Sarah's Slimming World Diary!

It's still a loss, try not to get disheartened by it. What's success express?

You said you weighed later Hun. And your meals have been odd because of school, it could literally be that. How are your scales this morning? I can normally only do one success express I find I get hungry by day 2, but maybe I'm not eating enough on it. I follow a lady on fb that did a whole week of it. Plus you get your hex's which could work well.
Good luck Hun, I'm sure it's just a funny blip and you'll get a good loss next week xxxxc

I'm not weighing this morning and am going to try my hardest not to weigh until group!

Success Express is where 2/3 of your meals must be superfree (fruit/veg). And you snack on only free foods. can have two HExA and two HexB too. Won't be doing it every day but will try my hardest.

Today's plan was :

B: banana (sf), raspberries (sf), blueberries (sf), yoghurt (f)
L: carrot (sf) and butternut squash (sf) soup, with bread (HExB1), grapes (sf), tomatoes (sf), Rocky biscuit (5.5 syns) and half syn roulade with raspberries (sf).

S: Alpen Light (1/2 HExB2)

D: chicken (f), stuffed with Philadelphia (HExA1), and wrapped in bacon (f), mushrooms (sf), carrots (sf), leeks (sf), baked beans (f), sweet potato chips (f), roulade and berries (sf)

All sounds pretty good to me!

Today's been good for food. Really hoping I can make it through to next WI without a bad day! I think I am going to change WI to a Thursday instead of a Monday. I find I sabotage the diet on weekends - just because I get bored, or have social events. Monday WI is good in a way as it means I try to be good all weekend. But I think the pressure of having to be good all weekend makes me panic and go the other way!

Today...

B: banana, raspberries, blueberries (sf), Alpen Light (1/2 HExB1)
L: soup (sf), bread (HExB2), tomatoes (sf), grapes (sf), rocky (5.5 syns), Alpen Light (1/2 HExB1)
D: egg fried rice (f) with onion, green beans, carrots, mushrooms (sf). yoghurt (f), meringue (2.5 syns) and blueberries (sf)

May have another Rocky later which will take me to 13.5 syns. Another good day I think. Haven't had my HExA yet so may have that later.

So pleased with myself this morning. Got up and walked to uni to collect an assignment. Got a 2:1 for that so quite pleased with that. Want a 1st, but my assignment writing skills aren't great so I need to be realistic!

Then walked to the swimming pool, 30 mins uphill, then swam - only for 25 mins but managed 40 lengths without stopping! That's my aim... Swim as far as I can without stopping and jst keep improving on it. I thought I would only manage 10 lengths, so I am pleased with 40!

Then walked 30 mins back home. So have walked 70 mins already today and swum 40 lengths!

So pleased with today. So much exercise! 90 mins walking altogether and the 25 min swim - swim doesn't sound like much but it was non-stop (absolutely not even a stop at the end of the pool!) and frontcrawl. Apparently that is 325 calories which is great for 25 mins. Plus the walking.

Food has been good today. Really pleased with how things are going. Haven't weighed myself still. Really going to try to stick with that! This weekend is hopefully going to be OK. Tomorrow and Saturday I am just doing uni work. This means I may snack! Going to try my hardest and just snack on fruit etc.

Dave is taking me out for dinner on Saturday night as a well done for finishing my dissertation - bless him! Will have what I fancy then.

Sunday and Monday we are going swimming training - will do at least what I did today.

Think I am going to weigh on Thursday rather than Monday - it is closer to me, and further away from the weekend which seems to be my trouble time.

I've bought some new trainers which arrived today so might go for a walk tomorrow to try those out. Also got new goggles today, and joined the uni gym! Such a healthy day!

The gym is a special offer for the next 3 months as most students will be leaving soon, but I have a job at the uni so will be hanging around. Going to go to a couple of classes and may start the gym once all the students have gone.

Just using this as a quick diary for today, as I don't seem to have a plan!

B: 2 x bacon (f), 2 x eggs (f), 2 x toast (HExB), spread (1.5 syns), Muller yoghurt (f) - not a great breakfast as no superfree!
L: egg fried rice - rice (f), egg (f), green beans (sf), carrots (sf), onions (sf), mushrooms (sf), garlic (sf), soy sauce (f), 1tbsp peanut butter (4.5 syns) - bit better with a good amount of superfree.
D: egg fried rice - rice (f), egg (f), green beans (sf), carrots (sf), onions (sf), mushrooms (sf), garlic (sf), soy sauce (f), 1tbsp peanut butter (4.5 syns) - not great to have this twice in a day! Well, it is fine - just should be a bit different with my meals. But I need to use it up or the chicken will go off.

That makes 10.5 syns for the day. I will have fruit as snacks and I have my cheese to have at some point. I've made some Muller Light ice lollies too so will see if they ahve worked!

Stayed pretty much to plan yesterday. Ended up going out for a drink. Everyone bought a jug of cocktails and a cider each - I bought one drink! Really pleased with myself... Really wanted more. But... I feel so hungover! It's strange... We stayed out til 11:30, but stayed up til Bout 1:30. They were all smoking which I'm not usually around. My legs felt really shaky the whole night, and towards the end my kidneys started to ache (I get kidney infections a lot). I finished my drink at about 8:30, and by 1am I felt more drunk than anyone else and I wasn't drinking!

This morning I have a horrible headache and really achy kidneys. All from one double drink?! So strange.

Got in and was starving so had a hifi and some cereal - bot good but not awful either.

I've made some muller light ice lollies - really recommend those - delicious!

I just made the most amazing dinner! Made risotto over the weekend and fancied that again but didnt have any risotto rice. Ran out of normal rice too. So I used pasta... And made it like risotto!

So I cooked off onion and garlic and then added pasta. Added 500ml of veg stock. Stirred for ages. In a separate pan I cooked mushrooms and chicken. And in another pan I boiled some sweet potato chunks.

Added all together and it made the pasta really creamy - without using any creamy sauce! Amazing!

Planning for tomorrow...

B: banana (sf), peanut butter (4.5 syns)
S: HiFi bar (HExB)
L: pasta (f), chicken (f), mushrooms (sf), onion (sf), garlic (sf), vegetable stock (f), cheese (1/2 HExA)
D: same as lunch and other half of HExA

E: swimming! Going to aim for at least 60 lengths without stopping. Hoping I can do more. Want to aim for 80 ideally, all front crawl. If not, then 80 with a break at 60 for some breast stroke.

Just bought myself an underwater mp3 player and hoping that will motivate me as I won't get so bored swimming!
