Sandra's maintenance diary.....

Something odd going on with me......not that I'm complaining.....but I'm down another lb this morning and actually 10st 13lbs !!!!!! My scales don't record the fractions if the lb figure is in double digits so I could only really be a half a lb down bit in any event it's deffo 10 13 .....anyway I know what I mean!

Thing is....I just can't stop peeing, tmi I know, but what's that all about? I'm getting up two or three times in the last couple of nights and in the loo all day long:eek: it's like someone's turned on a bloody tap.....I haven't changed my diet, the only meds that I'm taking are HRT and my iron supplement and the only thing a wee bit different is that I've upped the exercise this week.....it's clearly affecting the scales?

Any ideas? As I said I'm not complaining but even Paul said when I got out of bed this morning that I didn't need to lose any more, he'd lost 4lbs from his weeks skiing, that's despite probably eating a million calories a day!
 
Oh well done on the other 1lb off Sandra - sorry I cant help with the reasoning behind your weeing. The only thing I can think of is that you may have a urine infection.
 
Don't think so cos I've had them before, got no pain or anything and actually need to go rather than just the urge and then nothing like when you get cystitis .....still I did enjoy seeing those scales move!
 
Well maybe it is just from the extra exercise - If you are not having any pain or burning, I would just leave it for a few days to see how it goes.

Oh yes, great to see those pesky scales move eh!
 
Today's food....

B actimel, porridge made half and half
L large salad, lettuce, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, baby beetroot, celery and garlic and parsley king prawns
Snack 2 slices of M&S hot cross loaf, elf spread
D home-made pea and ham soup, 2 small crusts from a granary loaf
Hot choc later

Total 1303 ie 103 over my target. Didn't exercise today cos didn't feel like it and, of course, hadn't seen Paul for a week.....however he's got man flu and being a really grumpy guts!

Has anyone else tried the hot cross loaf? Only 105 calories for a lovely thick slice which fits perfectly in the toaster! Trouble is my toaster demands 2 slices:sigh: this could be my new snack of choice and it makes the kitchen smell wonderful.....dunno how the calories compare to an actual hot cross bun?
 
Usually p'ing lots would be cutting drastically back on carbs but you haven't done that particularly as far as i can see. But don't knock it girl ;) Long may it continue! xx
 
I've looked back on mfp and I'm always under on the carbs but not hugely so. No I can't explain it.......so gonna give up trying! Probably be back up tomorrow:sigh:

hey hun, sorry this is one of the other diaries i stalk as you've done sooo well
Lettuce, parsley, garlic, cucumber and celery are all supposed to be diuretics.. maybe thats why? :) xx

Seriously, I never thought about what I was eating, can't think offhand how often I've had salad this week, I just bought a lot of cheap prawns at M&S and was trying to avoid bread cos of the carbs. Will now make a conscious effort to keep munching salad, not only do I love it but you get loads for bugger all calories:D

God he's a miserable git when he's poorly! Wanted to do the M&S Valentines meal tonight but when I went on the way home from the gym it wasn't on any more! Sold out on Saturday......can't believe that they weren't re-stocking for today:sigh:

Well, was back to 11st this morning, so the freaky extra lb off from yesterday was just that, freaky! Still, I'm thrilled to be 11st......next for the 10's.......

Fantastic workout this morning, came out totally dripping sweat, brilliant to be able to work out that hard again:D hoping that it stays fine as I need to do some gardening......
 
Awww bummer about the meal but fab news about the workout!
Re Paul - stick a cup of lemsip on a tray with a flower - and tell him to put up, shut up and get over himself lol xxx

Thx Tan, this is the best that I've felt for years!

So, had my lunch, changed the bed, put some washing on, fed the birds, put my wellies on and .......pissing down with rain and hail! So logged on here instead:D

I can't wait to be in the 10's, was so excited yesterday but I just knew that it was a fluke so I didn't record it! When I stay the same for a couple of days at a lower weight then I know it's for 'real'! Cant be long now.......
 
I'm sure it won't be long hon :) I'm terrified my loss today was a fluke - I'm not going near the scales for several days!!

Bummer about the meal deal - could you not have put one together yourself? Okay it wouldn't be discounted but still be nice :D xx
 
We shall see.......

I've bought some really nice steaks and will still do a nice dinner, but probably not 3 courses......don't think he's up to much romance though:mad: honestly the bloody fuss that he's making about a cold, I can't imagine what he'd be like if he had a real illness:eek: I'd have to send him to his mother's!
 
No our's is just 2 courses ... WELL IF you don't count the li'l box of seashells ;) only 6 in it though ... hope you manage to enjoy despite the moans, groans and sniffles ;) xx

Just read how many calories were in your 'just' two courses......:eek:

Today's food

B actimel, branflakes and milk
L 100g lean ham, mixed salad, lettuce, celery, cucumber, cherry toms and beetroot, lf French dressing. An apple
Snack 2 finger kitkat
D M&S sirloin steak with dried red and green peppers and seasoned butter, mixed salad as for lunch. I did chips for Paul but decided against having any and had another salad instead. Count on us chocolate mousse, got Paul a proper pudding and, again, tried to avoid eating any:D
Will have a hot choc later, maybe a couple of the chocolate hearts that I
bought for US! Didn't have the hearts but had a square of Dairy Milk

Total 1,398, net after exercise 1129
