Piccy of the Shellac Geordie. Broke nails a but at work this week so short but still looks nice, pale pink with holographic sparkly glitter so they sparkle in the light and sunlight :) won't have to bother with them now for two weeks so worth it for holiday. Will revert to doing my own after hols but maybe have a treat again at Xmas. Soo not easy to get a good piccy one handed lol

Hey sharon they are lovely. I have been looking about to see if anywhere here do them cos I think it might be a worth while treat for my hols. I only ever paint my fingers clear on holiday as it never last s when in and out of pool and putting on sun cream s. I have never had false ones! Had a great night out last night and slept til 9.45. Not like me! ! :)

Hi All. Had an amazing time in France and fantastic 21st celebrations with Becky, pics attached and one with my son and daughter. Went to Pommery and hubby bought me a bottle of vintage champagne and Pommery bucket for my. 50th - early pressie to save for March :). Syns are up and halo is doubling as ankle bracelet but having a fab time and will haul it back as soon as I am home :). Majorca is beautiful, hotel right on the beach, food is lovely, loads of lovely salads but the cocktails have been a wee bit tempting, another long walk after breakfast and a bit of swimming me thinks. Hope you are all doing well xx

Sharon, I found your diary last night and sat and read every page. Well done so far. You really inspired me to carry on regardless, I've had a rough couple of weeks but we are off to Majorca on Thursday so I'll be able to swim every day and we love walking so I'm going to tread carefully this next week then join our local SW group on the Thursday that we get back.
thanks for writing this diary you've been the kick up the bum I needed

Anne x

Hi Anne, glad you enjoyed - that's quite some reading, flattered that it's inspired you. Majorca is lovely - first visit here for us. Where are you staying? We walked for three hours yesterday am along the beach and into Alcudia port and back, had walked the other way along the beach the day before - v long beach, Today is market day in Alcudia old town so off for an explore there today and hopefully a bit of time on the beach later. It's great to see people of all ages and sizes enjoying themselves. I'm even wearing a two piece for the first time in about 28 years! Ok I'm chubby on the tummy, but hey so are a lot of women, determined that the rest of this weight will go even with a holiday gain - being a bit naughtier than I'd originally planned but having plenty of salads and fruit too. Have four days before my class WI on return so shall relaunch halo from ankle bracelet to Miss Goodie on my return :). Look fwd to hearing about your SW journey so keep in touch and let me know when you start your diary post Hols :)

Hi sharon,
We are staying at the Jupiter quite a way from where you are. We stayed at the Condessa a few years ago its a fantastic place so close to the sea. We also stayed at the Continental Park just across the road from you I love Majorca and have been to a few resorts over the years.
I intend to eat well while we are there if poss and walk walk walk hows the weather? well its better than here whatever its like. Its pouring down and quite cold.:sigh:
Have a good holiday I'll be back on the 31st and the class is 31st so I'll go just to see what harm I have done then I'll start with a vengance. I may call into another class Wednesday to get a final WI can't wait x

Hello Tracey,
Hope that you are feeling a bit better now. I had mine out last year and find that now I don't want fatty food in case I have an attack, I don't think you can after its removed but you know human nature and all that, I'm still worried. I love the SW "diet" because its quite fat free. you'll soon be back to normal
Good Luck, but walk don't run, it takes 6 weeks to get back to normal ( whatever normal is) x

Thank you Anne, so nice of you to share your experience with me! I am finding my digestive system a little different - I've fasted until lunchtime for many months now, but am finding I can't do that at the moment, as I feel sick, and I'm also feeling full a lot quicker, which is no bad thing! Have you found weight loss any harder since having your GB out? Thanks again. :) xx

More great pics, Sharon! I'm quite envious, as I'm stuck at home by myself (well, apart from my lovely guinea pigs, with whom I'm having some interesting in-depth conversations!). :) xx

Hi Tracy,
I find I feel fuller quicker, but hey ho that doesn't always stop me carrying on, especially when its Chinese or Indian. I'm a bit more cautious of fatty food and couldn't eat the full english breakfast, sadly!! I feel with me sometimes stress makes my weight loss slower. My youngest daughter has just moved away, she bought the house next door but one to us in 98 and has just bought another a couple of miles away, she's been on her own with 2 kids most of the time so I've always been there to help out, but when she said that she was moving, it felt like my whole world was crumbling (sorry but I can still cry at the thought) so even though I try most of the time the weight seems to stick, plus the doc has now found that I have an under active thyriod...just what you don't need, but they are giving me medication so hopefully once they get the dosage right, I should, hopefully be able to lose weight ..fingers crossed.
I bet you wished you'd never asked, sorry for taking over your thread Sharon.

Anne x

Hey no worries guys :). I have under active thyroid Anne and been on meds since March - all sorted, feeling better and up until hols losing weight so I'm sure it will be fine Anne. Tracy you get that sore throat sorted soon, I'm sure the guinea pigs value the interaction xxx Tash it's so lovely here and Anne it's been hot and lovely :) hope it lasts for you too, we've been on the beach again today and did the old town this am. Interspersing with cola light to help a bit, she hopes :). But main thing is we are having fun :) Spa bath in the en suite and the food is lovely - had salmon and salad for lunch. Not all bad :). Salmon was lush. Ok off to get ready for dinner and try and exercise some sort of 'choice power'. Feel free to kick my ass when I'm home guys lol xx

Hi Sharon and Anne! I had my thyroid tested just before my GB op, as I told the doctor I was feeling ridiculously cold all the time. I presume the surgery would have contacted me if there was a problem, but I haven't rang them to follow it up yet. I can imagine it must be hard to have your daughter move away, Anne - and I know you've had the same thing too, Sharon - mine's only 13 so I've hopefully got a while before I have to deal with that! Mind you, she spends most of her time in her room on her iPad, nattering endlessly to her friends on Facetime and social media, lol. :) xx
