Thanks Jess! I thought I had better otherwise I know what I'm like, I would have found an excuse not to do it. Have told my parents and a few people at work so definitely no backing out now!

Fast day is going really well actually - I've hardly felt hungry at all. Only had my jelly and soup so far, but about to have a few raspberries. It's amazing what a difference drinking enough water makes!

Is anyone else MASSIVELY struggling being back at work? Thankfully I've got another hour then it's our department meeting. After that I'm home to The Farrell, some yummy homemade dhal and the rest of The Walking Dead season 3! xx

Yep! But it's now home time! Yay :) xxxx

Morning lovely ladies! I'm feeling decidedly grumpy being back at my desk today. Especially as we have a department meeting at 4pm so I'm going to be late home. Grr... The festivities seemed to be over so fast this year - I would have loved to have a bit more time off. But never mind, onwards and upwards. We've got two full work weeks to get through and then two nice 4-day weeks with Bruges sandwiched in the middle. Super-excited about that! So, it was official WI this morning (Mondays definitely work better for me) and the scales gave me 11.1, which is still grim, but a good little dent, and makes me determined to get back in the tens by this time next week. Today is also Day 1 of my 14 week 10k plan. Having had chats with some of my running friends over the weekend (and the lovely Jess), I think I've been a bit tough on myself with how many miles/KM's I'm expecting to do. I've got 14 whole weeks so I don't need to achieve the whole distance in just a few! So I'm going to take another look and focus on just getting out there and running three times a week, rather than expecting myself to be running solidly for an hour straight away! My quads are feeling a bit tight after yesterday's run, but I'm looking forward to tomorrow's, despite the fact it's going to mean a 5.30am alarm!! Kicking off the week with a good ol' fast day, which is shaping up to consist of: FF yog (80) Raspberries (15) SF jelly (10) Homemade onion soup (80) Red lentil dhal with cauli rice (140 & 50) Three rich tea biccies (110) Total - 485 Hope everyone's Mondays fly by!! xxx

Ooh your Dahl & soup sound nice.. Could you share the recipe :)

I really struggled, I hadn't been in since Xmas eve. It was really busy and after a migraine wiped me out yesterday I just wasn't feeling the love lol x

Hey sweety, Dave made the soup while I was out so I'm not sure about that but the dhal was very easy.

Take approx 50g dried red lentils per person and boil until almost soft (keep adding more water to stop them boiling dry). In a small frying pan dry fry some spices (I used coriander, cumin, turmeric, garlic powder, chilli powder) and add to the lentils for their last few mins. Serve with cauli rice :) x

Awe thanks hunni.. Like to find ideas for fast days x

Morning loves!

Meeting was slightly surreal, Ging! Our MD came down, supposedly for a 'start of the year motivational nonsense' type session, but it didn't really come across like that. Maybe we were all just a bit sleepy by 4pm! At least my tummy didn't rumble too loudly and I wasn't too late home for dhal and several episodes of The Walking Dead!

Fast Day was smashed and I just about managed my run this morning! I really didn't like running in the dark very much - I didn't dare put my headphones in until I was on the main road! My legs were really tight from Sunday too - I had followed a runners stretching routine on YouTube but perhaps it wasn't enough? Might try and do a bit of pilates or something tonight to stretch my quads and calves out otherwise I think stairs might be an issue tomorrow!

EE food day today:
B - Overnight oats (1/2 HEXB) with raspberries
L - Feta (HEXA) and ham salad
D - Pork mince with noodles (Ken Hom stylee! With mushrooms, spring onions and pak choi)
Snacks - 1/2 syn jelly, a handful of roasted chickpeas (I know this is a tweak, but it's better than a packet of crisps and I haven't got any carbs with lunch!)

Hope you gorgeous ones have super Tuesdays!

Hello Sarah, :wavey:

Oooohhh how do you do the overnight oats? I need to find new things for breakfast.
Sounds like you've got the running bug :whacky068:
I need to get my backside back to the gym.

Hey lovely,

Overnight oats are super simple, you just have to remember to prep them (which I nearly didn't last night!)

You'll just need a runny-ish yoghurt (think Muller Light consistency), some fruit and oats.

In a glass, a jar or a small tupperware (depending if you'll be eating them at home or on the go/at work). Pop some fruit in the bottom of the glass (I really like raspberries - they can be fresh or frozen), then pour over a layer of yoghurt. Then add a layer of oats - I use 1/2 my HEXB portion. If you want to use your whole HEXB, you can then add more yoghurt and then more oats. Make sure you finish with yoghurt and add a little more fruit on top. Keep them in the fridge overnight and they will be all yummy by the morning!

xx

Thanks Pip - that's what I figure :)

Yep, dance class starts tomorrow. Really not sure how my mum is going to handle learning the steps as she's not particularly co-ordinated, bless her. But it will be lovely to spend some time together learning somehting new - looking forward to it! Shame we couldn't get my Dad and Dave to come too, but Dad is still in a sling after his operation so he's counted out so that let Dave off the hook too! xx

I set my alarm for 6am to go for a run too... I kept snoozing until 7.30am - faillllll!!! I'll get out later for a few miles though. I'm actually not allowing myself to go to bed until I've done exercise now! It's the rule!

Dinner sounds lovely, I hardly ever have unprocessed pork unless it's pulled. I really need to start being more adventurous! x

You're the exercise queen! I'm sure it won't take long for your motivation to come back properly! I tried running after work in the summer but my body just felt so much heavier - I couldn't do it! I'm definitely a morning person!

The pork mince recipe is yum! Will take a pic of the page in the cook book for you if you fancy it?

This made me laugh aloud!!

I have some pork in the freezer. I might goulash it (minus the dumplings, of course!) x

Ooooh yes please! I like the challenge now of trying to tweak things for sugar free too!! I think rice noodles are ok for me, must check that! x
