Sharon's Before 50 Plan

Thank you Moira and Geordie for your lovely comments. Hard getting back into routines and up at six this week. Food wise I've been keeping it simple and quick but on plan. Busy weekend ahead with family visiting but planning a BBQ and Asian curry, planning the week ahead food wise so that I'm not shopping on the run like I've had to do this week. Wine may be an issue with sister in law here so I need to work out how to count it in or avoid it - hmm well have to at least have a glass ;) WI tomorrow night - fingers crossed.

Tiring first week back at work but fully on plan so pleased with that. WI on Thurs showed plus 1.5 - I'd been hoping for a STS but am happy that my food choices have been good so hoping it's more fluid than anything else. Full house this weekend - food choices won't be a problem but not sure on the wine front this weekend with family visiting - flexi syns may need to come out to play.

Ok Big family day today and BBQ with family down from Aylesbury. Food is all planned out - home made burgers with baby bel lights in centre - 2 syns for babybel light and 3 syns for 12 per cent lean mince, as it's only 5 per cent that's free. Chicken/pepper/courgette skewers, tescos healthy choice Cumberland sausages 0.5 syns each, new potatoes and salad, skinless chicken thighs with Bramwells seasonings from Aldi :). There's cake that we froze from hubby's bday but not having that but will prob use flexi syns or some red wine. Tomorrow all planned - SW Asian cookbook Malaysian chicken and red pepper curry.

Not feeling despondent re class gain particularly as my scales put me lighter than per hols this am :). I've had four people this week comment on my weight loss this week and tell me I'm looking good, so chuffed with that as three stone at least still to go :) Travelling to France on 13 October so focus is to lose as much as poss before the 2 weeks away and then a day at a time on hols as I've just done and best choices. So want to be as close to target as possible by 50 th - 25/03/14, aiming for interim period goals really helps :)

Good morning back into the swing of things already and your plan for a good SW style BBQ is brilliant, I think I may have to pop in for some as I'm sure you'll cook too much haha, mind you if you do it's all free or very low syns. I think your wee gain of 1.5lb when you've been on holiday is fantastic it'll be off next week.
I'm hoping for a good week too its been raining up here so no plans to drive out to the seaside but going out for lunches & dinners so like you it'll be good choices but no wine! I'm driving instead.

Enjoy the family BBQ xx

Went for a long walk on part of the Camel trail yesterday, healthy SW food then down to Perranporth beach to watch the sunset. One glass of wine but all fine with yesterday's syns.

Need to lose as much as possible before my holiday in October, France for a week to see daughter for her 21 st, explore surrounding area and maybe a trip into Belgium for the day, Week 2 we decided to come back to the UK but to fly out for a warmer weather - week's hols all inclusive to Majorca. Will work out how to handle that when it's here re SW as wouldn't want to do major damage, but meantime need to be really good and work that out at the time.

Ok seven weeks to holiday 7-14 lbs off, prob 7 is realistic but considering swimming to see if I can boost it? Two weeks away for me in Oct and then on return 8 more weigh ins til Xmas for me - puts it into perspective hey! So I do need to be mindful of the price I may pay if I go way off track majorly in 2 weeks of holiday if I am to do well pre Xmas and be on track to be as close as possible to my target weight by 25/03/64 - not long when you break down the weeks is it. Hope I haven't sabotaged myself too much with the Saturday night wine. Need shorts for hols too as mine are mega big but don't want to get them yet or they'll be too big by the time I go - bras i had were ginormous - quite funny really when I tried them on pre recent hols lol

Off to the beach today - need to sort SW friendly picnic. Gammon, wedges, peas, sweetcorn and egg later for dinner.

Pic of Majorca holiday hotel also attached :)

Hello I think the food is the one that if we can manage it with ease, then personally i don't mind the wine as I'm never not going to drink but Geordie says martini is low syns so its just finding something you enjoy & saving your syns for it I reckon.

From your picture I'd love 1lb pw I'd be under my target in fact I'd be 8.13, wow that'd be most excellent. Majorca hotel looks lovely x

The chart re weight loss definitely makes you think hey :). I managed the food last time so I reckon a day at a time and see how it goes once there. Meantime just need to keep going. Need to find some shorts though for if we are walking around a bit but oh what size and cheap please as they won't fit for long. Thanks girls for all your support :) x x x

Oops today turned a but more synful than planned, afternoon on the beach and all was well but evening plans changed and we ended up at a little harbour for fish and chips. I just had fish though but did have a glass of red wine. Fully back on track from tomorrow. Our guests go home tomorrow so will try and out that halo back on for the rest of the week :).

Just had a wee catch up Sharon and it looks like your having a good time. You are so lucky to be off on hols again, I bet you can't wait. Majorca looks fab. Where are you going ?

Can't believe how close we are to Christmas again. I love it and always go a bit mad buying food and treats but I'm already saying I'm going to tone it down a bit this year, I wonder how long that idea lasts, lol
I wish I could be as organised as you on the food , oh well I will have to keep trying x

Hi Moira. I was definitely surprised when I totalled up the week pre hol and pre Xmas. I think we all tend to over stock at Xmas - need to be better this year - famous last words :). Holiday is Alcudia - not been to Majorca before but does look really nice. Day off work tomorrow with my daughter as she flies out to France Thurs for the start of her uni year abroad, Late into work on Thurs so I can say goodbye as her dad is picking her up for the airport and I didn't want her to leave an empty house. All new eras for her but an exciting year for her :)

Lucky you, Alcudia is fab ive been there a few times when my daughter was younger, its a lovely resort, very family orientated with some lovely restaurants. 7/8 mile of sandy beach and a lovely old town.
the last time i was there we stayed in alcudia iberostar ciudad blanca which was very central and close to the beach, whats the name of your place ? Its about 1.5 hours drive to Palma with some fab historical buildings and of course shopping too
Isent it great to be buying smaller clothes for the hols, what a good feeling !!!!!

best of luck to your daughter on her travels, im sure your going to miss her very much

Hotel Condesa de la Bahia - looks great. It's all inclusive which can be dangerous territory hey :) but will try and do damage limitation, especially as we're in France the week before. Will come around soon enough for sure. We're going to have lunch out today at one of our local little harbours but I'll be making healthy choices onthe menu :). Majorca sounds lovely from what you've said Moira. Clothes wise seasonal clothes are changing so a bit harder to pick up things last min as if I buy too soon they may be too big, will sort something out :)

Lunch sounded lovely Tracy :) treats sometimes are good for you. Your weight loss is fantastic and is certainly an inspiration to me :). Lovely new avatar piccy of you. Becky and I are out for treat lunch today (going to really miss her but it's so exciting for her too) but I'm going to choose wisely at lunch with the holiday a few weeks away. Think realistically I'll prob lose about 7 lbs if I stick with it but would so love it if it were closer to a stone, can but be good and do the time huh, no more naughties - back to normality now as guests have gone home :)

Thanks Sharon - lunch was nice (and naughty, even had a pud!). Kathryn took some pics on her phone, hence the new avatar, lol. She took quite a nice one of me and hub too:
