Sharon's Before 50 Plan

Hi Geordie. I have Asda at the mo - there was a special deal £15 for three months worth of delivering - bargain! :). Makes life easier with it being so full on. Sorted currency yesterday and will use card for fuel and some bits in France.

Good luck for WI Cookie.

Well really chuffed - lost 2lbs so 2st 9 gone in total now since April but 3 st 5 from when my parents died. I also got Slimmer of the Week :).

Been a v stressful working week and still tomorrow to go, thankfully only one more week before I escape on holiday. Need a less stressful job.

Had a nice chilli for dinner tonight.

Well done Sharon, you're doing brilliantly! You're off on holiday and I'm off to have my gallbladder out next week - wanna swap?! :) xx

Thanks Tracy x. Think I'll keep to the holiday but thanks for offering :). Seriously though glad you have a date and they are getting it sorted for you. Keyhole surgery isn't too bad - my stepdaughter had her gall bladder out with that aged 18 bless her. Sore but eventually made things much better for her. Hope it all goes well and you make a speedy recovery x

Apparently you can buy these in Asda for £1 ( sometimes on offer for 50p) worth looking for. They're frozen cubes.

Don't know about you guys but soo glad it's Friday, though an know today will be another mad day. Whole admin team is stressed as there's just way too much workload and pressure, no holiday or sickness cover, etc. Definitely in need of my holiday, even though my hours aren't covered - crazy huh.

Thanks Sharon! I'm really hoping they can do it keyhole - thinks it's about 30% that have to be converted to open surgery after they start the op, so I've signed a consent for both. It's the not knowing for sure what they'll do that's making me a bit nervous, lol.

Have a fabulous holiday! :) xx

Lol good one Geordie - cant go wrong huh :). Cubes do look good Cookie - am definitely getting some.

Out to lunch tomorrow in celebration for my step daughter's birthday, but harbour place where we've been before and easy to make a healthy choice. Packing starts this weekend YAY. Glass of wine later but counted - treat after a mega stressful working week. Thank goodness only one more week before my holiday. Woop Woop :) excited!!!!

Know it's tough not knowing but whatever happens in the long run its going to make you feel so much better Tracy. Definitely will be great holiday - travel Sat 12th but might be able to check in here and there on my travels :). Excited.

Found the Dorot cubes in Asda frozen section on offer for 50p so have the garlic, red chilli and ginger ones now in my freezer :). Had lunch out yesterday for my stepdaughter's 25th birthday but had seafood salad so all SW friendly. Did have a slice of birthday cake. Ate fresh fruit and muller light for breakfast and ham omlette for tea. Small glass of wine in the evening so syns will be up a wee bit but not too bad as had less earlier in the week.

Managed to find someone to make my daughter's 21st birthday cake - phew, picking it up on Fri evening - special delivery to France :) having shellac nails done on Fri after work too, will last 2 weeks while I'm way so won't have to fath with it on hols :) will do my own pedicure ish with similar opi perry glittery pink - cant pay out for both.

Felt a bit under the weather last night with sore throat and bit achy so hoping a good nights sleep will have kicked that into touch. Loads to do today, cut hubby's hair, clean the house, start packing. Currently still in bed on iPad and hubby just brought me a cup of tea :). Not sure what dinner will be yet today as deferring roast to tomorrow when everyone is home so need to find a plan b now.

Hi Geordie. Just really focused to do what I can pre hols and breaking down my goals before events etc as I've a lot to lose. My 50th in March and big family wedding then too is helping me keep my focus too. Not sure how the holiday will go but plan on taking it a day at a time and back to class ASAP on return - definitely plan on enjoying myself too :).

Shellac nails are hard wearing and last really well so a good treat to have when being away, glittery sparkly pale pink is what I'm going to have so they'll sparkle in the light/sunlight. Ok off to cut hubby's hair :)

Planning the Mayflower chicken curry for dinner tomorrow - 28g of sauce powder made up,us 5.5 syns and you add it to cooked chicken breast, peas and onions - meant to be like from Chinese - will let you know! Hi aqua, your hubby is a doll, bless him for cooking SW meals. Sorry your work is still so stressful but not long to go for your holidays. I cooked my first dish from the Asian cookbook tonight yay! I had to adjust it though as I don't have magnet out, shiitake mushrooms or carrots. I used courgettes, sweet corn mushrooms and mixed peppers & onions. It was lovely, the BF enjoyed it too but as its enough for 4 we've got it for another dinner on Wednesday.

Love the picture by the way. With the mayflower, I've seen it on the minis a few times so think you'll enjoy it. Don't forget to post a piccy xx

Oo nice idea - half a Xmas pud Hi fi crumbled in bottom, half a tub of quark with sweetener, then other half of bar crumbled on top. Other suggestions are add rum essence to quark or white chocolate options and syn that. Not tried it yet but looks lush.

Ok off to count down another day pre hols at stress city.

Hi All. Mega stressful working day and have had a small glass of red wine since home, but counted. 2.5 working days left and counting. Piccy of mayflower curry uploaded, thickened up really well but I'd have preferred it a bit hotter so might add a bit more curry powder next time. There is a hot version. Still prefer the SW Asian chicken and red pepper curry but this is quick, have some to use up as bought two pkts that serve 9 (powder in plastic re sealable tub) but will add a bit more curry powder next time and I'm sure it will be fine. Will see what hubby and son think if it when they get in :)
