Sharon's Before 50 Plan

Thanks, Sharon. You're right, the first anniversary is hard - it was such an emotional day when my Mum died, because she was at home and we were all around her, the whole close family, watching her slip away, so it's hard not to think about it on that anniversary. Kathryn actually ended up having to leave school on Monday morning because she was very upset - she went round to my Dad's, as he lives literally next door to her school, and they had a cry together. I've got my first real naughtiness of the Christmas season tomorrow - a three course lunch with work - and I don't intend to hold back, lol. :) xx
That was a v special gift you all gave her being there xx Good to have a cry sometimes and I'm not surprised the first anniversary hit you all so hard xx Losing someone is not something we get over it's more a case of with time we learn to live with it even though we miss them xx Doesn't mean that in life there won't be times where we feel the hurt more or have a tear but she'd want you all to live your lives and make some great memories I am sure xx

Sounds like you are going to enjoy tomorrow :). I'm really fancying chocolate but holding back at the mo, imminent monthly is not helping this as I am so hungry this week! Hubby and son have chocolate bomb pudding and squirty cream and I have nada - may need to find fruit!

Bought the attached at Range today - YAY, now wishing I bought the snowman too

Made chicken new yorker for tea which was really nice and all SW friendly.

Thank you, Sharon, I do appreciate your kind words. :)

Know what you mean about fancying chocolate - we were given our traditional Christmas chocolate at work today, 3 bars of locally handmade chocolate, one milk with raspberry, one dark choc mint, and one white choc. They've been sitting on my desk all day, taunting me, lol. Think I'll keep the raspberry one for myself and give the others to Paul and Kathryn! In the meantime, I've restricted myself to my 19 cal advent calendar chocolate!!

I love your Santa! I've managed to resist buying any new decs this year, lol.

Can't wait for my nosh tomorrow! :D xx

Mixed berries, banana, grapes, v low fat fromage frais and a drizzle of honey for breakfast. Have some potato and leek soup for lunch. Planning homemade potato cajun wedges and homemade burgers for tea with some baked beans.

WI day tomorrow but might even show a gain with monthly due - just have to stick with it and what will be will be.

Only one week now until Xmas Day.

Hello Aqua, I'm so sorry I have fallen behind but what a lovely sight looking at your lovely wedding photographs! Made me smile you look absolutely stunning,
Happy anniversary for Sunday.

I'm also dreading its my star week and its been quite heavy, I'm still on plan food wise but i feel heavy. We can not carry on and see what happens tomorrow. I'm in work again tonight so hope you have a good day xxx:):)

Good luck with WI tomorrow, there's not much you can do about gains at that time of month but at least you will know it's just water retention and it will go away again - until the next time that is.... we really do get the rough end of the stick don't we? Mine are finished now but that doesn't necessarily help with weight loss...

Ooh, Cajun wedges and homemade burgers sounds yummy! I am planning to have Lamb Shank in Minty gravy tonight - still can't believe it's free! (Our local Iceland have it back in) I think the veggies will have to be in a side dish, my plates aren't big enough :D

Thanks Cookie. Xx at the end of the day we can but do our best and let the monthly do it's worse. Maybe if we do have a fluid blip it may help us gain less next week as in what shows on the scales :) every cloud and all that lol Shall try and keep on plan til Xmas.

Definitely the rough end of the stick. I guess mine will stop eventually but even so as women we can still follow a fluid pattern etc for always hey ho, but at least the yeucky bit may be over :) Lamb shanks sound great - didn't have any in stock when I looked yesterday but bought some chops in mint gravy, need to look up the syns, hoping they will be low or free :) your side plate idea sounds a good idea :) Great diet huh :)

Well gained 1.5 lbs - hoping that it's due to monthly which is due today. Yes I had two meals out but drank diet coke and with dieting all week around it wouldn't expect to gain normally; though thought I would with monthly due hey ho - does make one feel a tad like stuff it what can I eat lol I know you will appreciate the attached cartoon ! :) Just had caribbean pepperpot stew - really tasty beef recipe with Jamaican jerk seasoning served with rice. Syn free on EE plan. Have fish pie in the freezer from last week for tea tomorrow.

It's bound to be the monthly that caused it Sharon! I know how you feel though, sometimes if we tell ourselves that we will probably have a "gain" week because we know we probably will, we still really want the "wow that's a bonus" loss when we get weighed! Bit like buying a lottery ticket really! :D

I hope you don't feel too disheartened, you have done so well in such a short time and next week you will probably have a nice big loss to make up for it!

The stew sounds lovely, must look up the recipe for that!

Hello! Aqua I can't believe you gained too! I didn't think we did bad on our foods at all so it must be our monthly cycle, its been making me sweat like a beast at bedtime and i just feel swollen up and heavy. I'm sorry about the gain all the same, I still want to enjoy Christmas but I'm going to aim to stick to plan up until Christmas Day and then see what happens.

What's your plan over Christmas? Xxx
