

At my 12 week scan she didn't really ask anything - apart from confirm my name and DOB (i'd had my booking appointment prior to the scan so we'd already done all the medical history, weighing etc) We went in the room and she found the baby (i think she obviously did a quick check to make sure there was a heartbeat before pointing anything out and some of my friends they turned the screen away from them initially) once she found baby, she pointed out the heart beat and other bits and pieces, did a few measurements of length and then the fluid at the back of the neck, pointed out the legs, arms etc. Most of my scan was spent trying to get the baby to turn over, but it was having none of it so in the end she gave up.

I found it amazing to see the baby kicking and not being able to feel it but it was lovely seeing it and knowing it was growing as it should! :) Enjoy your scan it's lovely getting a glimpse of whats happening inside you :)

I've already had quite a thorough chat with the midwife about all my family history etc so hopefully it will just be all the baby measuring etc
If the appointment is over quite quickly then might for a cheeky lunch with my bf as I've told my employer I will need atleast 2 hours for my 'hospital appointment' (haven't told her about the pregnancy yet as want to wait til everything is confirmed and we know baby's healthy. )
I know that's a bit naughty but we get so little time together and he's booked the whole day off so well see how we are doing for time and if there's time left we may even just pop back home and have Half an hour together before I go back to work.
 
I don't blame you. We always go out for dinner on a baby day. And it'll be nice for you both to go out and look at your pics and talk about your baby. Sod work for an hour or so!! The scan really is amazing. At all mine the first thing they said is "There's a heartbeat", I think more so we don't worry than anything. Then they did all the scanning and measuring then turned the screen round to show us baby. We didn't get to hear the heartbeat until our midwife appointment at 16 weeks. Am excited for you. We've had al our scans so we're booking a 3d one for the end of the month hopefully :)

Going out for lunch sounds like a great idea - you can always tell your work the hospital were running late if you are a bit over your 2 hours! ;) Mike and i went for dinner after our 12 week scan and it was lovely just chatting about things and not having to do any of the washing up or cooking and just enjoy the time together discussing baby stuff! :)

Kim I think I probably will do that I know its a bit naughty but like you ( and Sarah ) said it will be nice to have some time to look at the pics together and talk baby stuff ... Plus if we are passed the 12 week mark ( figers crossed!) it means we can finally tell everyone yippee !

It's Friday woohoooo ! Can you tell I'm excited lol!
It had been a super long week at work - after today I will have worked 50 hours so I am SO excited for a huge lie in tomorrow and some quality time with the bf .. Roll on 5.30 today !
Eating has been really bad lately .. I tend to eat really healthy during the day but then I get home and bf keeps bringing chocolate and crisps home .. As much as I appreciate him going to the effort I really need to reign it in now and be healthier so we agreed after last night that we are both going to eat healthier at night time .
 
Good luck for today!! Hope everything goes well and you manage to squeeze in a yummy lunch together! look forward to hearing all about it :)
