Sharon's Before 50 Plan

Wow you looked gorgeous. Family photos are lovely, your son has done brilliant and I'm so glad you had a lovely family day out. Xxx

Hi Aqua, not sure if your wi tomorrow but if you do then good luck I'm not sure if you booked it as a holiday with your sons graduation. Either way have a good day. I'm wi tomorrow at 5.30 xx

Thanks Cookie, it was a fantastic day on Monday. Been shattered this week Geordie so definitely chilling. Weigh in tonight I'm -1lb so chuffed with that with the graduation celebrations, but then I'd been good and maintained for 2 weeks so cumulative effect at last :). We're away this weekend to Aylesbury as Dave's youngest son and partner had their baby girl yesterday, so Monday now booked off to make it a worthwhile trip. Diet wise will be a day at a time as we're staying with family and don't know what food will be on offer but will do my best and carry on next week.

Our consultant had a Xmas parcel wrapped for us to all hold tonight, was hefty - it was 14lbs, ie what a stone feels like and 14 weeks at 1lb a week would be that - makes you think!

I have had such a busy few days! Work really busy and I was out and about Tuesday and Wednesday. Yesterday started ok then we got a call to say mother in law was well enough to come home which was great news but nothing sorted for her! So load s of calls yesterday and today had to go to hospital and meet social worker to organise some home care for her. Last night ended up in a take away again cos I didn't have time. Chicken shaslik though so good. Foods been great haven't time to list it all but the problem as ever a few wee glasses of red to sort my nerves! !! Have a great weekend all xxx

Hi Geordie So glad to hear that your MIL is home from hospital :) sounds a but of a rush getting home sorted for her. I know it's been a lot of worry and stress for you. We're now up in Aylesbury for the weekend, saw Mila-Rose (2 days old) late last night as they were all here at hubby's sisters waiting for us :). Food wise I'm at the mercy of family this weekend so will do best I can with it and carry on after. Three. More WIs before my holiday.

Sounds like a lovely weekend. You will just have to be careful with food as far as you can I guess. Love babies. Such a special time which goes so quickly. Enjoy having a hold and cuddles with her, wish we had a baby in the family! Still time yet !! But not for me lol. Enjoy your weekend and dont beat yourself up if you struggle with food choices xxxx :)

Well Saturday could have been worse. First meal at 3pm - lemon piri piri skewers with jacket potato, coleslaw and side salad, 2 onion rings, diet coke (no wine), around 8.30 jacket potato with ladle of chilli and light sprinkling of cheese back at sister in laws. About 4 cups of tea with sweeteners. Out to lunch but today but think that's a carvery. Baby is gorgeous :)

Just working out what I might be able to lose before my 50th at current average of 1.47 a week, 37.8 lbs, which is about 2 st 9.5 or so not allowing for holidays or Xmas. Wonder if I can speed that up somehow as 3 st 4 to current target I have set, though may lose a bit more from there. Might need to look at plans and try to include more speed foods. Could do with fitting in some exercise really. Need to do good damage limitation in forthcoming hols and Xmas is I'm going to achieve this.

So far today had 2 slices of 50/50 bread toasted, scraping of low fat spread with marmite, went for a walk and hubby stopped at Tescos for me so I could buy some fresh fruit salad pre packs for us for lunch snack and had a banana too. Popping out for a carvery in a mo so will make as healthy a choice as I can. Could be worse with staying with family and not having as much control as usual with the food.

Hello Aqua, your weekend sounds lovely and a new baby girl! Congratulations. Meal choices have sounded pretty good actually. I on the other hand have been a bad girl yesterday which I don't mind one meal a week but I didn't enjoy it so its a double disappointment really. Oh well I started fresh today and so back on it xx

Hi All. Well dinner yesterday turned out not to be a carvery but I had grilled chicken breast, half rack ribs with BBQ sauce, jacket potato, corn on the cob and house salad. Diet coke but had one standard glass of Rioja red wine. All in all the weekend food could have been worse so pleased with how it went - we ended up eating out which gave me more choice. Homeward bound today.

Cookie don't beat yourself up, today is a brand new day and you just carry on. Life happens x

Back home :). Had one slice if 50/50 with low fat spread and marmite ( only bread sister in law had in), 2 bananas, a mixed fresh fruit salad, diet coke, tea, K chilli crisps 4.5 syns, M & S crayon fish tail pre packed salad, made chilli when I got home with rice and small sprinkling of low fat cheddar - could be worse. Not totalling syns just know I did the best with it I could. Sandwich packed for work tomorrow with smoked salmon, back to fruit and yoghurt for breakfast, Malaysian red pepper curry planned for dinner as we have some friends down in the area from London who are now coming to dinner tomorrow night.

Got new work trousers as current ones make me feel like coco the clown they've got so baggy. Still figure I'm between sizes but found some that fit so not worrying about labels - hubby says they look much better, picking up 2nd pair from M&S Weds after work.

Hi aqua. Your weekend sounded great both food wise and spending time with family. Well done on the wine you have more will power than me. New trousers it will have to be, top s are easier but when its bottom s you have to bite the bullet and get new. I am sure you will achieve the weight loss you want by your birthday it sounds like its achievable but the only blot on the landscape for us all I guess is Christmas! !! How long for your hols? We are off at half term and debating going away for a cheapy week, maybe Egypt

Hello Aqua, weight loss always slows down but last week a long term member lost 6lbs she said she went back to basics & stuck to it 100% so maybe we'll all have one of them boost weeks. I know I'm looking forward to mine. Xx

:). Only three more WIs before hols. Had friends from London over for dinner tonight as they are staying nearby. Had the malaysian red pepper and chicken curry, everyone else had cheesecake for pud and I abstained, can you see my halo lol. Shattered so off to bed in mo, busy full on day at work, then social evening today. Could definitely do with a boost week weight loss.

That halo is shining bright Aqua, good resistance on the pudding. Hope you have a good day, I'm in work later so I'll pop by tomorrow xx

Such a busy and stressful work day today - shattered. Magi Mexican chicken cooking for dinner, serving it with new potatoes and corn on the cob. Been good and worked out meals for next week too - shopping list sorted. Going to try the Maggi garlic chicken next week, making cottage pie, beef and red wine casserole, loin chops, red Thai curry, roast, chilli - so all planned. Think I need an early night as was awake before 5, head engaged to work mode and then I couldn't sleep argh lol.
