Well have signed up, so another half marathon in 7 weeks!!! I can actually run the route as part of my training, so will probably be easier than the one I did yesterday. Least I have a plan to follow, so it will motivate me.
Thank goodness it's Friday!!!
It's my birthday meal and laser quest 2moro, so should be good. I am also heading out for an 8 mile run 2moro, so that will be interesting!!
My weight has gone from 7lb increase to just 2lb increase in the last few days. Presumably this is to do with inflamed muscles?? Hopefully another day will bring my weight back to normal!!
Yeah, all that running will plat havoc with the weight loss, glad the gain has almost gone, but to be honest I wouldn't pay much attention to it.
Have an amazing birthday Shaz, enjoy!!!! xxx
Just a quick update, then going to exercise and then going to try and catch up with everyone.
Things are going well for me. My next half marathon is 6 weeks away, I'm on track with my schedule and getting lots of training in.
Must say I am loving the calories I am burning
I have now fully recovered from my race. Didn't expect it to have effected me quite so much or for so long! Hopefully the next race won't be as bad.
Food wise I'm kinda doing ok, I'm logging my cals everyday, but it is looking a bit depressing. I find it so hard to stay within my cals. However I know I need to eat more to do the running I am doing and I think my weight is fairly stable, so probably shouldn't worry.
I am about to start Kettleworx again. I did say I wouldn't do it again until I got to goal, but don't think that will ever happen now!
Sounds like you've been a busy, busy bee! I wouldn't worry too much about your calories at the moment, your body obviously needs them to recover from the running and if your weight is stable, shows you're not doing badly. Good luck with Kettleworx
Yeah I agree with Caroline. Don't worry too much. Clearly your body is craving the calories because you're working it so hard. Everything sounding good though hun.
OMG!! I had forgotten how much kettlebells hurt the next day!!
Thanks guys, you have all made me feel better about the extra food I am consuming. I am going to stop worrying about it until after the race.
I have done some research and I found out, after 40 mins of running your body continues to burn calories for an additional 14 hours afterwards. Presumably this increases the longer you run, which will be why I get severe munchies the day after.
My hard work done for the day, 11 mile run. So time for feet up in the garden enjoying the sun. Probably followed by a nice glass of wine and and bbq later.
Decided kettlebells and long runs do not go together!! Body still aching today from that kettlebell!!!!! Will wait until I have done my next race then pick it up again. Must have looked a right wally when I first set off my run this morning, legs were in so much pain, lol
Aha, found you!! Great going on the run! Loving that 40 mins running continues burning caliries fir up to 14 hours! The amount of running you're diing, you should constantly be burning calories! Enjoy your afternoon in the sun (you mad person!) and your BBQ xx
