sarah's simply filling food diary

I think that if you feel that a day off at the weekend will help you stick to plan all week then go for it. It should always be about making the eating plan work for you and it does seem to be weekends that you find the most difficult.

You and Purpled are making me feel very lazy with all this Insanity business! I must remember to have a look at the fit test on youtube. I don't know anyone with the dvds and wouldn't pay for them myself so I know I won't do it myself but I am a little intrigued.

EBay have a listing for the insanity DVD for £29.00 and £8 postage! Yeah thought I'd try the insanity as my brother in laws mate at work does it and he's 65! If he can do it I'm sure I can, u just go at ur own pace and do what u can !

Yeah, I guess with everything you can go at your own pace. In some ways thats the advantage of doing things at home. Good luck with it! I am tempted by it but know I wouldn't be able to do that and keep up with the gym stuff I do so think its more sensible to stick with the gym as I am already enjoying that (and paying for it!).

Perhaps when u get board of the gym u can stop going and buy the DVD insted

I am signed up for a year so hoping I won't get bored of going! But I might think about doing something like that when I am out of contract with it as I do pay alot for my gym membership but i really really like it there so reckon its probably worthwhile overall.

Oh I thought u had a month to month payment where u only commit to a month at a time? Agh bum!

I loved the gym when I was in too. Quite expensive but there are worse things to spend money on :)
I plan on joining back when the mortgage has been signed n sealed. Don't want the bank seeing extra outgoings before then n hopefully won't b waiting too long.
Tho I did doing the Gillian Michaels DVDm at home. N it's cheaper :)
Why not download it n save the money???

I had that option but went for the year contract as it worked out alot cheaper. I am pretty happy I went for that option to be honest. I like my gym and enjoy going so I find it kind of comforting that I am signed up to it until next May (if I lose my job or have an injury or anything like that I can cancel). Its works out about £13 a week and to be honest that's just the money I used to spend on alcohol in a week a few years ago.

Ouch! £13 a wk! Didn't realise it cost that much for gym.

U could download insanity but I reckon it will cost a fair bit in downloads! It's like 8 or 13 disks long

They aren't all that expensive, alot are much cheaper. But mine includes lots of other stuff like the psychio, the nutritionist and the full health MOTs every 3 months and its got more and better facilities than the cheap ones. And its the one closest to home which was also an important factor. At the moment I don't begrudge the money at all.

I'd do it on my memory box but u cud do it a memory stick??

Not sure, its not something i would use anyway so never checked. They do have a beauty suite and if you improve your health score over 3 months you get either a month free membership or a free beauty session so there are some advantages!

That sounds good! U could get a massage!!

Downloading stuff on laptop and watching on tv confuses me :/ I don't think I am technical enough for that sort of thing...

Anything I will bear it in mind for next year when my gym contract is up as an option if I don't want to carry on with it.

Ha ha. My brothers a bit of a gadget geek so he talks me thru things a million times til it sinks in.
We bought a media box so we download movies, save them on that, then plug the media box in the tv n watch it :) It's just like playing on a DVD player :). N the movies are all stored there instead of havin a million DVD boxes (tho I do prefer to browse thru DVD covers)

That is a good incentive!
