Sharon's Before 50 Plan

Hello Aqua, sorry to here the your feeling a little under the weather and having a stressful job = no fun at all. Good idea to keep an eye out on the job market. I sometimes wonder what it'd be like to do something different but really I just want to be a stay at home kept woman! If only the BF had mega bucks!
How's food been today and what you got planned for the rest of the week? Xx

Oo being a kept woman does sound good lol. If only :)......

Food's been fine, mixed berries, grapes, v low fat fromage frais, tsp honey for brekkie.
Ham, tomatoes, sweet and sour mugshot, muller light yoghurt for lunch
Snacks - banana, plums and pkt velvet crisps - 5 syns
Skinless chicken thighs with Cajun spice, roasted frylight new potatoes, carrots and broccoli for tea.
Still HEx short as forgot my ryvitas for work - oops

Keeping things easy prep food wise for first week back at work - gammons tomorrow night, chilli another and have some birds eye simply salmon fillets for another night. Will sort shopping list/ food plan for next week tomorrow night. Had home made burgers last night with babybel light in centre and put some in the freezer ready for next week.

Reading new copy of SW mag which came out whilst I was away as have subscription so downloaded to I-pad :) monthly has arrived too so hoping with being back on plan and a few days of that gone that the WI on Thurs might be a little kinder - a gal can hope :)

Wow it sounds like your back on plan to me, meals sounds lovely I've got the new mag too but yet to open it, I'm still reading Octobers issue! I'm going to do some batch cooking as soon as I manage to run the freezer down, we've got so much food. Xx

Batch cooking is always a good idea if you can. Cooking for the whole family it usually goes here but down to just three of us at mo as my youngest daughter is in France til Xmas and my stepdaughter has moved to Aylesbury for a new job for now. May get the odd meal in the freezer for a while. 8 more Weigh ins pre Xmas including this Thurs - need to be good :)

Thanks girls. Hubby is home early today so is cooking SW dinner - frylight potato Cajun wedges, gammon, egg, fresh pineapple and peas. :). Determined virus is not going to mess up my plan though. Hope virus does one real quick as just want to get back to routines, was just getting stuff sorted at work grrrr At least I know some of the priority stuff is all in hand - don't like letting anyone down.

Hope you're feeling a bit better, Sharon. Our new Sky Hub just arrived and I managed to get it working - yippee!! You don't half miss having proper internet access, ridiculous, isn't it? Kathryn was like a starving man having his first meal when it came back on! :D xx

Lol. What did we do before the internet, mobiles, etc huh - but there were so many advantages too :). Poor Kathryn.

Still feeling unwell which is pants but life. Won't WI tonight but on plan. Did you see the programme on channel 5 last night - I lost my weight but lost my husband - quite sad really but I think it just unearths probs in some ways that would have always been there under different circumstance.

I know, it's scary how much we rely on it nowadays - I do all my shopping online as well as banking, social media etc. Kathryn's been having dreadful withdrawal symptoms, lol - she's now happily back with her iPad glued to her hand, on Facetime to her friend; we've had to get used to there always being another teenager in the house via videocall, so have to watch what we say when the iPad's in the room!!

I recorded that programme last night, so will probably watch it tonight, if I'm allowed - Kathryn's having a Halloween sleepover, but I'm hoping they'll either be out trick or treating, or up in her room eating sweets and watching scary movies!

I hope you feel a bit better soon. :) xx

Hello how you feeling today? I gained 0.5lb :(. I'll just have to have a 100% week to get my 1.5 stone award xx

It'll come off Cookie x I replied to your post on your diary. You will do it. Don't let it get to you. I've gained on hols but it will come off and more - all worth it in the end. Off today and on Ibuprofen - achy pains have been quite bad but seem to be a bit better than first thing this am. Annoying to have picked up another bad virus, don't normally get grounded so badly with them but had 3 nasty ones this year and the last 2 within 3/12 which means work will send me a letter because if it :( but what can you do, normally work through stuff. Annoying post hols but one of those things. Means I won't WI now later but shall just carry on being good and log it officially next week.

Hi All, Back from Alcudia last night so we had a chippie tea to finish off the hols. weighed at home this morning and not sure but think its only 1 on. hopefully that will have gone for WI on wednesday but back on it today. Had a fab time but it rained the last couple of days:sigh: washing and cleaning today and shopping the big shop later, so I will only buy SW healthy food ( I hope).

Get well soon sharon xx

Hi Anne. welcome back. Shame about the rain you had. Glad you had a fab time. Only plus one is excellent - mine will take a while longer to budge but not stressing about it, been back on plan since we got back :). Didn't weigh yesterday as was unwell but will try and get an idea on mine as to how I'm doing and officially weigh in again next Thursday. Still off today but should be back to work on Monday and back to routines. Asda food shop all ordered for later home delivery and all to plan - does help take the stress out of the week and it was only £15 for 3/12 delivery.

Hello Aqua, don't go back to work on Monday unless your 100% please, want you back to full fitness before you go back to that stressful environment.

I'll get off my soap box now :) seriously have a good day and chill out xx

Don't worry I am resting up. Took it easy this am and went back to bed this afternoon and slept. Asda shopping has arrived so all done and will just throw chilli (not literally) on the stove in a while lol, hubby is working late. He's half day tomorrow and off on Sunday so will pitch in and tidy as we have a house viewing on Monday. He'll help with cooking for sure at the weekend. Will take it easy over the weekend and hopefully go back on Monday as I'd much rather be back in getting things done than be sat at home unwell, but I will be sensible if I'm not well the weekend. Just want to get back into normal routines and back at SW too to be honest.

Can't believe it's only seven weeks to Xmas - this holiday gain needs to shift ASAP so I can move fwd then work out how to handle Xmas but determined that 2014 will be my year to completely shift the surplus - feel soo much better for losing what I have thus far :)

Well as I couldn't weigh at class this week so I weighed on my own scales and by my reckoning I've reduced the holiday gain to about plus five now from eight - could be worse. Will keep at it and see how much I can shift by my official WI next Thurs, annoying that I couldn't get there this week due to virus. SW Asian cookbook recipe for tea - chicken and red pepper Malaysian curry - one of my favourites :) Roast chicken planned for tomorrow. Breakfast is mostly always fresh fruit, v low fat fromage frais and a tbsp of runny honey - tasty. May have HEX of Dorset muesli with that today as HEX for a change.
