Scrumbles' diary...life after losing a third of me...

Goat's go-nads! :D

Another 2 miles knocked off this morning so I'm nearly two-thirds of the way to target. Getting rather bored with doing the same routes over and over, though. I always have my music with me, but even so, that can only distract me so much. Maybe I should invest in audio books or something.

Thought I'd have a bit of a change from eggs for breakfast, so I had tinned salmon salad. Not quite sure that my taste buds appreciated it first thing in the morning (!), but I got it down and I haven't been hungry since, so it's all good. I only ate half of it, so I'll have the rest for a small, late lunch. Snack material will be 11g 85% choc and 50g Edam, and dinner is going to be smoked gammon with cauliflower, carrots and cheese sauce. Should all come to just under 1300 cals and about 15g carbs (bit light on veggie carbs today, but I'm sure I'll survive, lol).

Thanks Scrummie... Am weighing from now on! Lol...

Everyone is so fab! Xx

Go you girl - a tin of salmon would not go down well here - but of course I'm allergic, so duh Suze :D

I guess the thing to focus on is that the protein is filling you up.

Sxx

Well, a cheeky weigh in this morning reveals that I'm another pound down, so maybe those tinned salmon breakfasts should occur more often! :D

So that's 3lbs off in the last 12 days, and all of a sudden I'm just a pound (and a smidge) away from being in the 12's  Didn't see that coming! I wanted to be in the 12's by the end of July and I can now believe that it might even happen, much to my surprise since my weight loss has been soooo slow for such a long time now.

Looks like aiming for 1300 cals (with a few higher days thrown in) is working for me at the moment, maybe aided by the exercise. Or maybe it was simply time for my body to let go of more fat - it definitely seems to do it in fits and starts. Whatever, I'll carry on as I am until it stops working, then think again. I'm eating at a level that I find very comfortable and losing weight doing it, so I'm a happy camper.

Creamy coffee and cheese omelette for breakfast (9g butter, 30g cheddar, 2 medium eggs and 20ml double cream in my very large coffee). Not entirely sure what's coming later, but it will probably be cold ham salad for dinner. :)

Now to get some washing out on the line - first time in weeks!:D

Morning Scrummie... WOW... well done on the loss! you will certainly be in the 12s ... that is amazing!!...xxx

Gosh, I'm late to my diary today. Been busy catching up on stuff - nothing exciting, sadly!

Ducked out of the 3 mile walk today and settled for 2 miles instead. I'm still overheating way too easily, and felt rather nauseous and wobbly after only a mile :(. With the temperatures that are predicted for this week I reckon I'll have to get up and walk at five in the morning or some such nonsense if I want to go any distance, otherwise I'll simply melt.

Had a bit of a blip diet-wise as I got mugged by some very crispy chicken skin from the roast I made this evening - technically legal, I suppose, but probably took me way over my intended calories . Oh well. I'll just call it a "spike day", lol

So calories today were, um, about 1650  and carbs were 20g. Probably ruined my official weigh in tomorrow, but I'll try to compensate by going light on calories and see how I get on later in the week. That said, I sometimes lost after a higher cal day when I did JUDDD, so you never know!

Good luck for the weigh in Scrummie... Very brave to do it on a Monday xxx!

182.5lbs....gahhhh! so near and yet so far, lol. Still, that's 3.5lbs off in the last fortnight, so I'll definitely take that!

Trying to be good today; <1400 cals and <25g carbs. Not looking forward to my walk - all that blazing sun is scaring me . Might be better if I waited until the evening, though I never really feel like exercising then. Ho hum.

Off to catch up with my washing...so great to have drying weather, finally! :D

So near Scrummie... and you'll definitely do it... that focus of yours is like a Ninja!! lol xx

Thanks guys...with the support I get from you lovely people I definitely will get there :D.

Off for my walk in a minute - waaaaaay too hot to go earlier - but just thought I'd mention that I'll probably be AWOL for a couple of days as we're changing our internet and telephone provider, so goodness knows what's going to happen . Means I won't be able to track on FitDay either, so that'll be a tester for me...eek!

See you all when our technology is sorted! xx

Missing you already Scrummie... Hurry back! Xxx

I wasn't supposed to still have the internet this morning, but as I do I can announce that....*drumroll*..... I AM IN THE 12's!!!!!!:D Only by the skin of my teeth, but I am there...yay!

So that's 4.5lbs gone in the last 15 days, which is a really fast loss for me. Of course, I'm now wondering if those two weeks of JUDDD did more to me than I realised at the time; maybe I have a "skinny gene" after all, and two weeks was enough to give it a boot up the backside, lol. I won't be doing it again, though, so I shall never know!

This hot weather is doing a number on my appetite - barely scraped 1250 cals yesterday, and as it's getting hotter through the week, I'm not expecting to be feeling hungry any time soon! On the plus side, it sure is helping me to get all my water in - no probs there!

Hope it's sunny wherever you folks are! xx

FAN-FLIPPIN'-TASTIC Scrummie!!! I am SO jealous! - we were only about 7lbs apart a month ago and I'm no different to what I was then... SO chuffed for you and I shall do the same one day! lol

You must have a skinny gene... please god I've got one too! ... Onwards and downwards... xxx

Brilliant scrummie - and your change of plan probably served as a reasonably controlled duet break. Wooooo 12s!!

Ta, moonlights!..and yes, I'm thinking it might have done. It was certainly a shock to the system, lol.

Thanks, Di! I think the 14's are evil, lol - I was stuck solid in the low 14's for ages, which was why I tried the diet break, and thankfully, it did the trick. I'm keeping absolutely everything crossed that it does the same for you too!

In other news, I think my walking target is a goner :(. I just can't find the energy to do it in this weather, and it's carrying on all week. Last night I went out at nearly 9 o'clock, only went a mile and was still wrecked. It's pathetic but I'd rather draw a line and start again in August with a new challenge, and hope we don't get the heatwave to end all heatwaves(!)

Don't blame you on the walking front - it's hot dam hot!

And a big kiss and cuddle for getting into the 12s xxxxx

Ugh. This heat is killing me. I mean, I've been whinging about the lack of summer same as everyone else, but did we have to have it all at once?

My veggie carbs have gone through the floor the past couple of days. Too hot to cook, so all I'm eating is salads, and I find it tough to get enough carbs from them even with tomatoes, red peppers and grated carrots. Still, come the weekend it'll be back to business as usual (cool and showery), so I suppose I should really quit complaining :p

No change weight-wise today. I ought to stop scale-hopping every day, but now I want to know when I'm closing in on the 170's - always another mini-target, eh?

I haven't completely abandoned hope with my walking target given that we're due cooler weather in the next few days, but I'm going to be cutting it fine. Three 3 mile walks would do it...no bother. Hmmm....
