Sharon's Before 50 Plan

Had some lovely roast turkey leg for dinner, cooked in the slow cooker so it literally fell off the bone yum yum. Frylight roast potatoes and parsnips, broccoli and carrots. Enough left for sandwiches for everyone tomorrow. Also bought some yoghurts in lidyl earlier that I've seen people talking about - mint with chocolate sprinkles is lush, bit like echoes of after eights and only 0.5 syns. Schwartz slow cooker chicken curry on the menu for tomorrow :)

Turkey leg sounds yum and they are cheap too aren't they.

Yes I am in Malta fir Xmas, New year and my 50th :)

Sounds lovely Teresa. Fab way to celebrate. Turkey legs are reasonably priced, meat is getting so expensive in general hey. Definitely going to do again. It was like thigh and leg in a big pack for that money, so well worth it.

Turkey leg sounds yummy how do you do it in the slow cooker? ? :)

Hi Geordie, yup just put it in the slow cooker on low all day with a tiny bit of water; it then just literally falls off the bone. Yum Yum. The Schwartz curry tonight is also a slow cooker recipe and is a hit with the whole family - enough left for lunch tomorrow - it's a bit like a Byriani type curry - delicious. Have pie tomorrow as hubby made two when he made them and we froze one - recipe from last SW magazine, so just need to do potatoes and veg and warm up the pie tomorrow :) Worked out meals/shopping list for next week so just need to sort on line shopping order tomorrow. WI tomorrow.

Decided the tree needed a little more colour so red hearts added and some light up pressies :).

Didn't go to class but I think today would have shown STS whereas yesterday holiday weight would have been gone, hey ho - just have to stick with it but didn't feel like weighing so booked a hol as couldn't stay tonight anyhow. Will stick with it but it is annoying. ImageUploadedByMiniMins.com1386266464.504019.jpg

Food in your house always sounds yummy. I only ever do stew type consistancy food in my slow cooker should give just meat a go. Your tree is fabulous. I love real trees! !! :)

We've not had a real tree before so it's nice :). Makes a change. Meat cooks really well in slow cooker, I've done whole chickens, pork joints etc in it too. Makes the meat really tender Geordie. We had pie, mash and baked beans tonight. Cookie. Well done x. I didn't weigh this week, just weighed at home instead but will WI properly again next week.

Sound like you really have your planning hat on Sharon! Can I borrow it?? xx

:) Xmas needs to be a chilled affair - hate last min rush, more fun this way. Food wise trying to keep in track pre Xmas Tasha. Could do with a miraculous 6 lbs off and 3 st award in the next week but resigning myself to that not happening lol - my body has just decided it doesn't want to give it up currently lol. Next week hopefully there will be a bit of a loss but week before Xmas a STS would be good as have two meals out. Will keep going well into 2014 and look forward to eventually joining the target club :) Earlier I thought I had 3 more weigh ins pre Xmas but it just dawned on me there are only two - oops 2014 it is but still chuffed at the difference thus far this year.

Iceland offers sound great. No time to go this weekend. You sound quite organised for Christmas. Don't worry about the weight this month. I reckon as long as you don't put on and keep in control which sounds exactly what you are doing!!

Getting there with the Xmas stuff :) popping to Iceland this afternoon. Hair trim and nails this am, so treat time :) Making SW Asian cookbook Malaysian chicken and red pepper curry later :). Weight will now be do what can but try not to gain I think though am hoping for a loss next week and aim for STS week before Xmas week, but you are right it does become more about keeping in control this time of year - so tempting otherwise isn't it. It's good to be in control though or I'd gain a load before Xmas even got here.

Katie glad you liked the cartoon - oh if only huh :)
