Hey we got a like button

Got back last night and the trip was uneventful but this morning it was very foggy and the ferry back from France hit a fishing boat and killed a French fisherman.....can't believe it, so awful for the poor man and his family. I always worry when it's bad like that and we're out on our own boat cos the radar is ok but the ferries are bloody fast and seem to come out of nowhere!

So......OMG am I nervous or what? You're dead right Ness, I was up on the scales this morning, obviously as I've been in France all weekend, so had a shake and a bar do far. Did 60 minutes on the treadmill and another 5 hours in the garden here! Just come in and I'm knackered. I so want to look good next week cos I'm going in at the top and the only female director on the board and it's been so long since I worked and I don't want anyone to know how I'll I've been in recent years unless I choose to tell
them:sigh: so got to pick out a week's worth of working wardrobe which is another dilemma! Don't know if it's the sort of place where I need to wear a suit or if I can wear a dress and a cardi?? Only met two guys at my interviews and obviously they were suited n booted! Sorry am waffling, be back soon......

So you're starting the job soon then Sandra - now forgive me for having a poo memory but which one was this? The one with the royals or the one with the hunky interviewer ? Where are you going to be working? Will you have to be a way from home?

I'm sorry if I've missed these points in trying to catch up and I'm sorry if I'm being too nosey - just tell me to mind my own business! xx

Course you're not being nosey! If there was something that i didn't want anybody to know or I didn't want to discuss, then I wouldn't post it! .......anyway.....it's the one with the hunky boss!!! I start on monday and I'll be based in Jersey but with regular travel to the UK and probably Geneva where we have
another office. My boss rang me for a chat yesterday, which was nice of him, and To tell me how the staff had taken the news that they're getting a new boss hopefully they'll be ok.......

Today's food....

B Slimfast shake
L large mixed salad, garlic king prawns, a pear
Snack 2 finger kit kat
D spinach and ricotta ravioli with tomato and basil sauce, lf yogurt
Hot choc

Total 1449 calories. 949 net after exercise

2000 calories, 1564 net after exercise......so well over today, eaten a lot and had 2 glasses of SB......did over 4 hours of gardening though so I suppose that must use calories too wonder if gardening is on mfp??

Of course gardening will be on there, and if not, just find some sort of exercise which is similar Sandra. I wouldnt worry about the calories you have consumed today against the gardening effort......I would say, well done. You are doing brilliant.

Are you getting nervous about starting work on Monday yet? I will be in bed, as I am nights Sat and Sun, but will think about you starting your first shift as I crawl into bed exhausted after a 12 hour nightshift.

Thx Mary, I'm very nervous but excited too! It's going to be quite a challenge turning the company around but I did it with the last one and ended up owning it! Don't want to go that far this time, I just want a rewarding job for the next five years or so until we retire! That's the plan anyway.....smart working wardrobe is all lined up in my dressing room ready to go, it's gonna be weird dressing up again every day, blow drying my hair and putting a face on......I've lived in trackies for the past two years and only put make up on to go out!

Just got up! Got a raging hangover, no idea how many calories yesterday......several vodkas, a whole bottle of SB and now have to go out for lunch for Mother's Day! Don't feel like eating or drinking anything! At least it will stop me worrying about tomorrow!

Thx Thomasina......just got back, had a lovely lunch, had the cold buffet starter as a main and passed on the roasts......had loads of cold meats and salmon and prawns etc and lots of salad. Did have a skinny slice of cheesecake and a spoonful of trifle though! Had diet coke and fizzy water, would normally have had a bottle of wine but still feeling a wee bit delicate!

Very weird......just been trying on some shoes for work and several pairs are too bloody big! My feet have definitely shrunk since I lost weight and I hadn't realised how much! My sister gave me some boots this week which are a size 3 and they fitted fine but I usually take a 3 1/2 to 4, never gave it a thought. Now need to go and buy loads of new shoes, oh dear what a shame. LK Bennett in my lunch hour tomorrow I think!

Hope everybody else is having a lovely Mother's Day, Paul's mum was lovely and bought me an orchid and a card and signed it from Dylan my cat

I lost weight on my feet too Sandra when I lost my weight, its surprising. I even had to take my rings to have them made a few sizes smaller, as they were literally falling off my fingers.

Awww nice touch of your MIL with the card from Dylan.
