Sarah's Slimming World Diary!

I hate having periods so regularly skip then with my pill. Would try the implant if I thought I wouldn't have periods, maybe ill have s word. Would be strange for them to just arrive for me, used to planning them in.

And your probably really run down, when I get run down my tonsils flare up and I get cold sores. Yours is probably the same with the kidneys, because the tonsils are the body's first indicator that there's something wrong. Hope u aren't suffering too much Hun, have an afternoon nap. Feel better soon xx

Could be just run down - have been working so hard recently. Made sure I took last night off though, just to relax. Seemed to have a dodgy tummy too though earlier!

I had a lovely breakfast - a massive one! Bacon, eggs, beans, toast, mushrooms, onions and spinach! Used 4 syns on spread though as wanted some on my toast and I like to cook my mushrooms in it - I find they taste much nicer in butter than Fry Light - use Fry Light for everything else though.

I said to myself on Monday after WI that I would try not to weigh myself at home again and just use the SW scales - broke that this morning - I was intrigued! Looks good so far!

Today has been good for food.

B: Activia yoghurt (f), banana (sf), raspberries (sf)
S: Alpen Light (1/2 HExB1)
L: Bread roll (HExB2), spread (1 syn), mushrooms (sf), with spread (2 syns), salad (sf), tomatoes (sf), onions (sf), cucumber (sf), cheese (HExA1), egg (f), bacon (f), yoghurt (f)
D: lettuce (sf - this was meant to act as a wrap for my fajitas but didn't really work!), mushrooms (sf), green beans (sf), carrots (sf), chicken (f), tomatoes (sf), garlic (f), cheese (HExA2)
S: Alpen Light (1/2HExB1)

Quite happy with that as a day. Wwnt to school for a bit today which was fun and broke up my dissertation writing a bit. I;ve been working on the dissertaion since getting in and it's really coming together now - quite happy with it.

Dave is coming to see me tomorrow - said he only would if I managed to get a fair bit of my diss done and I have, so yay! Great motivation! He is coming in the evening so I need to cook some dinner for us. Not sure what to make but want to do something SW friendly, but tasty for him. I have chicken to use so something with that probably.

Then need to make sure I have something nice for him for breakfast, but SW for me. Same for lunch. Then he will go home fir dinner. As nice as it is having him here, I feel bad that he has to have my boring SW food. Would rather he had something he really wanted - he needs to put on weight!

He'll be here on Sunday til dinner so think I will suggest a walk - he is always up for that, and it means a good bit of body magic the day before WI. Should be sunny too hopefully!

Plan for today is:

B: 60g All Brunch Golden Crunch (HExA and HExB), banana (sf), raspberries (sf)
L: jacket potato (f), with beans (f), cheese (HExA), salad (sf), cucumber (sf), onion (sf) and tomatoes (sf)
D: chicken (f), stuffed with Philadelphia light (HExA) and wrapped in bacon (f), with broccoli (sf), cauliflower (sf), carrots (sf), green beans (sf) and mushrooms (sf), crispy potato slices (not sure!). Mars ice cream (7 syns)

An ok day... I bought the cereal this morning and was shocked at the pathetic serving you get for one HExB so had both of mine. Regretting it now as it makes lunch tricky.

Today will be healthy eating but not necessarily sticking totally to SW as dave is here - same with tomorrow. Whilst I think SW is great, I find it harder to do when he is here as I have to think about him too. So, not too fussed if I go slightly over.

Will go for a long walk tomorrow :)

Did you ever try calorie counting? If so, which have you found easier, calorie counting or SW?

How are the plans going for you and Dave getting a place?

Yeah I think the calorie counting board was where I 'met' you! I started at 17stone 13lb and calorie counted down to about where I am now, then put on a bit, and have now got back to here! I like calorie counting and it works, but I think slimming world is more suited to me as you rarely weigh things - only for syns and healthy extras. And Slimming World works and helps you to make good choices. Definitely prefer it I think, but can see why people calorie count. I definitely prefer this to something like WW.

So, today has been good - not for food though!

Went into school first thing to work with a boy with SEN. He is so sweet, and I've been working with him for a while now as part of an assignment. Then came home, did some dissertation work and then had WI - lost 3lb. Wooo! So, I am back to where I was before I started gaining. Just need to lose 1.5lb to get my Club 10 award!

Had what I wanted to eat this afternoon, and have such a clear head ready to have a good week. Also finished my dissertation!!! Well... just need people to check it for me, then it is ready - can't believe I finally got to this point!

Have another 3 assignments due in, all one week after the next, but I am two weeks ahead of myself now so can relax slightly!

Oh, and in terms of me and Dave getting a place.... not sure when to start looking properly really! He breaks up from school on 19th July or something, so can't move in until then. But we go to Amsterdam from 22-25th July. I have to be out of my uni house on 31st July, so hoping we can move in somewhere in that week. Which I guess means looking for somewhere at the beginning of July - so still have a little while before we properly look. We occasionally look at what sort of things are available currently, just to get an idea of what sort of thing we can get! So exciting!

I thought so but wasn't sure! I'm trying to decide between calorie counting and SW, not sure at the moment.

3lb? Fantastic, well done!! And fab news about the dissertation too, it's such a relief to get it out of the way isn't it.

Oh yeah, such a relief!

I reckon SW is better than CC for me. I like that there are certain foods that are free/superfree. With CC, if I want crisps I would have them instead of, say, a banana. On SW, I will have the banana as it's free, and the crisps if I really want to spend syns on them - it just makes me think healthier!

Today's been good.

B: yoghurt (f), banana (sf), raspberries (sf), Alpen Light (1/2 HExB)
L: spaghetti (f) with carrots (sf), green beans (sf), tomatoes (sf), onions (sf), peppers (sf) and Philadelphia Light with Garlic and Herbs (HExA), yoghurt (f), Alpen Light (1/2 HExB)
D: potato (f), butter (2.5 syns), beans (f), chicken (f), Mars ice cream (7 syns)
E: 1 hour of Zumba

Have had a really crappy day. Just work stuff - they sent me home as I was upset. Wanted to get some work done whilst I was home but haven't been able to concentrate. Am pleased with myself for not turning to food for the stress!

B: 2 x sausages (1 syn), beans (f), mushrooms (sf), butter (2 syns), 2 x eggs (f), 2 x bacon (f)
L: sandwich with bread (HExB), ham (f), mayo (0.5 syns), salad (sf), tomatoes (sf), cucumber (sf), spring onion (sf), Wotsits (5 syns), yoghurt (f)
D: chicken breast (f), stuffed with Philadelphia Light (HExA), wrapped in bacon (f).

I think the day is turning out to be a red one - I was going to have some sort of potato for dinner with my chicken but reckon I could have something else, and then get an extra HExA and HExB. Just going to pop it into the online thing to see if I'm right. Really feel like I want another HExB but don't want to use syns.

14.5 is ok though, you're allowed 15. Is everything ok? If you want to talk about what's upset you, you know where I am.

Ah thank you, yeah everything is fine, I've calmed down a lot now!

As part of my job we have to do CRB checks for people. People have to send in their passports, driving licenses etc, and I am copying and returning them. I have to do this over 2000 times. Sending back about 50 a day at the moment. It takes forever! I am known at work for being ver careful and never makin mistakes, but I happened to send someone's documents to a man with the same name (not sure how as I am so overly careful with everything!)

The guy who I sent it to by accident, whose ID it wasn't, went to the papers about it rather than back to us (I think a strange thing to do!!) so I was just so embarrassed that I had a made a mistake (when at work I never do!) and that it happened to be to someone who would go the the papers! Luckily my name wasnt mentioned but I just felt horrible about it.

Over it now - quite funny in a way that there is a girl in the office who is rubbish at her job, makes mistakes everyday and is known for it. Whereas I'm known for being the overly careful one, and the one mistake I have made in 1.5 years ends up in the papers and BBC News!!

Food today is going to be good I think. I'm planning a red day - the first time I'm doing this!

B: sausages (1 syn), scrambled eggs (f), mushrooms (sf), butter (1 syn), banana (sf)

L: sandwich with bread (HExB1), cheese (HExA1), ham (f), salad (f), spring onion (sf), cucumber (sf). Tomatoes (sf), yoghurt (f).

D: chicken (f), wrapped in bacon (f), stuffed with Philadelphia (HExA2), with mushrooms (sf)

S: HiFi Deluxe peanut bar (HExB2)

E: one hour of Zumba

A good day I think. Tomorrow I have the day of so think ill have an extra easy day, because ill have more options for lunch at home.

Oh Hun, that is so ****!! Can't believe people can be so bloody awful!! When I was sorting out uni stuff they sent me was for another girl with the same name, I just rang them and told them. I would never have dreamed of going to the press. What an odd thought process!
Can see why you were getting upset tho Hun, but if you never make mistakes, all the people you work with, will get that.
Food is back on track tho which is fab Hun :)
might find red days help me lose weight. I don't do them that often as I love my pasta and carbs generally. But I think it helps kick start me, hopefully it will for you too Hun xxxx

Exactly... I think it's so strange that his first thought is the papers! He had a proper photo of him holding the documents too - he clearly needs some attention in his life - it's sad!

Everyone at work has been so lovely about it.

Yeah today's red day has been good, but I think that's because I had time for a big breakfast, and only wanted a small dinner as had been to zumba. Think ill try more green days and use quorn more as I actually quite like it.
